QUOTE(x_tionman @ Aug 4 2007, 12:34 AM) who is representing sg for dota then? There are no advantage to RoA since Micro is the most consistent team around in SG lately. If they can beat Zenith with a full lineup(yes, with Musica in it) then of coz they are a fearsome opponent now. A team that is better than Zenith, impressive. hope that this is seen as an advantage to our dota team, but not to the extend of getting overconfident. there are other teams to consider upon, expect to c indonesia with new wicked tactics. good luck guys Seems like RoA won the Aussies in their 1st match, anyone who knows more about it can you please kindly share the info with us?Cheers This post has been edited by kahwai85: Aug 5 2007, 08:29 AM |

AspireAcer I am afraid you are wrong. The limited directions that the keyboard arrowkeys allow will make it really difficult for you to excel in FIFA.

WP by China, they just played very safely and avoid any early engagement as possible. With NA and Veno, this 2 early runner seems not that efficient when China play as safe as they can. Once again, its proven that BB is a IMBA hero. He got DD and rush in, all Malaysia heroes fall back. Making it easy for China to take down the centre outside tower.
I just watched my first ACG match and its not a pleasant one, (T_T). Anyhow, good job to our country representative for raking up a medal for our country. I am still proud of you guys. GG. |

Just back from Suntec City and a late dinner.
Well, IMHO... there were not damage dealers in CT. And the early ganks didn't earn them much on the advantage. China team's last items were beyond the reach of CT... CT tried on 2nd and 3rd Roshan but kena caught and caused them disadvantages... Anyway, was preparing a write-up, perhaps will be up tomorrow with video and photos. Just post up one photo here first... Edit: Post was up, please visit it here -> http://www.szeping.com/?p=160 This post has been edited by szeping: Aug 6 2007, 01:11 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

i was there too. sad that BB belongs to China. once BB charged into the mid lane, my feeling is the game belongs to China already. i remember during Autosurf Tourney, RoA still managed to win againts Auto-Eternals even though Auto-Eternals has BB. when i saw China pick BB my heart keep on 'asking' Paulyan to pick BearBear (that's what he used to win the Auto-Eternals). But...
Actually i think they lost partly because of SK too. when RoA tried to gangbang BB, they never pursue further when BB runs most likely because afraid of SK+Blink+Epi. At least 4-5 times such scenario occur. watch the soon to be release reply, let's see you all can notice it or not? After the game while i was walking home, lot's of ppl discussing about Malaysia team. I heard they mentioned that RoA don't have a tanker. only Paulyan's Sven with BKB + Satanic + Hyperstone. but still not enough. btw, i hate the commentater. in the beginning when RoA was controlling the game with higher kills rate, they mentioned it's UNEXPECTED by Malaysia. i was WTF? what unexpected? Anyway, kudos to CT-RoA. 2nd in Asia, no one gonna blame you all. it's time to relax in geylang? lol, joking joking.. I have a request here. is it possible to do a report on the main Lowyat.NET web with interviews of all the RoA members? they are the local Dota celebrities now. I guess lot's of us wants to know them better. I only recognise Paulyan. lol This post has been edited by Sanko: Aug 6 2007, 01:19 AM |

The China team is called TeamWorldElite or something right? But you have to admit that China's backup was good, remember the Silencer's global silence that saved the Chinese heroes like, maybe 2-3 times? Perhaps CT was afraid of SK's burrow strike back with silencer's global silence + back-up "from nowhere".I do think that the commentator was a bit biased. And, they declared that they can't reveal any possible ganking or movement, yet they did "announce" when some heroes picked up rune, recharged with bottle, number of heroes that were on their ways to control lane (sometimes), exsitance of observer wards at several spots and bla bla bla... But I think all players were wearing headphone that blocks away the comments right, weren't they? |

i think this game also exposed the weakness of sven as carry hero.
Sven is too clumsy and slow. He seem to spend too much time trying to walk to a hero. Also the godstrength took almost 2 second delay to set up. At one point, I saw sven chasing the warlock around, while silencer decimates the rest of his team. |

He has farmed well indeed, but chose to play defensively (dagger for escape, not for offensive most of the time). He went for hood and dagger, with a total of 4500 spent without adding any damage... Overall I think we did great considering the opponents we are up against.
The pressure of not losing to teams that we think are beatable , the euphoria of meeting the players themselves after months of talking only online put aside to face them in the battle for progressing , the inherent fear of pitting some "unbeatable strats" in the opponent's community against our own knowledge of the game and most of all , the weight of the nation behind their backs. All this combined makes more than 1 million reasons to lose every game. China is a great team. They held their nerve and run basically the same strat all tournament without fear of being countered. However , to win the tournament needs a certain of luck coupled with skills itself. To beat Team Malaysia even with a mistake made in drafting by us is no easy task in itself. We held our own for most parts of the game and even had the chance to win it if China made a couple more mistakes in engagements. Bad for us , they did not. The fact that we made it this far proves that our Dota scene is ranked among the best around. This itself is not a small feat to be frowned upon. We shown everyone that if we put our minds to something , we can achieve the impossible. Thank you all for the support given. |

I attend the event. After the competition, I overheard some people at the toilet saying that Malaysia's team focus too much on heroes while China focus on the base.
CT had a very good start but they made a mistake by buying low lvl item while china buy a lot of high lvl item. |

2nd in asia is not bad. infact its awesome. malaysia hardly reach a stage where people can really recognise us but dota has paved the way. hope this will motivate other games such as cs wc3 melee or maybe starcraft ? in malaysia. well, WE is still among the feared wc3 clan and for sure, they will set up a quite pro dota team to avoid their shame. cmon, they are a fully sponsored team and they will do their best not to lose face at acg. anyway, congrats RoA for proving that malaysians also can excel in gaming.
