Rogues are a definite closure. (again, no rogues. there wasnt any season of proven success in 5v5 or even any brackets minus maybe RRD in 3v3 by having multiple rogues. of course there are probably some exceptions however i wont be bothered to argue about it so save it. no rogues.)

only need ONE druid or paladin pvp healer, and recruitment will be closed, hurry apply before its too late.

pvp progress:

currently our lowest resilience member is sitting at around 171 resilience, where by our highest resilience member is at 408 resilience. I myself is sitting at 350 resilience atm.

avg of our member resilience is at 300ish which is above past arena scrub level (sub 300).

we are focusing on 5v5 mainly but we do 3v3 or on a rare occassion 2v2 for practice, premium arena gains (our lower brackets are meant for core arena members mainly) or experimental phases.

Our 5v5 team mainly runs on a 3dps 2 healer matrix with a 350+ resilience holy priest and 250+ resilience restore shaman as our healing backbone in which the priest will be hitting around close to 500 resilience in the coming 2+weeks , the shaman will also be hitting around 300+ resil within the next week with his new arena gears. (2ish week ago he started with only 100+ resil with a LOT of cloth/green gears, now he is 250+ resil with most of them replaced with proper mail healing/non green gears)

Current 5v5 arena ratings are still low as we only had one healer setup previously, but since the priest joined we pushed from 1550~1600 avg ratings/week to around 1600-1700 avg ratings/week, and we will definitely see further improvements in the coming weeks.

For our 3v3, we are constantly sitting at post 1700 ratings despite the fact that we run 3v3 with NO healer (rogue/mage/hunter matrix) which relied heavily on quick games and in the event a game drags on, its a guaranteed lost for us. With the addition of the priest, our ratings are able to push past the 1700 wall and able to sit around 1750 rating constantly and in the coming weeks we will be seeing a push past the 1800 wall.

So if you like to heal, have a passion to PVP and dont like pve/raiding, DONT HESITATE ANYMORE, take this last spot we have to offer and together build up a solid and successful 5v5 arena team, with the goal of possibly ending up with a good season title, or even ending up with the gladiator armored netherdrakes.

monday bump, team's avg arena point gains is around 650 for everyone.

so dont hesitate to fill in that last spot smile.gif

also we MAY take in warriors/warlocks to fill in the class matrix, but for dps classers, you will have to have 250-300++ resilience at least.

unless ur a healer, then we can accept people with 100ish+ resil and work ur way up from there.

haha much thanks for bump

actually the help i need most is the race against mulverik, getting frustrated already lol... especially when i was ALMOST at the finishing line... BAM KNOCK OFF /QQ

had a very poorplay with having coex decursed and ur BOF dispelled.
moreover priest got killed by a brain damaged retarded fury warrior. (thats what he calls the warrior anyways, and was pretty mad for dying)

we really deserved that 24 rating loss sad.gif

and we were at 1830+ rating, loss a match before and the one with you and it all went down hill, to a total of 100 rating loss ending up at 1730... bad night for our 3man cry.gif

but thankfully our 5mans are sitting comfortably at 1803 rating and we can still enjoy the phat points. which is quite a relief at least ><

5v5 may be put to a halt this week due to 2 core members going on vacation. (an american and australian, omg they merdeka too? shocking.gif )

unless of course we get to recruit 1-2 more post 300+ resilience pvp'ers, and provided we can maintain the same rating or better, ur gonna be getting 765+ arena points for the week (1803 rating this tuesday maintainence, 765 AP)

Haha yeah good game, you really live up to your name as one of the best ex-HWL players on the server.

Our warrior was dual wielding MS lol, he also said he likes his spec alot.

Well our 3v3 rating dropped down to 1613 that night cuz in our last 4 games or so, our warrior got pwned by a shadowpriest/aff warlock combo and when we're 1 man down, it's pretty much GG for us. Bastards took out our warrior first then our pally, me being the last. >_>

But yeah, damned good game.

EDIT: Yes, mulverick is a b****. I had to pull every trick out from the book to beat him. If you somehow beat mulverick, good luck on Skyshatter. That guy is an absolute pain and you won't be able to win unless you put on every known +mountspeed enchant tongue.gif I got lazy and didn't race skyshatter after losing to him 3 times.

hehe thanks for the compliments.
and that probably explains a bit on our priest's death, at least MS is up lol.

ran a profile check on ur team too... we basically made a big and quite common mistake. should we go for ur warrior instead of you that other day, we'd probably won. ur spell dmg is damn low for an epic'ed out character, and its pretty much safe to leave you alone even if ur spamming fears till we all go into DR. warrior on the other hand is dps decked and sporting piss poor resilience compared to ur 430 resil. not to mention if im on warrior, i can almost 100% dps him instead of chasing you around like the other day cutting my dps down by around 50-60%. problem is being a warrior he gets away with it a lot, even on our team. if anyone ever armoried your team or able to gear check better than i do (with just a glance through character appearence), then this mistake can be avoided and it'll be fatal to your team. probably time to ditch the deadweight wink.gif wink.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

anyways, today our 3v3 risen back to 1822, but nonetheless its a VERY damn steep uphill climb... and a frustrating one too. we played bout 20ish wins, and ONLY 4 losses if im not mistaken. but the problem is, every win only yields bout 5-10 rating... one lose takes a huge bite outta our asses for 20-25 rating. have to get 2-3 wins to cover up every loss we take (and being in 3v3 where class matrix plays an important role, we will be taking losses here and there). but still we ended the night good, with a comfortably 1822 and that will have to stand firm or perhaps better as our 5v5 team may not be playing due to vacations from 2 of our cores.

for the netherwing race, based off wowwiki, 1st race to mulverik is considered easy and skyshatter is like... OMG GUIDES ON HOW TO RACE LOL (noggenfogger gg?) but yeah, still stucked on mulv, havent done further attempts doh.gif
so yea, i can pretty much expect a lot worse should i get on skyshatter lol

lol good to hear that your team is now in the high 1800s. Yeah la, suck part about queuing at the hours that we usually play is that a win is only about 5-10 ratings and a loss is like QQ 18+ lost. Dunno wtf's up.

Oh and ya my spelldmg is piss poor cuz I stacked stamina and resilience gear for my 2v2, only 644 unbuffed spelldmg atm. With demonic knowledge and fel armour out can hit about 915, but still sucks la. Only thing that's making me viable to my 2v2 team is my health and resilience zzz.

queue times for 3v3 is ok, 5v5 on the other hand is horrible :/
1 win yields around 5 or less, RARELY over 5... 1 loss will rape us off 20+ AT LEAST. and it usually takes at least 10ish minutes for a game, sometimes can queue up to 30mins-over an hour. worse when ur doing 5v5's on mondays/tuesdays/wednesdays, fri/sat/sun its still ok...

and yea i saw ur entire gear sets. imho you should strike a balance between offense and defense. because the way you are playing, your best bet to win is to have people whacking you, instead of ur teammates. (the warrior for 3v3, or your healer in 2v2) should they just ignore you, you'll be in for some trouble as you cannot change gear in arenas, next patch this is further emphasized as you cant gear change at all even if ur outta combat once arena starts, so you gotta live with what ur wearing in the moment you step in the arena after preparation.

in arenas, or any pvp for that matter, a good offense is also a good defense. pointless dragging of fights will result in a lot of un-needed troubles. like for that day, if we brought in our hunter instead of the mage, we can either still kill you (even when hunter goes oom his autoshot pew pew can still provide a significant preasure on ur cloth armor) or have him control the warrior much better with scatter spams/ice traps, or harrass your healer with well timed silences/snake traps. not to mention viper stings with 30% dispel resistant coupled with his newly tamed scorpid and my own poisons which are 40% dispel resistant to force you to spend GCD on lifetap and futher stress the healer would really change a lot of things. and unlike our mage strugling with ur gay felpup resistance thanks to SL, he would bypass it all lol.

so all in all, you can either cut down on resil (but do not drop below 400) and health (especially health) or perhaps try out UA spec. (ua > sl if ur focusing on 5v5's, but since ur doing 2v2/3v3 mostly, SL is better) for arenas, once ur post 10k hp, any more hp would not provide significant boost. call it a softcap if you will. from that point on resil is more valued once ur on the 10k unbuffed hp mark. and once ur resil is approaching 450, it also loses out its value, again, you may call this a soft cap. not to mention theres also a hard solid cap on resil which is 494. from that point on, everything else should be poured on ur offense which is dps. (aka ur spell dmg, spell crits, healings (for healers) or mana pool/regens etc etc)

Hmm you made some really good points there.

Aight as soon as I get my season 2 leggings and gloves (which will be in about 5-ish weeks) I'll be putting spelldmg enchants on them instead of stamina ones lol.

Thanks for the advice dude!

indeed i am showing off. easier to attract people tongue.gif

resilience a lil too high than what i intend it to be though, but thats because of the dual +35 resil bonus. well, not that its bad anyways, anyone that focus fire on me will have a fun time doing so.

omg ty... to be honest its all luck that night lol... i didnt even wanna do the quest, but was bored and blurred, and saw an ! mark, just click it and accept... and by the time i realized, it was too late, so might as well play along lol.

tip: screw the meteors, just focus on chasing him and try to predict (as i said, i was damn lucky on this one) his flight path or memorize it as much as you can (depending on how far you've went with him) and keep using shortcuts against him, a straight race against him is a guaranteed loss as ur capped at 290% flight (riding crop) while hes on 310%

=edit=
btw our 3v3 ended at 1950ish and almost 2k soon...

5 games out of the 10 we played only yielded ONE rating and we lost 1 match out of silly mistakes that raped us 22 rating...
but we still gained 40+ rating in the end, still good.

3v3 on a strong 1940+ rating
5v5 had a slight pitfall because we're on a transition on replacing people, but we manage to put it back up to 1800+ and settle for another 760+ points and a decent ranking for the week.

WE'RE STILL LOOKING FOR A PALADIN OMG (priest begging for additional heal support so he can spam mana burn lol)

update: our 3v3 rating is just 28 away from breaking 2k!!!!!

and new patch is reducing the 3v3 penalty... HURRRAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

and we also recruiting a new warlock, and a member is in the process of building up a palading.... YAYYYYY

but still, if you manage to join in before the pally is complete, lvl70, holy paladin, and have the strong desire to be at the top of the pvp world, you still very much wanted!! biggrin.gif

SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

went to 2009 rating, lost 3 games, down to 1900, win back to 199x, lose 4 games, back to 189x, win back again, lose 2 games, back down again...
what the f***.
we won ~60 games, lost only 20. guess what, we only gained 4 ratings for the week. damn depressing, whats even more depressing is that we were on the 2k+ rating, got greedy, want to go for more, and got slapped in the face, HARD.

anyways 5v5 is on 1854 now and approaching 1900. getting almost 900 points per week.

and we have an upcoming warlock, lvl19 atm. (my RL friend, and im having a retardin to lvl with him, currently raping him in duels cuz he havent got skillcoil lolz)
just recruited a lvl63 holy paladin that claims he will be 70 in 2 weeks time, and another lvl5x pally also on the way to 70.
our new shadow priest is also almost 200 resilience, and our shaman will be 340ish resilience with around 1.3k +healing this tuesday with new merciless pants.
druid is a lil lazy, but we can always rotate him with sham, but regardless he still plays damn well smile.gif

if everything goes smooth, we'll be in the 2k++ ratings, prolly ending up gladiator title before s3, and s3 will definitely be a good season since we got an equal footage on the starting line. we only started this serious pvp business mid season, and everyone of us exluding me, hunter and the priest started out with almost no resil. so for us to get this far, imho we're doing damn well already. so if any of you guys wanna hop in the bandwagon, feel free to drop me a pm, reply on this thread, or pm/mail me in game on WoW (Stormscale US PVP Horde side)

over 2k ratings on 3v3 and 5v5.
and not stopping there, going as far as the team can go.

also, we are now recruiting a Warlock! our previous warlock was a failure and singlehandedly raped almost 100 ratings from our team. got the gear(over 300+ resilience) but aint go the skillz to ball with us. So if you think you are up for it, got the gear and skills to back you up, dont hesitate to join us for a moderately successful arena team. (1057 arena points/week for 5v5, 934 arena points/week for 3v3)

EDIT: How do you manage to play daggers with Malaysian ping latency? daggers require you to go behind tgt as often as you can and to be as fast as you can HOWEVER the latency will be the limitation. Unless you do not play in malaysia.

ive been playing daggers for over 2 years (the ONLY exclusion is the short period speccing mace/swords/claws/hemo etc etc during high warlord, and lvl60-70 grind when TBC started.), any latency related issues are already imprinted into my brain to overcome them.
the only way i can see a rogue operating is behind people, shanking them with sharp and fast knives/daggers.
and ive always been fond with assassin/rogue related class, and ive been playing with said classes in basically all my previous mmorpgs.

and i play in malaysia, live in KL, working in kl sentral.

it sucks. gold is never a problem for our members. and i certainly do not intend to baby sit people in my arena team.
no point at all to sell ratings.

so long you intend to be a dedicated pvp'er (note: hardcore) and you are willing to work hard on your gears and most importantly listen and learn (we dont care if its your $15 per month, but when we want you to spec to a specific talent because your current talent spec sucks, you spec it or you get out)

oh our 5v5 just had a sad day of rolling noobs x10 for 1 rating per game except for one game that yielded 3 rating... /sigh
will be trying monday again for somemore ratings so our shaman can get ANOTHER s2 gear during tuesday to complete 4/5 merciless set.

ANY CYCLONE BG 5V5 PLAYERS, QUEUE UP PLEASE, AND PLEASE HAVE OVER 1900 RATINGS TOO SO WE GET GOOD MATCHES AND RATINGS.

no change on 2v2/3v3

5v5 we managed to raise it to around 2030 if im not mistaken.

started the day with 1 loss that took 14 rating away from us, and that 14 rating was gained through the previous day's session. in just 1 match everything we did that day was for nothing. i guess thats the punishment for goin in 4dps with a priest, so we call up our shaman to get on for the usual 3 dps 2 healers/2.5 dps 2.5 healer setup.

played around 10+ more games... gained close to 30 ratings from avg of 3-4 rating teams and a bit of of 0-1 ratings teams.

the last game was especially hilarious when our sham stopped moving at the start... after match we found out he had to alt tab but it was too late, mom caught him on WoW and he got critted for over 9000 and dc'ed from WoW and vent shortly after. everyone lol'ed cept the priest that got insta-gibbed following angel pop from 4 dps with shaman standing still full mana alt tabbed to hide from mom, that failed in the end anyways.

still hilarious seeing priest cursing and swearing while hes angel form healing lolz.

i got it all on fraps too, will be a good laugh when i publish my video some time later.

and its tuesday, summary:

everyone's happy cept the shaman cuz we cant meat the 2040 rating 5v5 quota at least so he can get shoulders, he will be like 40-70 arena points short. but then again he deserved it for not fixing mom problem lolz.
2010 2v2
2085 3v3
202x/203x++ 5v5 (wait for armory to update)

mage(blink spamming in less cooldown!),priest(power word shield spamming EZ!),druid(not sure on this lol),hunter(getting TWO ITEMS TO FULL SET MERCILESS), myself(120 energy of mutilate PAIN) gettin gear this tuesday biggrin.gif

tragic week indeed for DI...

3v3 was going good, finally shattering the 2100 barrier, but, since thats only 2 games, we had to play more, and the same very team that we won twice kicked us back after attuned to our strat. granted, mace rogue + lock + hpriest is superior than muti rogue + mage + hpriest as the rogue is able to control either mage or myself, and warlock, being able to spam his cc without control (priest LOS'ing to avoid mburn/mana drain) while our cc (sheep) is constantly dispeled by felpuppy/priest.

got bumped down to 206x

5v5 even worse, since we know before hand our priest cant be playing on this weekend (RL), we tried to squeeze some games on wednesday despite being a 4dps setup with priest at 2030 rating because our shaman got test on friday and got owned by parents by taking away his modem/router.

and since its the usual shitty queue wednesday, we were facing our own stormscale Horde team (Andalusia), scrub team in general, minus 1-2 of their members being decent. they were sitting at 169x rating.

1st match, hunter was afk. good game, thats almost 30 ratings up our ass and spoonfeeding theirs
2nd match, priest got buttsecks while THEIR TWO healers, shaman and paladin, having BOF/BOP AND over 10k armor, negating our main dps (which is physical based -> hunter/rogue/feral druid) by a great deal. needless to say, we got our ass handed. and thats another close to 30 rating loss

in total, 2030 -> 1977 and we stopped there.
total loss of 53 rating from our end, and a big spoonfeeding of 53 rating to their end

lets hope to bring it back to the 2k rating line and maintain it for the week
worse come ot worse we'll have to try to get shaman to play on weekends in place of priest as a 4dps setup again.

=edit=
correction on typo

=edit2=
well, might as well add in some bits of sugar out of the tragedy smile.gif

this week was supposedly a happy and victorious week for all:
2v2 2010 rank 282
3v3 2085 rank 126
5v5 2030 rank 108

and on our gears!
myself (rogue), priest, mage 4/5 merciless on tuesday
and our biggest winner -> Doomhunter (our hunter) is the first DI Member to complete the Season 2 Merciless set 5/5 smile.gif

yes, i transfer from another server since many friends are playing here. sorry for the names coz i always has prolblem typing too fast lol and i m not good itn the name coz i even forget what was my original server name

in armor link, that is my mainly pvp gear coz i m fully holy and try to do healing support mostly. I have played 8v8 in daoc all the years even until now. I pvp at both game but finding myself logging into wow more and more coz the a few daoc good team mtae left the game due to rl issue and losing a good main assist and another healer is disasterous in that game. currently, mostly runnign solo in bg games and try to piss people off with the heals tongue.gif

mostly i can't join your guild since aegis has rl friend there who got me transfer into this server. however, in case you need healer, just give me a tell smile.gif I won't let u down.... both daoc and wow i focus in healing smile.gif it is good to know that there are good lowyater active in pvp world

anyways some updates!

5v5 almost got to 2050, but again, our shaman's parents owned our face by unplugging his connection midfight. and he was our single healer at that moment. yet another surprise buttsecks of 28 rating loss.

we now sit at 2010 5v5 and hoping to push it tonight on monday since priest is back from his go-kart trip lolz.

Wednesday's arena has been a lil unfortunate, having minor loses on the 3v3/5v5 brackets.

2v2 +6 rating netting 2016
3v3 -6 rating netting 2034
5v5 -9 rating netting 2004

5v5 we were sitting at 204x at one point, played a total of 8 games, and all 8 games playing the same team. each game netted a decent ammount of 6-7 ratings. but in the end they were slowly adapting to our strategy and our team and eventually beaten us twice for a total of 24 + 22? ratings per loss. ultimately losing 9 ratings to them despite the 6 wins and only 2 loss.

their team, consisting priest paladin hunter warrior and mage, eventually finding out me being the core dps of the team, resorted to just control me 100% with perma hamstring, ice trap, and mage snares. our targets being constantly blessing of freedom'ed by the paladin also puts us in a bad position as our main dps was myself and feral druid.

still it was a good experience and we will no doubt make a comeback on the following days within this week.

season3 is still ways ahead and it will still be a struggle for the gladiator title, and my team members getting their complete gears in preperation of season3.

15 points for 5v5 arenas for the win!

will continue on tonight as see if we can break 2050 at least for the 5v5 for more glory.

oh and we just rolled eots from evening - midnight... got almost 6k++ honor, zero loss, almost 40ish eots tokens, and at least 10++ games spawn camping alliance spawn point slaughtering them like live stocks. for the horde.

no progress for monday night, so we will be going in this week with the following for this tuesday's rollover:

2v2 2016 322 rank
3v3 2051 190 rank
5v5 2018 129 rank

all brackets ranks dropped as everyone else are playing more and more aggressively as we approach the end of the season while our team is facing some minor setbacks here and there and some RL issues.

anyways! we are still recruiting and we have updated the recruitment page a little.

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Jul 23 2007, 06:12 PM)
Death Infused Guild is currently recruiting 4 more consistant and dedicated PVP built players for our Arenas(mainly) and group BG and some occassional PVP. ALL of our 6 current members in our 10 man 5v5 roster team have over 300 resil. the main core members have at least around 400 resil. stat changes of 415 resil, 11k++ unbuffed hp, ~30% crit and 1.3k+ AP. no longer the highest resil member in the team in exchange of more killing power.

my armory:
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...ale&n=Quazacolt

The team is also hanging around 2k ratings in ALL brackets for almost a month already and still showing huge potential of progressing more.
we aim to only be the best, and complete domination over any opponents.

Positions needed to be filled:
Warrior:   1 (Only heavy arms warrior with at least 25% crit 1.5k unbuffed AP and 300+ resil)
Paladin:   1 (Only PVP holy build, with at least 300+ resil)
Hunter:   Closed
Shaman: 1 (Only PVP resto build, with at least 350+ resil, preferably more. After patch 2.3, we will be looking forward to an elemental shaman, but you need to have 4 piece gladiator set bonus, and at least 350+ resil.)
Rogue:    Closed
Druid:     1 (No feral druids, position filled, and also requires at least 350+ resil, preferably more)
Mage:     Closed
Warlock: 1 (Affliction PVP build, demo/destro are only welcomed if you can show me that your damn good. Position also requires at least 350+ resil, preferably more)
Priest:    1 (pvp based Holy or shadow is fine, no pure disc priests, we dont need pain suppression. Also requires at least 350+ resil, preferably more. post patch 2.3 we may be looking forward to full disc priest, however, just like destro/demo locks, you must prove your worth to us beforehand, same requirements as holy/shadow priests apply)
website: http://www.deathinfusedguild.tk

Please contact me through website forum, or reply to this thread, or pm me on LYN, or drop me an ingame mail/PM at US Stormscale Server Horde side.

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...kspear&n=Swifty this guy?

dont recall fighting him before, maybe i did, maybe i didnt. as a pvp focused player, you just come across a ton of people to kill and unless they make a damn fine impression (eg: owning you badly, humiliating your team, or plays a very unique playstyle etc)

obviously swifty doesnt. aside from his videos showcasing some neat tricks here and there previously.

but honestly, tricks dont get you far in arenas, its where the big boys play, not kiddies with cheap tricks that are all disallowed in arenas. look at his ratings, i lol'ed.

omfg Quaz, good game in the arena earlier. When I saw a familiar name in the arena I fumbled and fuked up hahahhah ><

haha gg, imo major reason we won by quite a huge margin is due to my latency being only ~460-490 that night... cant BOF+COEX kite me lolz...

anyways our 2v2 was ALMOST at 2100 but we lost 3 ish matches and put us back down to around 204x
half way journey to 2100 still

3v3 made some steady progress, 207x now.

5v5 no games played thus far.

hoping to get the games done for the week tonight as im going cameron highlands this sat until monday XD

TBH its not a big buff because COEX would still slow me more than your default speed, and if you add in BOP/BOF, im done.
and if you havent noticed, everytime ur bof'ed, i kidneyshot you, and my priest will promptly fear ur paladin, forcing him to heal you and neglect cleansing, so ur practically perma wounded/crippled. even if he do cleanse, then you will have a risk of getting trinket cb mutilated to death. noticed the last blow? you were stunned during ks, and i blow my trinket + cb mut and did a 120 energy quadruple trinketed mutilate on you? instant 30-40% ish hp gone while ur paladin still stuck in fear.

and thats 2v2, a lot of RPS/luck/spec etc etc involved.
if its 5v5, the rogue assassination buff would be meaningless as theres hamstring/enemy rogue's cripple, ice mage snare, hunter ice trap etc etc.

the main point of the buff is to negate rediculous moments where target and rogue running same speed, both unsnared, and putting the rogue in a really retardedly awkward situation where he cant do crap at all, then add in the fact that the rogue has to move behind the target for mutilate/backstab.

same goes for ret paladin too as they dont have snares (unless you count that judgement 100% movement speed fixed tongue.gif)

Ah yep, good points. I really am gonna think of our fight and see if I can improve further lol. ><

But I predict I'm gonna enjoy playing my muti rogue next patch though, 1 hour poisons and +15% run speed = sexy!

heh im still tied up between continue'ing muti, or going prep daggers or even hemo. new sub buffs are definitely tempting.

anyways, 2v2/5v5 took some minor point reduction, although we managed to reach close to 2060 on 5v5, losing 3 matches of ~20 ratings each put us back down and we had to catch up a bit to recover loss points. sadly we couldnt get more games done as i have to make my way to cameron highlands.

3v3 on the other hand took a major point dive, aproximately 300 ratings point lost. we were over 2100. one of the major factor is us pushing our limits (started from our priest and a bit of my idea, then it all went downhill from there). we didnt dodge teams that had superior class matrix over us, or teams that play better, not to mention we played american time during that period and most of the people are having quicker response than us probably due to better latency.

current standings:
2v2 2023 rating 330 rank
3v3 1880 rating 642 rank, and dropped to leather helm from mail helm
5v5 2014 rating 142 rank

we finally recruited a holy paladin, and a resto druid at the same time, both are reasonably decked out, and hella skill which totally meats my expectations and requirements.

recruitments are now officially CLOSED.

i will probably update this thread once a while to keep it up and maybe our team's status, and since announcement, we'll see if we can get glads for the 6 core members before s2 ends. (the druid/paladin are unable to get it due to their lack of games played, you need 20% games played for the entire season)

=edit=
bah forgot not to merge posts again

to add in, we could still recruit backups, and we in fact still have to spot in our 10 man roster of 5v5. and everyone on the team is guaranteed their 30% so long they can show up as told. (you got about 4-5 [usually tuesday - thursday we dont play much or dont play at all] days during the week worth of chance to show up, if you still cant make it, then you cant possibly get games played now can you)

Tuesday just hit, and its patch day, and its also time for some DI 5v5 updates!

With the addition of Marino (Druid) and Viraxis (Paladin) our team had a significant boost in CC's, and most importantly, defense/healing, which is just as important as offense. As they used to say, a good defense is a good offense, and likewise around. But, that merely open up more challenges for DI 5v5.

As we're continously climbing upwards, we've always bear this goal in our mind - to be the BEST OF THE BEST. With that said, everyone's gotta start somewhere. And since we're playing on an odd timezone on a US based timezone server, lets start conquering the "HOME" timezone first then! So on this one night on Friday, we were doing arenas as usual, although it was boring as hell farming over scrub teams for 0/1/2 ratings, some are even horrible to the extent that they just bend over and stand still for the carnage, hell even our healers were competing on dps meter with holy nova spam, consecration, and hurricanes.

Just when we thought we'll be drowning in the oblivion of boredom farming those horrible teams, fate has granted us our wishes. Rayers, from Aegis guild Team Cha Siu Bao, started making some minor taunting remarks on trade channel, as he does from time to time. Before we continue on, ChaSiuBao, along with HongKongKoonYun were the dominant asia/pacific teams on Stormscale, each representing their respective faction. Back in our scrubby days of 1.6-1.7k ish ratings during mid season2, aegis were already 1.8k-1.9k rating with their members basically full S2 decked, or close to S2 full deck.

There we thought, its finally show time. After long months of preparation against their team, this is the time to apply it to the works. Without hesitation we queued... and with disappointment, its not them. We promptly finish our match, and just queue as normal. Upon entering, our /who indicates that they are in the same arena map as us, and the moment the gate opens, the 5 names that we've been wanting to hunt down are all showing up on screen, and arena master/gladiator UI mods.

The match began in Nagrand arena with both sides being defensive, especially team ChaSiuBao. However without notice our priest dashed out alone to the field everyone of us was rather shocked as this would mean a quick death for our priest. Before we even know it, everyone from ChaSiuBao rushed out to zerg him down, but we capitalized that to our advantage instead, since that opened up their defense for our offense to swipe in, resulted in a massive double edged sword scenario.

It was VERY intense with a lot of near death situations (AT LEAST 4+ times) with one time our priest having as low as 600 is health, i quickly kidneyshotted the hunter regardless that it is just 2 combo point to buy time for the heals to come out and prayed hard from then on, and on the other fronts Sheeps/fears/cyclones were dished out to their warrior and a lil on their warlock to halt dps for even the slightest fraction of a second.

The fight went on about 2 ish minutes straight without a pause, and our raw preasure on their hunter finally kicked in, healers were getting slower, and slower. their healers were also running critically low on mana, shadow fiend were sent out by their priest but were cut down in its effeciency by some random cc's, and the mana tide totem from their shaman was promptly destroyed. And then opportunity struck, CC's shifted to their priest, shaman was completely oom, the burst was called out, death sentencing kidneyshot was landed, shrieking bolts of frost and deadly arrows flew across, and the hunter fell over, dead. and their morale greatly dropped, the shaman, being also damaged by aoes here and there, and never could heal himself due to the never ending preasure poured upon their hunter, was swiftly killed after the hunter as he is only 50% health, and with the hunter dead, a momentum of shock along with our dps overpowered him completely.

with the fight going on with 5 vs 3, the result came clear. The finale was a total of 4+ minutes match, and 13 ratings delivered to the victor - Team Death Infused Five. We tried to get more games from them, as it was very challenging, and DEFINITELY rewarding over the 0/1/2 rating scrubs, but they've backed down and immediately logged off after the match we fought.

Our first half of the push before season 2 was pretty well, we even netted around 2090 rating, however the team that we've farmed 30ish ratings from managed to caught us offguard on the last match, landing devastating cc's on both of our healers and decisively struck me down and scored the win, taking back everything that we've taken from them. We queued again determined to have some revenge, however we no longer see them q'ing, intelligence reported that they've stopped queues and a few of them logged off or went afk. They however started q'ing again when 2-3 of our members logged.

For the final highlights, we are currently sitting firmly on 2062 ratings, ranked 111 on the entire battlegroup, and earning 1131 arena points for the week (not that many of us really need points anyways tongue.gif) - and most importantly, we are now stormscale's undisputed number 1 asia/pacific timezone team, and almost top 100 on the entire battlegroup. Hongkongkoonyun however is catching up closely behind us, and we're looking forward to have a match up against them to settle the score, and we are very confident in winning the final score against them as we've fought against them in the lower brackets such as 2v2/3v3 and won the majority of our matches (although we've had our losses as well).

Patch 2.3 now, and 1 more week till season3, looking forward to a good final push to the gladiator titles! This is Quazacolt, leader of Death Infused PVP teams and guild leader, signing off.

Not much of an update this time, we've got some attendence issues of recently due to our mage gtg'ing aus and priest's PC being faulty.

last week was a decent week, we made minor progression, but still 1 point behind hongkongkoonyun, which taken our #1 stormscale asia/pacific team title away. we were 208x with a 4 DPS setup due to paladin unable to wake up and priest having pc probs, so the druid solo healed, the decent group we faced fed us 13 ratings on the win. but they had a deadweight that they were prolly trying to feed points to (a shadow priest that we dropped in under 10 sec). next match we faced them again and as expected they swap the s.priest with a 400+ resil elem sham with 12k armor and 11k hp. things were obviously sour for us as we only got a solo paladin healer (druid playing his pal's paladin, which is the paladin that couldnt wake up, just to get his 30% games) and in the end we lost 19 ratings, coughed back our ratings that we won and 6 more from our pool.

well, still few days away from s3, chance for the gladiator title is slowly slipping away from our clutches. hopefully we can still get it. even if we cant, theres always season3 and ALL of us are prepared. with me having 100% enchanting mats and jewels etc and honor capped with 2x pvp epic gems preped and arena points capped. basically done 100% full preparations for season3, and a few of our team members have done the same, while the rest slowly reaching there smile.gif

hehe good to know someone's getting something out of the random bumps. tried to make them interesting over the usual boring "bumps" as LYN WoW forums are gettin really dull of late.

and just to be exact, we actually do have 3 americans in our team (one thats been with us since the beginning: doomhunter, and the 2 recently recruited healers that know each other IRL - viraxis/marino) but yea, despite the latency advantage, one of them (doomhunter) is basically a clicker/keyboard turner (yes, believe it, we only discovered this when we're in the 2k++ ratings lol) 30+ year old uncle thats *drumroll* doing to be a father soon (just recieved news that wife got pregnant). well at least hes learning a lot now since our discovery, and thats one of the most important aspect in a player's progression, willingness to learn and improve. hes already using his keybindings, using strafings/mouse strafings etc, and even went as far as purchasing a gaming grade mouse. (since pretty much everyone in the team has em and its not kewl not being a kewl kid, so he got one anyways, and get a ton of shit from wife, but hey, least hes a kewl kid now)

im a SS oldskooler here, been playing for around 3+ years, with the same name, same undead rogue. no way im ditching all that now smile.gif

Added on December 3, 2007, 6:29 amanyways, to those expecting some update, i should've been writing this after our last week of arena as its really hard to pick up the bits of memories about our last few arenas, which was quite interesting. but ill try my best to bring up some highlights and a decent article.

With season3 extended to an additional week, every arena player across the board are having mixed feelings, with some getting restless over the delay of season3 as they are basically capped out on honor and arena points and have nothing more to look forward to other than the new season, whereas some being actually happy of the delay as it allows them to get another week's worth of arena points, or honor points, or even a last push up on the rating ladder. whichever it may be, season3 is coming close, and everyone is preparing for the coming.

That pretty much goes the same for us, as our members are basically either farming honor, or farming mats/gold for their new gear that they will be getting in season3. In regards to our team's progression, things havent been going too smooth for our team of late as our priest's computer went down, and our mage is having a vacation at australia. That, coupled with the recent DST (Daylights Savings Time) occurance, further hammering our team's attendence as our aussie mates cant be doing arenas too late and our american friends are having trouble waking up even earlier than before because if its too late, the it will be difficult for the aussies as they are 3 hours behind. To sum it up, we've been having troubles to get the games started throughout the week until this one fine day on sunday (or was it monday?) we managed to gather up a decent setup of Hunter/FeralDruid/Rogue/RestoDruid/Paladin.

When we're starting up the games, for some reason tmnut screamyx decided to be an ass to me and curse me with an avg of 700-800 ms latency. Reconnections for better IPs had been in vain and there isnt much time left for the team due to DST and everything, and the fact that it is our final week, so i will just have to endure the pain of playing in such extreme conditions. That said, blessing in disguise, we had a pretty damn satisfying good start as we were pitted with double happiness team right off the bat. The fight began with all of their dps focusing solely on me, and didnt even bothered to cc or even dmg our healers so im pretty much kept alive with quick recovery talent, hots ticking endlessly and paladin holy light spam crits. while even myself under the preasure of focus fired, and the rest of my team whos free to do whatever they damn well wish, dropped their hunter with relative ease. With 5 vs 4, the match is no doubt all in favor to us, and in the end, not even a single person died. the subsequent 2 more matches was just about the same as the first, with them coming to their senses a little more and they actually started doing something to our healers, but our healers manage to ward off their cc's/attacks and kept me alive.

The wins was very satisfying, but something wasnt right, the rating gains was a lot lower than expected (about 10ish per win), and they arent running with the characters that should be their main setup. so, we come to a conclusion that this may be their alternate arena team, unfortunately, no one captured their team name, and we are unable to confirm it. but we do know that they have 2 teams, and both teams, are WELL UNDER our ratings. (main team: Hongkongkoonyun is at 200x dropped from 206x, and the other team: ninja kura kura at 1800/1900 ish rating range.) Needless to say we've relcaimed our title of being #1 stormscale asia/pacific team, we also have a very strong and solid lead over the rest of the competition.

Then came along the team that we tend to face from time to time, they are mentioned in the last update. (post #77) The first match ended in a fairly easy fight as they were running a 4 dps setup with a paladin which was easily cc'ed and their members dying off 1 by 1. and to our surprise after the victory, we gained almost 20 ratings. That definitely was a pleasant result, though short lived as we know that they can easily swap in their regular 3 dps 2 healer setup with paladin priest as their heals and it'll be really tough for us to deal with.

We queued again and it was nothing out of our anticipation, they did a 3 dps 2 healer setup, even swapped their rogue for an elemental shaman. our paladin was cc'ed badly while they're mage and warrior dps'ed me, while the elemental shaman single handedly blew up our resto druid. When the dust settled we lost without even killing one of them, which was rather shocking (pun intended) especially from their elemental shaman's burst damage capabilities. Another match we splitted dps just as they did, and the result was much better with us killing their shaman, but still we lost, as the shaman managed to do an insane burst down on me before he died from a series of trinket NS CL into shock and a well timed PI on the mage for him to shatter combo. I was pretty much electrocuted and shattered for good measures.

3rd match against them, we arent expecting much as they are a team thats well co-ordinated on burst damage oriented style, and while we're good on offensive, we arent too well on handling a team that ultilizes sudden-death burst damage on the defensive department. So we just use work out the strat with our hunter and feral druid permanently on the mage (with aimshot to preasure the healers), while myself on the shaman to have him permanently locked down to not have a single charged jolt casted out aside the occassional shocks everytime its cooled.

We managed to ward off series after series of co-ordinated burst in additions to CC's on our healers, and the fight rages on for about 2-3 or so minutes, and i have been watching, and waiting patiently on the mage, counting off the iceblocks being used and blessing of protections being casted, at the same time concentrating everything ive got against the shaman doing my very best to lock him down with my latency, poison cleansing totem, manual abolish/paladin cleansings working thats been working against my very determination to keep the shaman under control.

Suddenly, fate strikes, as if the stars aligned and the very gods smiled upon me and our team! The mage, having both iceblocks used, blessing of protection spent, without icebarrier, without mana, is lingering at 40% hp, with a couple of arrows shrieking in motion towards the mage, and he is coming to my very direction. Immediately i react, forfeiting the shaman, i turn to the mage, as if time itself halted just for this very moment, i pushed my "signature trinket coldblood mutilate combo" button, under the grim circumstances i am in, with the latency and the mage un-snared, i prayed. My character immediately glow red, with the fierce hordish face icon appearing above my head, and to my surprise, his arms were moving, as if my very will is directly controling it, he thrust the twin merciless shankers forward. This instance, time starts to flow again, everything falling into place, the arrows landed, further dropping the mage's health to about 20%, and my trinket coldblood mutilate dual critted the mage for 1.6k x2 stabbing the mage from the sides, and the text "Killing blow!" appeared on my screen. Then and there, the mage fell, and we're on a 5 vs 4 lead.

But the battle is far from over, with the shaman loose, and a quick maneuver from the paladin landing a hammer of justice on me with my trinket on cooldown, the shaman further distanced away from me, and started to cast his chain lightning, immediately i called out on vent something along the lines of: "shaman is going for the burst, keep me alive!" Right after the call was made, the first chain lightning hit, critting me for 3.8k, then another trinket NS chainlightning for another 3.9k, and another lightning botl for 2k and a finishing earthshock of about 2k. To make matters worse, the warrior was also immediately intercepted to my position and immediately applying mortal strike along with his flurry of swings slamming be back and forth during the stun. All that, especially the terrifying sound effects of those jolts was definitely something to be feared. As anyone would expect, i should've been lying on the arena floor lifeless after all those attacks, but i was not, in between all those they stopped cc's on my healers, especially with the mage being dead, and they were able to do their very best on keeping me alive, with all the HOTs ticking, swiftmend, NS heal, holy light crit under mortal strike of 4-5k back and forth, i was saved. The moment i recovered, our full fury was being directed to the shaman. The shaman, after being locked down by me all along, and after unleashing those devastating attacks, he finally ran out of mana, and he submitted defeat promptly upon engage.

With the battle now 5 vs 3, the end result was obvious, the warrior was cc'ed and the healers that were oom from a very long dragged out fight were taken out without much struggle, and yielded us another 20ish rating. and whats best about this, is we finally broken the 2100 barrier for good! Being over 2100 and further strengtening our position in the ladder.

4th match, they finally figured out our main weakness, our hunter, has no defense mechanism, and them being a heavy burst oriented team, quickly ultilized this to their advantage. they swapped in the rogue with the shaman, and proceeded to exploit our weakness. Battle started with the rogue on the druid, paladin fully cc'ed, and our hunter being blown up in just under 10 seconds of the match. The druid, being preasured from an AR/prep rogue, is forced to kite around and didnt have much opportunity to heal our hunter and our paladin was basically silenced/into sheep before he could even use sacrifice, and even after he bubbled to break sheep, it was all too late. The loss costed us about 10+ ratings, not too huge of a loss so we continued.

5th and 6th match yielded the same results as we do not have our mage or priest to swap in to counter their strat. and coughed back our ratings to them. At the end of the day with our 10 games played. We were pretty sore that we fell from the 2100 level, and even worse, losing our shot at the gladiator title for season2, however it was some very interesting matches, and most definitely it was fun compared to the random scrub teams that basically bend over or just get steamrolled everytime we engage them. And most importantly, as with any arena team in progression, experience, is what we gained the most despite the 30ish rating loss netting us 203x rating from our 206x start.

To summarize:
- we ended season2 with 203x rating
- we're still Stormscale #1 Asia/Pacific timezone team
- we lost our shot at the gladiator title

To every PVP'er out there, Season3 has finally begun, and may this be an interesting season for everyone who enjoys PVP be it casual or hardcore. May we give out a warm welcome into the coming of this new season. Hope to see you in the arenas smile.gif

Well you don't have to ditch it, just transfer! laugh.gif

But most of the servers in Bloodlust have crazy long queues so, it might not be a good idea after all. But if you enjoy competitive arena then Bloodlust is fun.

Boy do I hate the first week of the season. All the top teams are still at 1500-1600 laugh.gif

The thing bout WoW pvp is that, I prefer its world pvp a lot more than any other form. The reason why I do BGs and Arenas are for the gears of course. But I do admit the title is hot to have biggrin.gif

by transferring im no longer a storm-scaler, now would i? smile.gif

and hey, world pvp with top pvp gears is a real pushover, unless your targets have the same ammount of gear/skill. but it is satisfying time to time no doubt, insta-gibbing drinking mages never gets old

First week of season 3 coming to an end, and we're currently having a very good start. While our opposition alliance asia/pacific (Hongkongkoonyun) team is 8 points ahead of us having a 18 win 0 loss score. We arent doing bad either with a staggering 27 win and 2 loss score, with the 2 loss robbing us off close to 40 ratings.

Most importantly, we are amongst the top10-20ish stormscale 5v5 team right now, which puts us in a huge lead over the rest of the stormscale team. One interesting point to mention too is that we are just 29 points behind HOTIRL team which is a top3 horde Stormscale team since season1 until season2, and even many occassions being #1 horde team too, and aside their pvp achievements, HOTIRL, which comprises mainly of members from JUICE guild, is also stormscale no1 Horde raiding guild, that is attempting illidan or already downed illidan from black temple.

And onto our team update, since we are on the push for more ratings on the last day of the week before ratings rolling over, we had to sub in a lesser and weaker member of our guild since the american healers are not on. So we invited Apostrof, a disc priest with 8k unbuffed hp and 280 resilience. Against any high end arena team, stats like that for a priest basically means insta-gib free honor kill. Thankfully for us we're still lowly rated due to the season reset, so we figured, might as well try our luck.

Turned out to be rather decent with our interesting dual disc priest setup, running along with rogue + warlock + feral druid rotating side by side with our hunter. With our warlock sakumi being almost permanently power infused, dot damage was getting rather out of hand with every tick dealing 3-5k dmg across the board with about 2-3 people being dotted. it was so bad that the healings coming from drains/deathcoil/siphon life even out heal our priests' individual healing at one point. And on defensive side, with not one, but TWO pain suppression to ultilize, even with apostrof's lesser gear, our foes are finding him seemingly unkillable thanks to pain suppression and cc's from our team. To make matters worse for them, reflective shield dealing around 1k dmg everytime PWS is popped is also proven to be effective in killing our enemies faster.

On some rather sad news, the Paladin on our 5v5 roster - Viraxis decided to join a raiding guild to participate in raids too, while we have no problem for our members to participate in pve or raids, we do not allow people that isnt in our guild to arena with us. As such, he is no longer in our roster. But just as i was opening up recruitment for a paladin, Sakumi's RL friend, which is also a paladin - Olgalydia, decided to fill in that spot.

What makes him so interesting is that, few weeks or months ago, myself, along with my officers of Death Infused had been trying to recruit this paladin into our ranks. Due to him being attached with his RL friend, a warlock (which is Sakumi, but its unknown to us at that point) and a rogue. At that time we have no guarantees for a spot for the warlock and especially the rogue, so he was reluctant to join us and in the end rejected us. Just recently, we've recruited Sakumi and he just started his first time of arenas with us when season 3 hits. And when i was opening up recruitment for a paladin to replace the previous paladin we lost, he mentioned that his RL friend is a paladin, and it turns out to be Olgalydia himself. What a small small world indeed, making life even in the world of warcraft all the more interesting with each passing day.

Ok finally some updates.

5v5's of late havent been goin too smoothly, we've just lost our 2 american healers that decided to prioritize over raiding, people come and go, so cant be helped.

So what we have here is a paladin thats currently having RL crisis with his baby, that has gears 1-2 season behind with 600-900 ms latency to play with (from indonesia). Already got him to work on the linux route but havent been able to play lately. So to be honest not too much use of him.

And another priest thats on 340ish resil and 9k++ buffed hp. (thankfully hes working on his gears pretty hard, and plays decently a lot too, so in due time it will be good) You'd think thats good right? not really. At our level of competition, that kinda stats spells insta-gib. And thats what happened, we played against double happiness team Hongkongkoonyun multiple matches and all they do is feed on our priest thanks to his lesser gear. While there is pain suppression, it really doesnt help when every DPS is glue'd to an undergeared priest that can rely nothing but instants.

http://www.wowarmory.com/team-info.xml?r=S...HongKongKoonYun
See their amazing track record? Noticed the 3 losses? We dented those losses. Pretty much, even in our horribly weakened state, we are still their only competition, sad to say. (running dual disc priest healer, and one being an undergeared priest too, isnt good AT ALL. and minus me being 1 leather, my entire team consists of clothies, wtf lol) With all that said, thus far, despite the 3 losses we inflicted to them, they pounded us harder with AT LEAST 8+ losses. The only relieving thing (if one would ever consider that) out of the disaster is that every win we got from them yielded us 20+ ratings and the losses we faced only cut us up by around 10+ ratings. in total i think we've prolly lost maybe 30-40ish ratings to them.

Still, even if the losses arent high, it puts us further and further behind competition and that is not good at all. With all the above said and happenings, at least we're still in a DECENT position despite the huge gap lagging behind from the main competition of our BG/Server/Faction sitting at 1700 ratings and a 36-12 75% win ratio track record. Nonetheless we will make a comeback and hopefully it will be happening with some fresh meats that we are about to fill.

Moving on to the 3v3's out of the tasteless and rather disastrous 5v5 update, it has been pretty interesting and exciting on the 3v3's. Although for the most part we arent having much competitions at all, mainly im assuming the fact that we're running RMP and me being on the HARP rogue band wagon. For those who dont know the terms, RMP stands for RogueMagePriest, AKA the holy trinity (rogue[used to be mutilate rogue but now being HARP] + frost mage + Healing priest [used to be 28/33 or 27/34 healing priest, now full disc priest]) and HARP Rogue stands for Hemorrhage AdrenalineRush Preparation Rogue. Most of our losses are majorly by our own noobish mistakes or us not taking our competition serious enough. (Mainly my part perhaps, as ive mentioned i dont take 2v2/3v3 serious enough, mainly attributed from RPS and RNG issues on the 2's/3's brackets, RPS being rock papers scissors and RNG being random number generation aka lucky procs)

Yesterday night we were pushing it really hard as our priest is hoping for his shoulders very badly upon update on Tuesday. We hit 1999 rating just 1 short, only to lose 2 matches (That in the end it is our own mistakes especially being duped to go on the affliction warlock, on paper its the right choice, but that team, theres a much better choice - the mage) denting us ~50 ratings. Against a Mage/AffLock/Disc priest, the most ideal target is to pound on the AFF lock to prevent any UA being landing on the team. Sadly, there is a much better choice and a VERY CRITICAL choice at that. The mage for their team is insane on sheeping and since shes mostly being left alone, frostbolts hitting for about 1.6-1.8k dmg is a KILLER to our team. On the 3rd match after our losses, we tried to have a run for the mage, we then found out, shes been fooling us all along running with lesser resilience with my eviscerate critting her upwards of 3k dmg (yes 3k, no more no less) Our burst was so hard and fast she didnt even manage to get pain suppression from the priest, and it struck her so bad she didnt even manage to iceblock (died in 2-3 seconds upon engagement). Sadly after that won they stopped q'ing, and from the games we won previously, about 30 ish ratings, we still lost 20ish in the end, what a pity.

So we hit 1998, once again, last 2. Last game being being against a paladin rogue warrior, ALL 3 decked out, and ALL 3 Season 2 gladiators. Just when we thought it will be ok considering our superior class matrix, we were in the end out skilled and probably out latencied (even with 200-300 ms, americans that have sub 100 or even sub 50 latencies are always on the advantage) and we lost 2 matches to them. They finally found a HARD SOLID counter to us - killing our priest with a MS warr + HARP rogue. The dmg done was so insane even with pain suppression our priest only lasted around 5-10+ seconds, on both losing matches denting us almost 50+ ratings yet again. And since it is almost 3AM, with me needing to wake up for work around 6:30am for work, and the priest, being in Australia, and having DST, hes already having sunrise at 6ish AM (+3 hours for his place compared to Msia time) So we had to regrettably calling it off. While me and the mage isnt being too sore/disappointed, our priest is prolly the person hurting the most unable to get his brand new shining shoulders on tuesday. As usual though, we'll pick up from where we fell, and continue on the journey on yet another new week of this new and refreshing season that is Season 3.

And in case i forgotten, some minor announcement:
Yeap, you've guessed it, RECRUITMENT IS NOW OPEN FOR ONE SPOT!!!

We're seeking for a Resto Shaman or Resto Druid. Dont hesitate or wait any further, join up with one of the most engaging and competitive Malaysian/Asia Pacific WoW arena team/guilds around, ONLY ONE SPOT up for grabs.

hehe sorry for the lack of updates to those expecting one, been reeeaaaal busy of late pumping for the ranks, our 3v3 currently sit on top 6 stormscale and top 30ish cyclone BG, with 2012 rating. We were 2040 rating with top 3 stormscale and top 20ish cyclone, sadly a loss of 28 ratings pushed us far back down to 2012 as mentioned.

Anyways im updating recruitments, will edit this post again once done

At long last, our 5v5 glory is finally relived and it kicked off with a great bang. Yesterday night, as usual, we were doing our normal 5v5 with HARP rogue/disc priest/frost mage/feral druid/resto druid. For one this setup already have a stacking class, which makes a 5v5 composition pretty weak due to the lack of varitiey in spells/abilities, and secondly our resto druid is badly undergeared (new recruit, and prior to resto he was feral) and lacks experience especially within high-end pvp world. Things were a little bumpy with people (usually our priest being the focus of zerging all the time) dying where they shouldnt and having blind/cyclones (2 druids) burning up upon each other by diminishing returns.

But that all changed after the 8th ish game, a shaman was expressing his interest in our pvp guild/team, and thus i performed the usual interviews, and since im satisfied with all the answers given, along with his decent stats (around 1700 healings and close to 400 resil) he was invited without much hesitations. (went through some minor discussion in the officer channels and its all green light in there)

Since the 5v5 queues were going pretty decent that night, we figured, might as well bring him in for straight live runs, to see how well he does, besides, we dont have much to lose since we were no longer in the top10 rankings since the 5v5 got inactive for a few weeks. First few runs, although being pitted with horrible scrub teams, ive already been seeing good totem maintainence, and good purging/shockings and support from his part, showing a lot of good qualities right there. Granted, all the above should be expected as he is from texas, just finished college and being NBTD (nothing better to do) and having FIVE level 70's, with the 6th being a level 6x paladin on its way to 70, and his warrior is a gladiator (gothor) with his warlock half set season3 too, to sum it all up - a good wow nerd and doesnt suck, and thats obviously a good addition to our team.

After a few matches, our team and especially the shaman is finally being put to the test facing a pretty decent Warrior/holy paladin/disc priest/enh shaman/frost mage team. With a little surprise, the shaman stepped up his game being hella aggressive on purges, earth shock interrupts, and grounding/tremor totem counters. And with the addition to bloodlust and power infusion, our mage is dishing out horrendous damage via back to back frostbolt shatter combos or even Arcane missles that does a barrage of 3-4k dmg onslaught even when none of them critted, along with myself lusted, having white crits of 800-1.5k and SND (slice and dice) + Bladeflurry + trinket + A.rush running, AND feral druid increased attack speed having higher omen of clarity procs, things goes down FAST. Picture a 12k+ hp priest, with 450++ resilience, dying in 4-8 seconds, THATS how insane those said dmg were going for. Bloodlusted mana burns are pretty rediculous too as it can run someone oom from full in around 10-20 secs if no one is bothered to interrupt the priest, and to add in DOUBLE offensive dispels rendering crucial paladin buffs such as BOP/BOF being removed almost instantly (within the 0.x-1.x second timeframe) is also another load of offensive PAIN that we can unload upon our enemies. Even if the enemy goes balls deep on debuff buffers with warlock/priest/mage/paladin/warrior setups (thats a lot of buffs to purge/dispel).

Whats even better is that it relived our nostalgic original 5v5 setup (all the same members, except misko being the resto sham). That certainly brought back a lot of good memories, just not the mom ambushing our resto shaman part tongue.gif

Damage aside, the setup we run can also really SCREW a person's healing (which is essential vs 2 healer 5v5 setups) really really badly when co-ordinated right. Priest with fear and mind control, mage has counterspell and sheeps, i have blind, kick, stuns and gouges, druid have maim/feral charge/cyclones/bash, shaman have earth shocks and warstomp. Performed well, we have the potential of denying any forms of healings for at least a good 10-20+ seconds, and even if the heals do get out, theres always a 5 stack wound poison debuff waiting for it to negate half healings.

And since cc's were mentioned, fear, cyclone, blind, sap, sheeps are all damn good CC's to keep 2-3 people out of commisioned for a decent ammount of time. Tilting the tables to our favor indefinitely. With all things said and done, we marathoned our arenas all the way to 3AM+ (6AM+ for the aussies) facing 3 decently tough teams and all 3 teams yielded 8-12 ratings to us. Obviously everyone was tired but most importantly we definitely had fun, and the end result you may ask?

ooh, whole day 0 post on LYN wow forum.

well, lets break the silence.

normally i would try to write up an article here, especially when we had one HELL of an epic battle yesterday against our arch enemy - team hongkongkoonyun (11minute intense battle uphill climb madness). but im dead lazy so im not gonna do that. ill probably do a news post on jomwow though.

=edit=
doh.gif
ah how could i forget, we are now 2031 rating on 5v5, #2 on server #51 on BG.
this morning update #3 on server #53 on BG.

and all 8 members in our roster getting 1.1k arena points this week.
hope this shows that if ur accepting into our team, you are guaranteed your points unless you yourself not showing up for arenas.

and with that said, we are still looking for fill our 2 spots, with a holy paladin, and last spot maybe for a hunter or warrior.

bumping to keep thread alive, and yes, still recruiting a dedicated msian holy paladin. we've had multiple paladin canditates in the past and even now we have one but they are all pretty much failures and either couldnt adapt to our timezone, or just arent the 2k+ rating caliber.

resto shamans are also welcomed as we now have a win-fury needy warrior.

ding 1750 on 5v5, full honor gear, and 2 piece s4 with an overhaul on gemming netting me 1950 ap, 38% crit, 1.2k armor pene unbuffed.

could be higher, but our 6 games in the early games played were lost in a very crappy manner. i costed the team 1-2 games with 2-5k ms ping (yes, really bad heavy spikes) after a reconnection after unable to enter ventrilo with my current ip, sadly that traded my ability to play WoW too as there was apparently only one IP able to play WoW. thankfully later on im able to reconnect to my previous ip that allows wow to be at 300-400 ms smile.gif
then following 1-2 games caused by paladin having heavy spikes/dc. 3-4 games = our shaman on "56k" (aus isp shuts ur connection down to SHITTY 56k when ur over ur bandwidthlimit) causing 3-4 4vs5 matches with him dropping off games.

despite those stupid 6 games, we stll pulled off to 1750 rating, with 84% win ratio dominating the opposing teams harshly as all of us minus the newly recruited resto sham has been together for sometime and at the very least played throughout the majority of s3 which netted the team CLOSE to 600 incredible ammount of wins accumulated. far surpassing the 2nd highest ammount of games won by a team ever in our cyclone bg (blame timezone lol!)

ty

but sad to disappoint that we most likely wont get it. waay too much complications that came up during the final week. and our paladin not pulling those clutch calls when it was needed and costed us quite a ton.

in total, our final push netted around 200+ ratings. but we lost about 190 in the process. despite the insane 60+ wins and like.... 7 loss?

1800's for the first week, not too bad of a headstart. seems like the whole season 3 -> 4 transition very deja vu'ish from season 2 -> 3 transition. hopefully we can break free from that chain and get glad before WOTLK, that would be the ultimate reward with a title going into WOTLK smile.gif (even though ill never change my hwl title ^^)

Hi, fellow asian here who is very interested in joining your guild. Here's my armory link

http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...e&n=Deadlysight

A few things about myself:
1) A hardcore PVPer and arena junkie trapped in a RP server. Most of my guild mates are fellow Singaporeans who only PVE and have never set foot in arenas. Luckily, a few are willing to PVP / Arenas (actually just one) and we manage to scrap together an average of 1700+ rating most of the time. The downside is that playing 2vs2 means the points come really slowly and although I got the S4 boots, I got no arena points left for the helm after snapping up the S4 gloves, chest and leggings. Our 3s and 5s are virtually dead, no one plays.

2) Although I have played WOW for more than a year doing not much else other then BGs and 2s arenas, use macros and kiting extensively, I consider my skill level is only average (or maybe even below average) at best. I am just not in the right guild and server where there are enough PVPers. On my own, there is only so much I can do for self-improvement. Watching videos of 2K+ hunters and executing it in arena are very different things and I am finding it hard to progress further in arenas when most of my arena experience is 2s with a rogue.

From what you described, the kinda of guild you are running is something I am very keen to join. Problem being that I can't transfer my toon over to a PVP server and would have to reroll. 1-70 would take some weeks and the obligatory BG grind after that would take also a week or two, meaning by the time I meet entry level requirements (full S2 welfare) to arena it might be 2-3 months. My question is, would you invite a leveling toon to your guild? Also, while I understand you are looking for a healer, I have tried many classes and I am really passionate about the hunter class (despite them not very well represented in arenas) and committed to making it work. Would you accept a hunter into your 5s?

Look forward to hearing from you.

thanks for expressing interest in our team/guild, however as you know yourself, hunters are the least represented class in arenas i think you know why. Will have to check with everyone else on what they think of a hunter addition to the 5v5 team. (as we have 3 healers atm we do have the option to run loldrain team that do require a hunter.)

ill let you know by latest around wednesday night ish. will be pm'ing you soon.

This just in, it looks like the previous season's phantom teams are removed, and we now have a clearer view on our team's progression:

As teams progressed with the passing days, our team fell below rank 27 Cyclone, and from rank 1 to rank 2 Stormscale.

Currently seated at 2nd place Stormscale, with one team having 100 ratings above our ass, which composed the majority of members being gladiators last season. Despite that we still had a pretty good head start, given our initial issues being dragged over since last season's ending, and the recruitment of a good skilled (his gear is season1 ish though, and is always trained in our 5's as he is easily sticking out compared to us as his gear graphic is giving away his stats too easily) shaman.

http://www.wowarmory.com/arena-ladder.xml?...th+Infused+Five

All said and done, we're still easily the most games played team (again, thanks to timezone issues), with one of the best consistant win ratio around.
This Week stats
26 - 4
87%
1823

Season stats
99 games played
84 - 15 win/loss comparison
85% win ratio
1823 total ratings

looking forward to this week's comparison as more teams are rising up from their slumber (alliance guild double happiness, being our main contender in the pvp field, though we usually school them, but cant be helped as we had WAY more experience than any of their given members) to give us decent ratings as opposed to the standard 0-5 ratings / 25-30 rating losses.

bumping for mass recruitment:

QUOTE
Death Infused Guild is currently recruiting 5 more consistant and dedicated PVP built players for our Arenas(mainly) and group BG and some occassional world PVP. ALL of our 4 current members in our 10 man 5v5 roster team have around over 400 resil. My stat changes : ~400 resil, 12k+ unbuffed hp, ~39%% crit and 1.9k+ AP. no longer the highest resil member in the team in exchange of more killing power.

my armory:
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.x...ale&n=Quazacolt

Last Season(Season2):
The team was also hanging around 2k ratings in ALL brackets for a few months already and still showing huge potential of progressing more.
Last Season(Season3):
The 5v5 team is CONSISTANTLY sitting at around AT LEAST top10 US Stormscale team and top 100 on US Cyclone BG on around 2000+ ratings for the majority of the season, with a whooping almost 700 win and around 100 loss maintaining around 85% win ratio.

The team had also pumped out OVER 12+ 2k rating s3 shoulder members, as well as the main core members already building alternate s3 sets/items as we're overloaded with arena points (1-1.2k arena points/week) and even myself im having FULL SET Season3 weapons in my bank/on character and still building a SECOND S3 set geared for hp/resil.
We aim to only be the best, and complete domination over any opponents.

Positions needed to be filled:
Warrior:  CLOSED
Paladin:  CLOSED
Hunter:  400+ resil, (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
Shaman: 440+ resil, enh/elem prefered, 1k spell dmg for elem 1.5k ap for enh with good crit. (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
Rogue:    CLOSED
Druid:    400+ resil, 1.8k+ healing prefered (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
Mage:    400+ resil, almost or around 1k spell dmg (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
Warlock: around 460-490 resil, 1-1.1k spell dmg. (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
Priest:    440-490 resil, 1.7k healing (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
website: http://www.deathinfusedguild.tk

We *MAY* consider the other closed classes so long it isnt any of the following:
Rogue/Warrior
Although requirements will most likely me higher and stricter.

Also, even if your gear is not on par with the requirements listed, feel free to enquire anyways if you think you have what it takes to be in our team, with enough skill and determination.

Please contact me through website forum, or reply to this thread, or pm me on LYN, or drop me an ingame mail/PM at US Stormscale Server Horde side.

man the requirements is going to kill me, if i start with a green then id have to join some other guild and start with dungeons, then move in to bigger raids like kara or za, then only i can get in like ssc or hyjal,bt maybe sp, then id have a chance at least to get some s2 or s3 if im lucky and be paired up with a good player, that would take 1 year+ provided i play everyday and it all depends on my social skills within the game, man this guild is hard to get in.

The team was also hanging around 2k ratings in ALL brackets for a few months already and still showing huge potential of progressing more.
Last Season(Season3):

Paladin: 1.8-2k healing paladin, resilience at least 300+ full S3 or equalvalent gear, pve gear also welcomed so long you have decent resil
Hunter: 400+ resil, (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
Shaman: Any spec 440-480 resil. For enh shamans. 440+ resil 1.5k ap with good crit. (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
Rogue: CLOSED
Druid: CLOSED
Mage: 400+ resil with over 1k spell dmg (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
Warlock: 450-490+ resil with over 1.1k spell dmg (AT LEAST 4/5 S3 or equalvalent gear)
Priest: CLOSED
website: http://www.deathinfusedguild.tk

We *MAY* consider the other closed classes so long it isnt any of the following:
Rogue/Warrior
Although requirements will most likely be higher and stricter.

Rogues are a definite closure. (again, no rogues. there wasnt any season of proven success in 5v5 or even any brackets minus maybe RRD in 3v3 by having multiple rogues. of course there are probably some exceptions however i wont be bothered to argue about it so save it. no rogues.)

since ive *SORTA* getting more involved in the game after being really REALLY casual for a long while since WOTLK until recently, might as well bump and attempt to get the 5v5 back up. 3v3 is finally having a decent consistant team and have games going on every week. and of course, i am looking to expand to the 5s as that is my favorite bracket.

first post is updated with the above quoted information too.

i think i canâ„¢ oso, got me latency lowered 600ms... but i dun think 800+ms is good enuf for 10 men raid...

Edit: damn... it just went back to normal...

Edit again: seems like TMNut's work, after all... it does stabilize the jumpy connection between 700ms to 1050ms... even when the bridge is using wireless connection...
