So this happened in 2015 during the hungry ghost festival, so me and my group of friends (8 people) decided to skip school and went hiking, so as we were hiking up, we decided to try a different route from usual.  As we were young and it was the hungry ghost festival, my friends dared me to shout during hiking, so i did. Then me and some of my friends shouted (cuss words) while hiking up lol, then while on the way up we decided to take a lot of selfies. Then after hiking down, we were going back to our own homes by our own bikes, so strange things began to happen. firstly, 1 of my friend straight got into an accident while going back, then i got into an accident a few days later and till this day i have the scar from the accident (the exhaust pipe burned my leg). Then we decided to look at the photos we took on the mountain and noticed that on 1 of the photos we taken, there was a white like thing like a head and like red ish mouth on the bushes behind us. We just deleted the photos and ignored it then a few days, around 4 of my friends started to get really sick, and they were really sick (fever+cough) and only recover after a few weeks. and those who did not shout had nothing happened to them. Till this day, me and couple of my friends  have never went hiking since that incident. We never really talked about the incident since, maybe it was a coincidence and maybe not? nobody knows

tldr ; don't shout during hiking

I remembered when I was young, one tuition teacher taught us how to get out if trapped in a jungle (implying something is keeping you lost in the jungle). It sounded a bit ridiculous but sometimes it's best to keep an open mind.

So he told us, in such a situation, get a virgin to pee on a piece of clothing. I have no idea why must be a virgin and yes you read that right, urinate, then swing it like a a helicopter rotor blade, shout and just charge out. Supposedly you will break free from whatever is keeping your trapped in the jungle.

I know it sounds ridiculous and have never heard of anyone else mentioning this, but he was quite serious about it. I remembered he also shared with us on another occasion how some male maintain their high voice after puberty. Lol.

Most of my experiences always involved a house, building or development project. This is a rather long one.

Persons exempted from BM? This one I think ladytarrot99 would be a better person to answer but as far as I know no one is 100% immune to it but some people do tend to have better resistance against it while some have near zero resistance to it. Not sure why but Malays and East Malaysian that are muslims tend to have poorer resistance to it.

I've generally avoided mentioning my own experience being at the receiving end of it.

After our 2nd incident, we did reconcile and then remarried again.

To be honest, after that 2 incidents where I realized I wasn't immune to BMs especially if I myself was careless I have become much more careful.... mostly implemented a no visitor to our home policy and have mostly stopped having overnite guest at our home.
