by the way guys, the ipad communicate with magic keyboard case is via the touch sensor at the back of ipad? not via bluetooth right .. I just asking if via bluetooth, it will be difficult to use on screen keyboard once we detach from the keyboard/case ..

Been using logitech folio on my old ipad and used to it. Also, think the magic keyboard is overpriced

Bought as a temporary while waiting for the magic keyboard which supposed to be launched in May but now after seeing it got the folio already.

About your 2nd question - there's no "Magic" 1st Gen, all the magic is only for latest keyboard. Previous is called keyboard folio if I'm not mistaken. The cut out hole would be different as 2018 models for one camera, now 2020 models 2 cameras (square cut out)

Today my Vktech usb-c hub arrived. Cheapest I've found at Rm99 not too bad. Phone jack works and seems to need to warm up them it's smooth. PD works but seems slower and access to HDD works! Quite happy w it.

Really wanted to but after the review, can’t fold it 180’ as a tablet to write which is important for me. And the weight!

I’ve yet to use it for calling telecon. But glad it works for listening YouTube and media. Many usb-c doesn’t have this 3.5mm anymore and those who had didn’t work. I connected ext HDD so pendrive shouldn’t be a problem. It’s a snap for 100+Mb files but playing through the hub to HDD is twitchy. 
I’m looking at mobile & on the move use more. Desktop use can always get proper KB. I need to get 50-50 between writing & typing times.
- I like the idea 180 fold and use tablet, and then back as cover.
- It’s smaller than standard size by a bit but width same as 11”. Makes sense when on the move. You have very big hands?
- Light and keeps the iPad <1kg combined. It’s still lighter, looks nicer overall than a surface which is pretty high standards (minus the 1-sided track pad and backlit). 
- it’s made of some kind of synthetic “linen” surface, don’t see many reviews mentioned about this but realized it makes a lot of sense as it has to be flexi enough to be pressed into it. It’s not super clicky (like scissors switch la haha) but gets the job done well. Well designed engineering and production. Very well matched for the 11”.
- viewing angle slightly upright but then again have to balance the tilting weight, can’t be too heavy on the top as it’s already top heavy. Don’t think even w the magic you can get the feel of using it on the bed like a MBA haha. 

Edit: if I add Coverbuddy casing, should be able to open w single finger ala laptop! Hahaha evil laugh...

One deal breaker for me on the magic (besides the budget) is the viewing angle. I’m paying rm1k, and still can’t get the viewing angle I want (due to top heavy), I can’t afford that. Don’t mind to get it as full fledge KB even as desktop use since a good KB is rm300-500 already so paying extra rm600-800 for magic makes a bit of sense. Haha

Haha gives your excuse to upgrade right? Don’t think I would change or upgrade my iPad in the next 3-5 years. Maybe Magic keyboard 2!
