This promotion video is almost the same with their promotion video during February, only 15 seconds shorter, but contents are the same.
Possible they reuse the video, so better check with Sony Malaysia.

Haha, it human nature. And why Sony want to make thing complicated... their mobile business already post its first yearly profit in four years. By disabling that 5G on XQ-AT52 model can save them more...?

Nov seems quite a long wait.
Most ppl would hop into other brand already.
They are not Apple with strong fanbase 🤣

Well there is not many flagship around also between now and nov.

Note 20ultra (now, exynos version)
Asus ROG Phone 3 (launch this saturday, but more for gamers)
Xiaomi mi 10 ultra (if xiaomi release it globally)
iPhone 12 series (could be oct or nov)
Huawei mate 40 (rumors, maybe release in oct, but no GMS)

Anything else i miss out? For me, eventhough it's late, there is not much competitors in this segment now.. so if you buy xperia 1 ii in nov, is still okay.

Btw i just sold off my Xperia 1 ii ap set at RM3480. Miss it already haha.

But it's time to let it go because i have OnePlus Nord and Pixel 4A to play with. Midrange time

It was launched at May, in between we have s20, p40 and few more flagships using sd865.

Those new launching would be having 865+ i believe.

All those only iPhone 12 in my interested list.

I may either get iPhone 12 or Sony Xperia 1 II.

i also interested in this phone.. as i may give off my Xperia 1 to my family members.. But i also keen for iPhone 12.. But also made me worries if US Trump going to ban some of china apps such as wechat.. LOL..

With Xperia 1 currently, i am satisfy with it but seem like more manual control in all 3 lens which will give a lot of advantage of using it.. Not sure what is the free gifts from sony this time.. im sure combined with erphone/headset.. but i am keen to receive their official casing/extended warranty.. cause 5k for a phone, 2 years warranty is a must for me..

my phone requirement:

Flagship specs is a must (CPU)
Must be a reasonable phone size (dont too big until hardly to hold it.)
storage 128+ (video and photos a lot) - i am lazy to clear it.
camera (must include standard and wide angle) i use wide angle a lot btw
display - if possible dont want notch/punch hole.. which i have notch experience which really dont feel good on it..

my heart: i like iOS about their system updates.. previously used iPhone before but then switch to android due to no dual sim.. but now they are supported it.. so i think i could go back without issue.. secondly still love sony design.. basically i only used Sony Xperia and Iphone once, huawei once.. iOS experience really good except to transfer photos and videos.. most of my friends are android users..

very hard to choose but going to wait for their announcement.. see any surprise from iPhone 12 this time + sony xperia 1 II price in Msia..

well not gonna look to the past. but rather seeing what's the option we will have in november.

galaxy S20 series for me is a failure. poor camera, poor battery life and so on. Huawei P40 is a great phone though, only if u dont mind no GMS.

I'm selling it because i wanna give chance to note 20 ultra to be my main phone now. plus i just received a pixel 4a to play around. and of course due to original coming, i dont mind selling it now. if suddenly i feel wanna use it again, i will buy back once original set comes out in november.

Yea, this year Samsung flagship is quite disappointing.
Mid range seems better buy.
I might give a try if Sony offer good preorder package.

I suspect Sony mobile will completely pull out from malaysia by next year. Just visited two authorised Sony store yesterday & today where there suppose to be one display desk with Xperia phone, but now not a single Xperia phone can be seen at the smaller Sony store. Where else the biggest Sony store at the curve only have a very small booth just for the Xperia phone.

Hopefully they will make up their mind, they are neither here nor there right now

Done watching Xperia 5ii launch. They said shipping starts this month.
