Good eye! Yeah, I downgrade it to air 3 for the Logitech combo touch.

Really? Sold off your brand new iPad Pro? That was fast!
*
Yeap, it’s all about the touch pad keyboard. Magic keyboard + iPad weight over 1kg. Basically defy the purpose of portability. And I don’t think Apple will allow Logitech to work on another touchpad keyboard in the pro territory.
Consequently, I’ll need to bring along an extra mouse or track pad, which again defy the purpose of portability. So i ends up pulling the trigger and switch to air 3.

Me, after 3 days change back to laptop. Software is still very limited
*
So your next laptop is still a laptop.

I cannot tahan the ecosystem to make it as my daily main device for editing excel and word files. MS office apps in Windows or MacOS is still on a different league compared to the apps on the ipad. Laptops triumphs in App window resizing, number on apps open simultaneously, flexibility of the ecosystem, drag and drop of files, transfer of files to external hdd or usb and the list goes on and on. Ipados still has a very very long way before it can be claimed as a laptop replacement. Nasib i didnt buy one and just test family member’s punya for 3 days, if not i would have experienced a major regret session hahaha
Yes definitely.

Maybe u haven’t give it enough time.

It was easy for you to get a buyer so fast too! But why air 3? Just for media consumption?
*
Cause besides pro, only air 3 comes with keyboard and touchpad combo.

How about do a review about it? Would be an interesting comparison. I’m sure some of us are really attracted by the trackpad options like me. Even with a mouse, not many functions on some apps are clickable compared in laptops. Hopefully the incoming iPadOS continues to provide more features.
*
yeap, i'll sure do that. still waiting for my air 3 to arrive. most likely tomorrow.

I hated the gap, which is why I put everything on the iPad Pro instead LOL

I would’ve gone with the MacBook Air if there was not an iPad Pro type of aesthetics haha, I’m vain
*
ipad pro is an excellent choice. it's the top of the line product. especially the 120hz refresh rate. i'll miss that the most.

Just to add on, Ipad also makes a good second monitor for normal windows laptops with the app called ‘Duet’.
*
Any difference between duet and sidecar ?

Looks like a lot of MacBook Air users here. Anyone replaced their charger cable? Better to get a ori used ones or okay to get from lazada china ones? Seems there’s some jealousy among gadgets at home
*
Adapter wise, all the while I stick with original.

I replaced mine 5 times already, Apple makes good stuffs but its cable housings are crap

Too expensive after 3 times of original, I went with “OEM” eventually, first one lasted me 1 year plus, second one less than 50 ringgit
This but if you device is old like mine and the battery’s pretty much gone, I still prefer original but too rich for me to replace every 3 years
*
you mean wire "edge" which attached to the adapter starts to fall off? there's one type of low cost silicon housing which you can wrap and "melt" it.

Hi all member
just to check, how long u all get ur ipad after placed ur order.
Where you all bought screen protector? Or it pre installed?
Thanks
*
apple don't give free stuff out besides cable and plug. so no screen protector preinstalled.
depends on the model of your ipad. some options are slow, some are standard (3-5 days).

who buying the new magic keyboard?

i’m still undecided, having it in cart but... hmm RM1k++ just for a keyboard
*
when it comes to a apple product, i think price is usually not a major factor here. it's the experience and interaction that you are paying for. i personally tried out the magic keyboard, besides the weight, it's a perfect little thing to type on.
and last but not least, time to push your cart to the cashier.

One of the best thing i missed about my MBA is no need to shut down and the long battery, lasts whole day. The 2019 models are so attractive now
*
wait up for the upcoming mini LED or arm based processor version. it's gonna be a game changer.

enjoy this waiting period. ironically, it's the most exciting time. once you received it, the excitement fade out in a day or two.

just glanced through, it’s like the ipad trends, new specs with the same previous year’s price and last year’s models got discounts. Base models should be around rm3k+
heard it’s so bad that Apple has a replace programme for 4 years. it’s just thinner by 1-2mm, thickness doesn’t help with the typing sucks right?
*
Maybe it’s just me, but I’m actually enjoying this butterfly keyboard. I’ve yet to test out the new scissors keyboard.

Definitely! But im not going to do art or draw.. mostly just to write. Even like logitech crayon is half the price? Maybe adonit is closer to the price so it doesnt matter.
Im also worried about the durability, seems just by dropping on the floor will damage the apple pencil.
*
get a low price silicon case. i just got one for RM4.
