hi can i ask if z flip comes with pre existing screen protector?

All Samsung phone come with pre-installed screen protector

can i ask you guys how are your folds and flips doing? any problems after a couple months / a year of use? thinking to jump into this fold and flip form factor but scared the phone cannot last, i typically use phones for 2-4 years.

When I saw 1 youtuber daily use the inner screen for 7-8 months, the screen in the middle has tiny straight cracks, really scare me.
There in US got free screen replacement within 1 year while we still need to pay some.

So my opinion for people that want to use longer than 1 year, I may not suggest this foldable phone.
I saw some people selling their Z Flip that has a problem screen suddenly blank, out of warranty some more. It turns on with sound but screen is dead.

This foldable screen is still new in market. Waiting for it to mature will take more than 5 years at least.
Better take S21 Ultra or other flagship phone like Mi 11 Ultra/ROG 5. Even you don't gaming, ROG 5 is really smooth and fast for daily use.

Z Flip does have screen protector but it's really fit like you it don't use any SP. You bought brand new sealed?

11 months using z-flip. so far so good. phone fell down from pocket high twice. daily flip around 50-70 times, i abused it kaw2 even flip-smashed it hard many times. playing some games on it (PUBG, Among Us, Stumble Guy). got few soft scratches(like u scratch using ur fingernail on paper) but barely noticeable since i always keep it closed. no screen protector though

i bought it sealed from maxis on the first day it launched in MY, official SME warranty. if u talking about soft layer directly on the surface of the screen, yes it is there by default.

but extra screen protector which few countries like US and europe that was given free, they have hole/u-shaped cutout on the camera hole. on mine doesn't have, just full layer from top to bottom.

Ya only the soft layer. I thought it's not recommended to add another SP coz it will pull the soft layer over time. This Z Fold 2 I also not dare to change the soft layer, just use as it is.

thanks for the advice, while i typically use phones for longer, can understand these folding phones will have problems sooner than regular phones, just need to be aware of the risk. and probably should avoid 2nd hand units. maybe wait for the next gen folding phones that should be coming in a couple of months.

after using the z fold 2, it is really hard going back to a normal candy bar phone. Just got too used to the unfolded screen

Would it be too bulky to carry around because of its thickness?

I have been using it as my primary daily phone for since Nov 2020. So far so good.
The thickness did not bother me.

The only thing I needed to get use to was the weight and the lack of S-pen coming from the Note 9.
The only time that I really notice the weight would be taking long phone calls holding the phone to my ear. Short phone calls are fine.
