I took creatine when I was into weighlifting few years back... about 3-4 months... and recently to increase my endurance in cycling...
however, I always have this killer muscle cramp whenever I'm on creatine... the pain is unusual and debilitating... so that is one of creatine side effects if you are unlucky enough like me

Give your body some time to adapt to the new limits. Also when u take creatine must drink more water. Anyhow, human body very complex so no one can guarantee. If you already did the above and still uncomfortable then best bet is to stop taking. Good luck.

I'm 53 years old and started creatine when I was 34 or 35 year old working out in the gym... I did the loading phase and and continuously taking it for years... the cramp come not during the exercise... sometimes when watching tv.. and i want to get up to get a drink... and it hit like a hammer... at different muscles.... sometimes leg muscles, sometimes chest... and so on... when I started cycling few years back, I was thinking to improve my supplement for this type of endurance exercise... same thing happen... so maybe it is just me...

Creatine phosphate is actually an important element in restoring one’s ATP, one can ingest creatine through both supplements and food but more creatine does not equate to higher strength.
It is IIRC, more functional towards fast twitch athletes and not as effective if any, when it comes to slow twitch, endurance athletes.
