S20U got sd card slot. It's expected that some people will choose S20 instead of S21 due to this feature. So don't be surprised if Samsung won't cut the price for S20 series.

The only reason why they cut the price for S20fe is because the sales is bad. I mean, who the hell will go to buy S20fe while S20fe 5g is available?

Do you care about battery life? If you do, then stay away from 20+. Just go for the S20 fe.

A sincere advise from an ex-S20+ owner.

If you switch to fhd 60 hz mode, sure can last 6 hours. No problem.

But once you switch to 120hz, expect the battery life cut by half.

Also, the standby drain is bad.

For a non-gamer, using the phone casually should be not an issue. But since it got the 120hz screen, it would be a waste if you switch it off in order to save battery life. That's why I suggest you go for S20fe, at least snapdragon battery life is excellent.

Of course, if you want qhd screen plus larger screen plus glass back, then S20+ is the winner. Other than that, S20fe is better in every aspect.

Well, it depends on personal usage. For me, the 120hz mode drained the battery too fast. Made me feel worried all the time when I was using it outside the house. So I switched it off. And this made me feel that I wasted my money on buying a great feature that I feel reluctant to use. Not worth it

At least S20fe doesn't have this problem, based on various reviews on internet, and reviews by some owners in this thread.

Rule no.1 for malaysian users when buying samsung phone.

If the specs are almost the same, price are almost the same, if got exynos and snapdragon to choose, ALWAYS, choose snapdragon!

S20 and s20fe, other than different chipset, one more thing that you need to consider is the screen resolution. S20 is using qhd while s20fe is fhd. So if you really care about the screen, then S20. If not, S20fe. Period.

Then S20fe it is. It's a no brainer choice.

As long as you can accept 2nd hand condition and no local warranty, then it is worthy. Yes. You will find out very difficult to get a new snapdragon S20 phone nowadays.

I think most of them are selling 2nd hand. So far I couldn't find any of them selling new set. Even if you are able to find one, the price is sure higher than the others.

As for the battery changing, I dunno. But it makes sense. Changing battery means voiding warranty. Of course they don't want to be responsible for that since it's not a local warranty phone.

I see. Then it proves my expectation. I already heard so many news regarding this s20Fe 5G since months ago. All claiming that the touch screen got issues. No matter how many time they updated, the issue still exist. So confirmed it's a hardware failure. But at the same time, there's so little or no people been reporting this in this thread. I thought our SME set is fine, and i was gonna buy it. But after thinking twice, my gut is telling that this is a gamble. There's 50-50% chances that I may get a problem unit. So I gave up the idea.

Sorry to hear about that bro. May be yon can try to claim warranty and see what Samsung will do about it.

Some owners claimed it does, but some don't. In fact, Samsung already sent out 3 updates to fix this. But none of them could actually solve the problem 100%. Obviously it's a hardware failure, but Samsung don't want to admit it.

I am sure not all s20fe users joined this forum.

Anyway, I think we can stop arguing on this topic anymore. It's safe to say that S20fe 5G is a failure. It's not an accusation. It's a fact. There's higher chance (compared to other phones) where you may get a defect unit. If yours is ok, then consider yourself lucky. As simple as that.

Conclusion, if anyone want to buy S20fe 5G, you must keep in mind that the risk is there. You can bear the risk, then go ahead. If cannot, then move on and search for other phones.

Different chipset. In Malaysia, S20FE 5G is using Snapdragon while Note 20 is using Exynos. Snapdragon is better than Exynos. People who are tech savvy will always choose Snapdragon if choices are given. Samsung tends to charge higher price on Snapdragon flagship device. This is also one of the main reasons why S20FE5G is almost the same price with Note 20 in here.

Another example. When S10 lite (SD855) and Note 10 lite (Exynos9810) came out last year, S10 lite is more expensive than Note 10 lite, eventhough Note 10 lite comes with an S-pen. So you get the idea.
