Ipad pro indeed is a very powerful device. Even the previous gen still running today without ever hiccup.. overwhelming power under the hood, more than what it needs for its usage.. except those who deal with super demanding media content and rendering, but you better off with a proper computer then. The current ipad need no more power to stay relevant for at least next 3 years.. i wonder what else apple would do in the next gen.. almost feel it doesn’t need to be another new model unless with major design changes. They just need to keep improving the software especially for productivities

Off course, it is using latest CPU with extra one core for GPU.
No surprise here, if running slower then need to be surprise.

Yup agree, and battery consumption as well.I notice this iPad Pro battery is not that last longer compare with my previous iPad Air 2. Haha!

I forgot to test whether it can run 8K HDR video or not. I got one 8K HDR documentary where none of my device can playback in proper, include LG C9 TV, Apple TV 4K and also my few years ago iCore7 laptop. Haha! If this iPad also cannot play, means they is still enhancement of CPU and GPU. Haha!

Ya, Samsung trying to match iPad price but the apps compatibility for Android tablet still not on par with iPad. So, I think majority still prefer iPad...

Agree.. no matter how good an Android tablet , still can't match iPad pro.. hehe.. that's why I bought one.
However not many apps available that can utilise the power of A12Z ..

Went to switch/senheng/Harvey Norman in vivacity Kuching all mentioned no stock. Anyone from Kuching seen any store got stock? Apple store Online order quoted target delivery from 25sep to 2oct.

Not latest CPU, same CPU model but just optimized. Haha

If dedicated media player like tv can’t play, even laptop can’t, i think it makes sense too if ipad can’t. Seems like the media is just too heavy for todays devices

It get optimize and open the last GPU core. So it is new and latest. Unless you can do that to previous one but can’t.

This is same as snapdragon 865+, to me 865+ is latest than 865 even though both is similar. rolleyes.gif

Anyway for iPad processor do is too powerful, I compare with my sister iPad Air 2 (mine already sold in year 2015) can’t feel any differences for normal usage in performance wise. Haha!

Off course not in multimedia and gaming part.

I think this is kind of low, are you benchmark after long play games or running any apps that generate a lot heat?

Hi Andrew, thanks for your reply.

I didn’t install any games in my iPad. Before benchmark, I switch on my air conditioner to 16 degree Celsius, make sure it’s 100% battery and closed all my applications running but unfortunately still kept getting the same low average. On top of that, few factory reset had been done and still getting the same low average..

I saw a lot of YouTube videos getting average 720k-750k. Despite the low benchmark score of mine, I Don’t experience any lagging or performance drop in daily usage.

Just wondering is my unit faulty? I order through Apple site

Your scores is like 3rd generation scores not current 4th generation.

TBC you sure yours is 4th generation with 2 rear camera and also a TOF 3D LiDAR scanner?

Why need 100% battery? If you immediate benchmark after full charge may lower down the scores due to charging generate heat.

I didn't closed any background apps and in room temperature of 24°c during benchmark.

Yes I’m sure mine is 4th generation and been waiting the shipment for one month from China.

I charged it to 100% and not carry the benchmark test straightaway. I took off my case as well to make sure it’s neither hot nor warm.

I just tried to benchmark it like your condition, not fully charged and no aircond. I get 640k in last two tests. Strange...

I check back your benchmark and I notice the cupric probably due to the memory, your memory scores is lower much than mine one.

I guess Apple using different type of RAM for different capacity. Apple may choose lower performance one for 128GB edition v/s 256GB edition.

Your ROM Sequential Read and Write is very low compare with mine one.

ROM Sequential Read Yours v/s Mine = 8667 v/s 23231. (mine around 3x faster than)
ROM Sequential Write Yours v/s Mine = 7201 v/s 15784. (mine around 2x faster than)
