Bloody hell 2 front desk staffs halau me don't let me apply/open account by saying I already have other bank account.
Hence no need to open, ask me try other bank

Cannot open many many, I say I only have 1,
I was begging like dog.


They don't layan, I pull my phone ready to record,
I ask them from where got such thing

I ask them to show, where got written I cannot have maybank account.

Then he gimme form and isi.. Then say come back again.
Need employer letter. I already put employer detail in form
Ask for visa etc as I was saying this is urgent because I leaving to overseas

I ask Bank staff to write down additional requirements in A4 paper and sign, they very scared already, but write and chop also.

I marah edi, the stupid staff go for manager, manager talk shit to me say now many people, need appointments for opening account.

Wasting time repeating same shit, cannot explain why need employer letter, liddat jobless ppl cannot have maybank account.? Wasted 1 hour for talking useless shit.

I ask for email to email them soft copy of employer letter because I don't want to Q already,

Nowdays as part of KYC you need to present evidence to support your reason for account opening. If used to take salary then employment letter may be needed. For some give name card can dy.

Mainly to be sure youre not opening a mule account for LamTin

Maybank - My first bank account after SPM, I worked at Kilang as Operator pengeluaran

CIMB - Work part time also

RHB - My full time job

Ambank - My full time job also.

But in the end, I just use Maybank, Ambank and RHB only.
CIMB is really sucks and their online banking is problematic. So I just abandon that account

Bro. Last few years, my sister try open account with cimb and maybank and due to she waiting for her housemanship, he does not have employer, thus being denied to open new account.

Only after she got job offer letter, she able to open account.

I got positive experience with cimb clicks lately, but Maybank 2 u suddenly become culprit lately. 2 times already cannot sign in due to said I type password so many times. Where got la maybank. Need to go branch setup new password. Damn hassle.

Depends also on how much you want to deposit when opening an account. If want to free based on employment letter or just place RM100, they no eyes to see you one. Maybank femes for its staff playing ding dong because they have many customers no time to entertain you unless VIP.

Here in UK unless I give my staff Company Letter and also the bank we use (HSBC), the bank won't allow them to open bank account sukahati. (Which is why changing bank you're using is a big thing here. They even pay you a little for changing from one to another)

That also depends on what kind of company you working for. MNC large ones they will be more keen, small SME even if payroll under that bank also will consider twice or will make you go through long process.

Unless your company is big client with them with lots of money, they also no eyes see you.

If like dat I also will bark like hell. Savings account supposed to be easy process. Current account is the one need referral. And bizz account need stamp/ROC detail.

From what I know, it has been the same for many years now. All my accounts (MBB,CIMB,HLB) requires some sort of referral, in my case, employment referral.

My business account (MBB) requires recommendation letter from another business.

With the rise of scam cases and especially involving MBB, they are taking this measure to ensure you're opening an account with legit reasons. Words don't mean shit. Documentation or gtfo.

Oh and scams. Lots of scammers love using BSN lol. After several scam cases reported on fb, they're still going around scamming with the same account number. This tells how much they actually care about suspending a fraudulent account.
