Sorry, noob question. I have portforward for Bitcomet and Utorrent, how different for it to be to portforward for ktorrent, or can I just use the same port?

I'll be using ktorrent with Slax 6.0rc6

Thanks.

Oh, anybody has a module for deluge for slax?

yes. you can use the same port. if you are using vmware, i dont suggest running both bitcomet/utorrent and ktorrent at the same time.

I see, so I dont have to do anything at the router, but just set in ktorrent the same port number that I use in utorrent right? And just run ktorrent only.

i cant find a deluge package for slax
you have to compile it yourself. FUN!
browse to where you have uncompressed the tarball. then:
CODE
sudo ./compile
sudo make
sudo make install

im pretty sure slax has a sudo command. if it doesnt just run the "su" command and put in your root password.

I have yet to master compiling... but maybe I'll give it a go. Thanks.

Hey guys, how do I know that I've portforward correctly in ktorrent (like the green light in utorrent?). Need to make sure, eventhough I can get 50kbs for international peers. (I'm, using streamyx 512)

And how do I set a static IP in slax?

Thanks.

I still have no problem with Deluge, just occasionnally crash for no apparent reason.

New deluge user here. Still no problem except occasionally crash like you. I guess I'm not the only one. But the speed is good, I just use all the default settings except change the port number and set the active torrent limit no and speed limit. rclxms.gif

Point your cursor on 'Windows Installer' after you've selected Windows' distro and check the file name on your browser's status bar. It should give the specific version hint.

please note that your not installing the C++ as in C++ , your just installing the runtime files smile.gif , just to clarify some confusion, later people think your installing c++ the compiler and stuff..

How to install this? Can provide link? or just auto-update windows?
