Yes u need a hub for Home app. Any of these, Homepod Mini, Apple TV 4K, or iPad

Just so you know that new Homekit architecture will abandon iPad as Home hub. I am on the new version of Homekit architecture which it was pulled out by Apple a day after it was released. Fortunately I dont have any quirks with this new homekit and all my accessories and automation are still working fine even if they are on homebridge

Seeking assistance from sifu here. Anyone has experience using mmwave presence sensor? I’m thinking of going for Aqara FP1.

Not sure how to approach this. My Aqara hubs (M1S, G2H Pro, G2) are all global versions. FP1 on the other hand is only available for China server.

Question: Can they co-exist (Global & China) or I need to setup 1 of my hubs to China server?

I would suggest to wait for Aqara FP2 as it will cater for global market. You cannot have one same hub to serve global and China server. You can change server in your Aqara app to view which devices are on china or global servers, but the hub itself can only connect to its designated server (china or global).

Purchased Aqara smart doorbell, m1 hub, T1 lights, door sensor and the cube. Loving it.. will slowly change the lights in the house. One day will change the lock.

Yup. Sorry for the late reply.
Just go to the automation tab, set up a new automation, and choose when a sensor detects something...
Then I choose the trigger to be "when the door sensor closes", and when selecting accessories and scenes scroll to the end and convert the automation to a shortcut.
Then what happens is after the door closes,
it will turn off the light. then it will check if the tv lights are on, if they are on, it will change the backlight to the original color

Hope it helps you and just ask me if you any more queries
