Need advise for a way from Osaka to Tokyo for 2 pax

1) Night coach from Osaka to Tokyo <- Cheapest but least comfy
2) Night train (Sunrise Seto) <- seems very difficult to book
3) Spend one more night in Osaka/Tokyo (RM300+ for accommodation), use shinkansen the next day

If going for option 2 or 3, recommended to get the JR pass, right?

We'll be planning for 1 week in Osaka and another week in Tokyo in Sept

I'm planning to travel to japan (north-eastern honshu) in February for skiing and basically to see snow.

these are the places that i know in the north eastern honshu side

Zao onsen (skiing, to see snow monster)
Aomori (to see snow monster)
Ginzan onsen (to take pictures)
Yuzawa (skiing)

any other places (north-eastern honshu) that I should visit for skiing and to see snow?

I've already been to Hakuba in the Japanese alps area during winter.

question about ATM cash withdrawal in Japan

due to shitty cut-throat money changers at my place here, seems like the best option for me to get best exchange rate would be ATM withdrawal when I arrived in KIX

seems most local MY bank atm card supports VISA plus only, ATMs supporting it shouldn't be difficult to find right?

Also the fees, on paper my bank should just charge me RM10 for overseas ATM withdrawal fees, other transaction fees will be depending on the ATMs there, any idea what's the usual rate?

Lastly, I willl have a hand-me-down suica/pasmo/icoca card from my friend, any way to reload them other than using cash?  like in a konbini that accepts CC and can top-up your suica there over the counter using CC?

but since you mentioned there is a risk of train delay due to thick snow in Hokkaido in february, are the possibilities the same in north eastern Honshu (Aomori, Yamagata, Sendai area and the connecting trains down to Tokyo)?

I guess every 2 hours is still fine for me. Travelling with small kid with lots of things to carry, bus will be my 1st option.

I know it's no longer compulsory to wear mask in public, but all the recent YT I saw almost everyone are still wearing mask everywhere

Hi sifus, not sure if it is a right thread to ask but i am just trying my luck here. I booked my AirAsia flight ticket KUL-KIX in November and it is stated that "Flight is subject to obtaining government approval".
