congrat to those member who got their Fold 7 !

May I ask, is anyone here signup for Celcom Fold 7 plan, how is your status ?

I sign up on 10 July, and still no update until today.

(BTW, Celcom plan is quite attractive as well, RM6264 for 512GB model, plus a free Galaxy Watch8 (should be 40mm, bluetooth) (for my mobile plan)

Hi, is anyone here can tell me, is the Fold 7 is Dual Sim card slot ? Is the eSim also available (how many eSim?) ? As GSMarena mention there is 2 versions, both has Dual Sim slot but one has “Multiple eSim” ?

My Fold 7 has 2 sim slots in the sim tray, eSim is also available, I think practically you can have quite a few eSim on the device.

But only 2 can be active at any given time, given that our phone only has 2 IMEI (so 2 cell radios?)

Seems like mines also got updated (but i did register using my wife old zflip3 last week).

But in setting, it did not reflect.

Since I also check in Samsung website to try buy Care+ it shown "already registered", so I think it is legit.

But may I know, what is the term and conditions for 3 years Csre+ ? Is it including accidentally damages ? How is the fees for each repair ?

Edited : * When check on support page, the warranty end on 2027 (only 2 years?)

Is the Samsung Care+ is (Samsung warranty = 2 years + accidentally damage 1 years ?)

Sorry, but I am confusing now. Even download the T&C from their website did not provide much clear info. And the T&C stated the Care+ is only 2 years maximum.

Now I see your concern... I guess we follow Care+. Maybe 2 years Manufacturer + 3rd year insurance

Under Samsung Product Support page, same as you, it's 2 years only
[attachmentid=11516894]

https://my.careplus.co/portal/login
Care+ I do see it's written 3 years w/ following
Samsung Care+ 3 Years Device Protection for Accidental & Liquid Damage and Extended Warranty with Device Support Package

Should be fine

Hi everyone (if any one is looking for a zFold7 case), here is what I got after trying few cases.

This is Nillkin Super Frosted, it got 2 version, 1 is with pen (just normal softpen) , 1 is without. When my first purchase I select the Pen series, but after few days found non-pen version from other seller so I return the pen version.

First, this case is very thin while still has good protection and good built quality, also it is cheap (about RM72+ after Shopee coupon). It also has hinge cover (with magnet inside to keep it close), and magsafe magnet at the back. You can put any magnetic attachments on it.

The front cover has pre-install adhesive tape, but I worried it will peal off my original anti-reflactive SP (purchase RM89 from Samsung, also, very good quality), I removed the adhesive tape.

It come with spare adhesive tape (blue area) so instead of put it on blue area, I use it on side, up, and bottom. (Red area, see pic).

When you unfold it, the hinge cover will "slide" the left portion of front cover and make it moving abit, thats why I remove the original position of the adhesive tape, if not it may peal off the screen protector. But if you don't apply any adhesive, the front cover will come off by the push of that hinge cover. After applied the adhesive, the front cover is very sturdy.

Then come to the stand, most of it I found was too thick or heavy, not holding on certain angle, but this little stand from Baseus (for only RM15) work perfectly while in small sizes and light weight. It also can use 4 style (portrait and landscape on both fold and unfolded, with some adjustments). Provided you stick the stand on the area that same as mine, it hold up very well.

With the stand stick on below position, not only it solve the "goyang" issue when on the table, it also don't block the wireless charging function, it can still charges wirelessly.

The thickness of this case is same as my previous S23 Ultra with transparent case. And the weight ? Just 10g more, included the Basues stand ! (Total 265grams total).

Above is my opinion. Thank you.

Actually, does the Fold 7 come standard with 2 years manufacturer warranty? Or 1 year? Not sure if Samsung clearly states this anywhere, or I've missed it.

In my previous Fold 6, it just came with the standard 1 year manufacturer warranty.
*
I donno ? My last experience with care+ is back to Fold3, that come with only 1 year of protection.

Because when I check in Member support section, it did show the warranty end on 2027, thats why I am confused.

Seems like some brand store are providing 20% discount for Fold 7 in Shopee?

Better deal than Pre-order right ?

The 256GB is selling RM5979, 512GB is RM6387.

Wow. Pitaka theme, nice. 😊
I miss those days I think Fold 2/3/4/5 whereby they had factory-fitted film applied to the frame of the Fold. 🫠
Quite similar and Pre Order can be better under certain circumstances. With proper voucher stacking, CC rebates, trade in bonus and also special rebates, the Pre Order can be around RM6k or less. And best part is the 3 years full Care+ warranty FOC for existing Z series users - this alone worth around RM1,5k (though it can be purchased at Samsung for RM999 now, but not sure promo until when)  ☺️
Haha. I did see a few 256gb Fold 7 variant being sold online. Guess these are Unpacked Night units, as I don't think a regular buyer would consider the 256gb since the 512gb seems to provide better value. 😁
*
True also, I feel lucky to be one of those who get the 3Y Care+. But the current discount of Fold 7 is quite attractive, I remember last year the Fold 6 have not so much discount, right ?

that's cheap considering the launch price. I sold my s22u with scratched glass for 1.1k via fb marketplace. However, really understand the hassle finding and dealing with buyer.

Do you try put up in Carousell ? I usually sell in there, few years already sold multiple device there. Meet all buyer are good and polite.

QUOTE(screwedpeep @ Oct 13 2025, 11:01 PM)
Those who upgraded from fold6 to fold7, how's the screen flatness in unfold mode? Is it the same, or bit better?

Last time i use fold6 cannot get the screen flat anymore after some time.
*
Hi, I assume you are mean the phone lay flat when unfold, am I right ?

To me, I just found that the Fold 7 actually like to be unfold, the screen will be flat and the hinge seems to be more "relax" during unfold. So, every night I let it unfold when charging overnight. I can see the screen is more flat and the hinge feel better.

Because I saw those demo Fold 7 at store has less visible crease, that because it stay unfold all the time. And I also observed the screen protector is very good quality even after some abuse within 2 months (see from those Demo phone in store). Even mines barely notice any scratches or dent after 2 months + using.

The inner screen is more durable than I expected, you can feel how sturdy especially when typing. Compare to other foldable, which I look them in store, their screen gone really bad sign like dent by finger's nail, peal off, and scratch everyehere.

I finally folded and got myself a 512gb unit for under 5.5k since 11.11 deal was too good to not fold to...

Anyone here using Nilkin Super Frosted case?

I need a case to use for 2 months ish till Dbrand Grip case gets shipped
*
Hi, I am the one using Nilkin Super Frosted (brought about RM78 at Shopee), Use it since 1st day own the Fold 7 (2 Aug 2025), this case fit nicely and most important is how slim it is with the hinge protection. Drop 2 times, the case and phone seems still fine. But the downside is the hinge is magnet type, so it will "glide" the hinge little bit so some area of the hinge may have hairline scratch after month or two but it is still better than naked without protection.

One thing well noted is, since the hinge "stick" itself when you folded by magnet inside the hinge protector cover and a top layer of plastic sticker, overtime the double seletape inside will become unstick and the magnet come out, lead to the hinge cover will not stick with the hinge.

Then, you can just fixe it with super glue that glue the magnet back into the hinge cover and then it will be fine. (I have glued both up and bottom after it come out, now over a month already, still stick good)

I have compare this case with other more expensive case like Spigen, this is cheaper and still has great protection. Most important is slim, most 360 protection case like Araree is very thick especially near the hinge cover joint.

Also, last note is the front cover, this case also has very accurate cutting design, so it fit very nice BUT, I change the adhesive stripe (included spare in box) from the left part to right bezel , upper part (near spearker grill) and lower part, so the left bezel is still flexible (moving), (please review the pictures below, I stick the adhesive in red color mark, the blue color mark has adhesive that factory installed, but I remove it)

WHY ?

Because I have Samsung Anti-Reflective screen protection installed, so if I put the adhesive near the left bezel of this cover, I afraid it will "stick" on the screen protector and later it peal off the screen protector since the bezel is so thin, it will move.

So, rather than put the adhesive there (it already put there when you got the case, but I remove it) I put all 3 side with adhesive (not plan to remove front case unless it spoil or want to remove SIM card) , if you often remove SIM card, you still need to open front cover, so I rather stick that 3 side to reduce the risk of being damage my screen protector.

Even the bezel seems flexible sometimes I grab the phone, it did not harm my screen protector, and the front cover fit nicely and firm even after 3 months of heavy used (the screen protector is full of scratch now).

I strongly recommend this cover.
