basically VID anything below 1.2v can give u some good clock speed.
btw if u want really high clock speed, may be u need to ditch ur zalman cooler hehe.... it not quite sufficient

haha good quote there nasib...............well most q6600 behave like that, so 3.2ghz is sweet spot for low voltage, mild clock

get artic cooling latest extremely heat sink, claim to cool up to 160W, should be sufficient for a quad core.
OCZ, dun need to worry too much about the vcore, anything below 1.45 should be quite safe btw not many q6700 can reach 3.6 too. |

Hyde`fK, try to flash ur biso to maximus or rampage, it seems this give quite some boost for most p5E user. pencil mod later on lar,
well p5E is prone to serious vdroop in high setting. but urs seems quite high, i remember my previous setting with q6600, i set 1.5 in bios still get 1.48x in idle and loading around 1.47x. |

BurgerRI not every q6600 can do 3.6ghz at that voltage

i believe OCCT for 1 hours should be able to keep u stable for most games on the market already, no need to waste so much time lol...

check ur temp bro, 1.3 vid should get 3.6ghz around 1.42v only...... but that is voltage read by monitoring software. Keep in mind that different mobo have different capability
i think 2.3vdim is too much, if u running at DDR800, usuall 1.9v or less will do already |

lazy to lap my proc, a lot of work lol...........
i'm satisfy with my setup now hehe....... even temp at high load is not my liking, but gaming seldom demand up to max...... haha 60 plus degree at 3.4ghz is normal and quite good infact |

q6600 is difficult to get 4ghz stable, need some luck and tough tweaking and some very serious cooling on it

q6600 league still quite active lol...........
not a lot of later batches of q6600 can reach 3.6 @ 1.4xv... but frankly, 3.2, 3.4 and 3.6 ghz dun make very much difference haha....... |

the reading from bios may not be accurate as well, so it's safer to keep the voltage down instead of 2.2v if u are not stressing it

no just plain coolit, but i dun cooked it 100% 24/7,
the setting i couldnt remember in details already, but i can tell u these i remember Crazy setting dram DDR800 @ 4,4,4,4,12, voltage 2.0v the rest auto GTL reference 0.67x another one is 0.63x NB 1.42 V core 1.42v V termination voltage at 1.2 or something the rest i left it auto if not mistaken NB cooling is important for x38/48 series mobo, as the NB need quite some voltage compare to P45 or later series |

OC4/3, not every mobo and do that mod lar...........
but good mobo does not always gives lower vdrop/vdroop.... btw do not trust the bios reading too much as well if it look fishy |
