Early this year when S10 lite (SD855) was released, it's underwhelming and seldom got people asked about it. Even I "hard promoted' it in other thread, no one care about it. Now the successor S20fe release, suddenly everyone have interest and keep asking about it. I wonder why? Lol.

Based on my experience on my S10lite (compared to my ex S10+), I can say that no matter how good those lite/fe phone perform in term of camera, no way they are better or on par with the proper S-series. Even if both of them are using the same camera module, the optimization sure are different between them. No way Samsung would use the lite version to tarnish the premium S and Note series. So no matter how good is the S20fe look on spec sheet, it sure got some aspects here and there that lose out to the S20 series. One must use both phones before one can notice what are the differences.

However, there's one thing we can confirm. S20fe battery life confirmed better than the S20 series (exynos), including the S20 ultra.This is guarantee one.

True. Even the S10 lite is better than S20fe in term of design. When you thought that Samsung finally make something right, they sure would cut out some corners here and there.

Very easy. Next year S21, if comes with SD, instant buy. If exynos, wait for review and see if the performance is better or on par with SD. If all things go south, then S20fe it is. If can wait, then go for S21fe. Case closed. Lol.

IMO, this is the so called "corner cut" I mentioned in previous post. No matter how similar they are, there sure got some minor differences between the S20Fe and the real flagships. In this case, I assume that Samsung does not provide a good software optimization for the s20fe. Just like the S10 lite is having slow camera image capture compared to S10. Now need to wait and see if they aware of this and whether they are willing to optimise it or not.

That's weird. Mine is exactly opposite to yours. The manager will only pop up if I restart the phone with simcard inserted.

I don't think it's a problem. I think it's the way how it works. The same thing doesn't happen to my s10lite, which esim feature is not available. So I think the manager pops up due to the esim feature. Can't do anything about it since there's no way to turn it off.

Just molested S20fe in Samsung store. First impression, so small. I already used to 6.7 inch screen. So the S20fe screen looks quite small to me. Not to mention the huge bezels. The design doesn't look like a premium phone to me. Other than that, everything is good. It's perfect for the people who prefer compact phone.

After checking out the phone, the more I confirm that the 3399 price tag is too high. Samsung should have make it under 3000.

The delivery is supposed to be running even it's MCO. The problem is they can use this as an excuse to delay the delivery. And you can't do anything about it.

Of course S10+ is shaper. Don't forget S10+ panel is a 2k panel. Even you switch to fhd mode, its display is still better than S20fe because S10+ has more pixel density due to its 2k panel.

Yes. Read a lot of user comments from US and also Taiwan. Some of them did encounter the same touch screen issue. Even after the latest update, which suppose to fix the problem, the issue still exist. The touchscreen is mostly happened during the multi task switching. Some said it also happened when gaming.

Anyway, most users assume that it's an hardware issue due to cost down component. I suggest you guys who want to buy the S20fe, wait for next few batches (months). Wait for Samsung to fix their problems from the factory itself.

Of course got difference la. The battery life. Can save at least 1-2 hours battery life if you turn off the 120hz.

It's fhd+. It's not a rumor. It's confirmed. Basically, if you want qhd+, S21 ultra is the only option. Samsung is using the same strategy like note 20 series. Want the best? Go for the top.

Indeed. There's not much upgrade for S20 and S20 plus, except the better processor , battery and software. Even the camare spec are exactly the same. Every year I would upgrade my Samsung flagship, either S or Note. This year I don't like the way Samsung did on the note 20 (and I don't want to spend extra on the note 20 ultra). So I upgraded to S20+ instead. Next year I am not sure if I will upgrade to S21 series. S21 and S21+ don't have much upgrade compared to S20. And I don't want to buy S21 ultra since I dislike heavy phone. Sigh.... Why Samsung cannot get the idea..... Not everyone want to be ”ultra" user.

I think they did say they will remove the earphone as well.

Celaka! Based on the US price, it should be cheaper compared to last year. How come SME mark up the local price in here kaw kaw!? Really disappointed!

Damn! Oh well. As usual, not gonna pre-order. Will wait and see if the trade in value is good enough this year (wanna trade in my S20+). And of course, to see if the exynos 2100 is that good as they claimed.
