Story1:
More than 20years ago when I was working in Seremban, I used to scale Gunung Angsi most Saturdays and Sundays for a couple of years. I normally used the Ulu Bendul trail. Initially I go with a group, but later on it was mostly solo.
I felt I know the route very well and start doing early morning hike up to see sunrise at the peak. Nothing unusual ever happened. Then one day I wanted to do a sunset hike..going up at 4pm, stay at peak to watch sunset and then go down. On the way down, I lost my way. I'm not very sure how it happened..but I was unable to figure out where I was. The jungle looks very different from what I was familiar with. I decided to just follow the stream.
Some 1hr later, I thought I saw another trekker with his torchlight on the other side of the stream. I shone/waved my torchlight towards him but he doesn't respond. Without thinking much I crossed the stream to get to him, but as soon as I wet my feet, he has disappeared. When I get to the other side of the stream, I can see the familiar trail nearby and managed to safely descend.

Story2:
Many years ago, after recently graduated from secondary school, I was part of a scout camping organizer comprised of fellow alumnis. We scouted an area for campsite, and also place for washing up. Boys and girls have different areas to wash up. Being the cheeky boys that we were, the girls area is placed at very strategic place where there are huge boulders for us to hide and peek from. Nothing much to see, just girls in towels. But it was a big deal back then.
To avoid alerting the teachers, we were supposed to take turns peeking, 2 persons per days according to our assigned role for that day. We rotate our role daily. This is a 5day camp, and there were 7 of us.
On my day, I reach the boulders first. It was probably around 5pm. While I was doing my thing..I saw my friend coming and he went to another part of the boulders, presumably to do his thing too. But he was quick...by the time I'm done, he's no longer there. I did not see him leave though. When I got back to HQ, I found out that there's an all hands meeting in progress with the teachers since before 5pm. Apparently I'm the only one late/absent.
Nothing else unusual happened during the entire 5day camp.

Story 3:
This happened in 2009. I was working for an MNC at the time and I spend 2weeks every month in a hotel room either in Malaysia or Singapore. At that point of time, I have been doing that for around 3 years. Except for an incident in Singapore where my room was messed up with my clothes thrown all over the room, I had no other paranormal encounters in hotels.
I checked into this hotel in Melaka, situated beside a shopping mall. I liked staying in this hotel as it is conveniently located. I had stayed there many many times, but normally my room balcony is facing the supermarket or the hotel open air carpark in front of lobby. But this time, the balcony is facing the old shops..towards where the famous sate celup is.
On the first night itself, I kept feeling like I saw a shadow in my room from the corner of my eyes. But I dismiss it every time, telling my self I'm probably tired from long work hours. I have a habit of watching TV3 nightline before I go brush my teeth and sleep. On the 2nd night, while I was sitting at the end of my bed, staring at the TV screen just 1 meter in front of me, the shadow passed between me and the TV from the left to the right towards where the balcony is, and went out from there. I can't recall which floor I was at, but it's the 3rd or 4th highest floor! Thankfully she's not looking at me when she passed.
I couldn't dismiss this anymore. I wanted to immediately leave the room, but my feet just couldn't move. I sat there don't know for how long, maybe just minutes. But it felt very very long. The news is still playing on the TV when I can finally get up so it is definitely not very long. I didn't take anything, not even my wallet or keycard or phone. I took the lift and went straight to the lobby, sit on one of the chair and then started shaking, and vomited on the carpet.
The receptionist called the manager on duty to talk to me. They sent their staff to go up to my room, pack up my things. I was offered another room, one that I have stayed in before but I declined. The hotel assigned a staff to sit with me all night till morning and waived all charges of my stay. In the morning, I called up my boss asking for emergency leave and drove back to KL. I had high fever for the next few days.
Since that incident, I have never gone back to this hotel on my subsequent travels to Melaka.

QUOTE(onlyfans69 @ Apr 18 2020, 02:55 AM) If you are talking about the hotel which are just opposite the beach (now reclaimed land) yes its known to be quite haunted, if it's the new hotel Hatten i never heard such occurence before This was in 2009. Hatten-Dataran Palawan was still in construction, I think. QUOTE(ladytarot99 @ Apr 18 2020, 06:38 AM) Oh wow.. u remember the room number? I don't. Too many years have passed. I don't even remember which floor except that it's near the top.

QUOTE(calodin @ Apr 21 2020, 05:29 PM) Not just the animals, really ancient trees, especially those that has grown on very negative lands, because these trees can become "æ ‘å¦–" or "Tree Demon" (just a note, we use demon here due to the fact that there is no real way to differentiate "妖" and "é”" in the English language, a real "Demon" will make the "Tree Demon" look like a total noob) Tree Demon gain power by ingesting spirits, be it human, animal, orang bunian, you name it. So normally all other spirits in the jungle will stay far far away from a Tree Demon. If you go into a jungle, suddenly go to a place where even the insects and birds don't make a noise and you see a very big old tree...my advice..GTFO of there pronto. I had encountered this silent jungle incident a few times. It's very weird how completely silent it can be. We thought that a predator eg tiger or other big cat is probably nearby. Instead of leaving quickly, we stayed still or move very slowly but alert. Didn't know then got such thing as tree demon. Didn't pay much attention whether got really old tree there...

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Apr 18 2020, 01:05 PM) Being a regular climber/trekker at that area, Im sure you know that trail very well. Being a regular hiker myself, Im sure you know the "unwritten rules" of jungles and forests. But still experienced hikers could get lost on the same trails we go through almost every weekend like you did. One thing I have learned over these years is that to have upmost respect to the Jungle and its "inhabitants". Many who have the "third eye" ability can tell you the forest are filled with these "inhabitants" and it is best to avoid going in near dusk and at night. I have personally participated in search missions in some forest near me for lost trekkers at night and I can tell you its a totally different ball game when the forest is as dark until "you can't even see your own hands without the torch". My advice to all trekkers, hikera, hashers, runners, do not go in the forest/jungle during dusk and night, no matter how familiar you are with the trails. You dont want want visitors into your home at night, so does the jungle. Young, fit and foolish. And I didn't believe in anything supernatural back then. Lol. I have spent many nights camping/trekking in jungle. Was somewhat addicted to it. A jungle illuminated by bright moonlight is like a magical sight. Even the leaves sparkle. On a moonless night, I gaze at starry skies..there are so so many stars. Mesmerizing. There's one time we saw a big ball of yellowish/reddish fireball. It split into two and merge back. But when we approach nearer, it turns out to be a very big group of giant millipedes having an orgy. Tens or maybe hundreds of them. I want to ask a question. I'm a person who hardly dream. But there are occasions where I dream of me watching at myself sleeping. Like standing guard? Any special meaning? It didn't happened when I was sick...but when I was at unfamiliar place. Few times during camping, few times in hotels.
