i dun think there is option to change the CR in the bios...r u sure it is the ram coz the ram is rated at DDR2 667 and u r running it at 667...wont boot means what...after u changed the fsb, save n exit, nothing happened or it just keep on cycling on and off?as mentioned by ace, have u tried up the vcore a bit... i mean higher than the default?

aiyooo.. this is not the answer im l0oking for.. zzZZzz

im runin' blend stress, b4 iteration 8K, it was 1024k passed, only when i move to 8K, its goin' unstable

so im wondering which need more juice, cpu or ddr?? i mean the main reason for the failed 8k iteration
*
i think ur cpu might need more juice...u can either up ur vcore or lower down a bit the oc...and see how.
the blend test (if i'm right) is to test both the cpu and ddr at the same time with the same FFT length...the big one is mainly targeted for ddr and small one mainly targeted for the cpu...but the blend test will run either small or big on both the cpu and ddr...so, i guess if u got the error at 8k, might be the cpu is the culprit...so, my best bet is ur cpu lah...

I'm going to lap the IHS tonight (hopefully) and see how much cooler it'll be with the stock HSF smile.gif
*
good going bro...i've done mine about a month ago...but sadly not much improvement...around 1-2c only on idle but on load, boleh tahan - didnt remember how 'tahan' was it. dunno issit due to my proc and cpu block not 'friendly' enuff or what.

bro sniper, why u dun u bump ur fsb to 400mhz and reduce multiplier to 8x??? i thought most of conroe ocers prefer to have high fsb?? btw, 3.2ghz for e66 is confirmed stable @ stock voltage dun worry  rclxms.gif instead target for >3.6ghz  flex.gif
*
he's till in the testing phase...so testing how high the proc can go with hi multiplier and low fsb...once he knows his proc capability, he can tune to the best setting prolly like the one u mentioned or higher...

Currently running @ SPD as in EPP #3 (see my CPUZ scrrenie)

Mem Speed @ 960, vMem @ 2.2

FSB 480 x 7

user posted image

I tried increasing voltage both CPU and Mem but no success! 480 seems to be the last!

Any suggestions welcome thnx!
And TS I would be thankful if you can add me also to the list based on my current results thnx!
*
i dunt think that ram can go at that speed with that voltage...u may need to up the voltage a bit but worst case, it wont do either.
btw,i'm using the same ram right now. bought them since my Crucial 10th Anni was sent for RMA - got back a pair of Ballistic from Crucial...damn!

@remysix - what happened to your 10th Anni? Did you set the vdimm to high?  hmm.gif
*
dun know what actually happen...the max vdimm i used only 2.2v...and worst thing is, even my DQ6 now cannot do DC; whenever i put my module in DC mode, i will get error in memtest...but no error at all in SC...so, rmaed the Anni and once my DFI DK arrived, gonna rma my mobo plak...

from what i knw, RAM only got limited lifetime warranty, i think when the manufacturer stop producing the model of the ram we using, then there will be no more warranty...
it's always 'limited'...if not, even if u fried ur chip, they still need to replace...if the model is no longer available, they will try to replace it with the similar model...not same but similar...like my Annie, came back Ballistic...coz Annie is sorta limited edition; so, they just replace it with similar model lah
