kmarcs got a point there. Abit needs a bit of a push since its a 4-phase board.. and at 440Mhz in FSB, hmm u will need some push on the Vmch(just place a fan there to help with cooling) and also push the Vcore a bit higher.. and if possible run your SPD on auto and play your Vdimm at auto if you can, most importantly FSB:Dram ratio at 1:1.

@slayer

i agree, if anyone plans to do massive OC and HCore OC, get better PSus, no chapalang psus should prevail here.

you will need around 1.45V to be at least able to do 440Mhz on the FSB. and a bump on the Vnb and put a fan on the NB. Check your heat dissipation on the proc as well.

@ken
download cpu-z and tell me

For the definition of stepping, this is a good link to read. Find jumpingjacks post in this thread, he defines it superbly

i believe stock Hsfs can be used <1.40V on the Vcore. Anything above that is suicidal. This is for >65nm processors. Dont count 45nm procs in this equation.

yalah bro not many if any who do crazy stuff like you brows.gif but i do think that every board surely has a limit where the droop gets higher and this can only be fixed by a mod i dont intend to do, as Vdroop does help keep the proc last longer, not be hit by sudden surges of voltage. I will stick to my noob Ocing lor.. brows.gif

well what r u using to monitor the temps? by the way its c2d not c3d. And bro, when u use push-pins u have to be careful with pushing it too tight, it can also cause a problem with cooling and the TIM if the sitting is too tight. coz u need a certain displacement between the TIM and both the interfaces.. to allow flow..
