May be you can consider OLED if it is suitable for you. I have seen it went as low as RM8000 for 65" for past year's model. A past year's model OLED picture quality should still beat latest X95H anytime.

ic. thanks for the recommendation. will look around OLED old models as well. biggrin.gif

The X95 series from the past few years have been crap , so you are not missing anything .

The X-Wide angles implementation bring more harms to Sony TV than benefits , significantly reducing Contrast ratings .

X95 series have been receiving very good reviews to date.

but i feel one thing that is probably might be good with x95h is that it has higher peak brightness which will probably help when it comes to static HDR10, Wont make it so dark due to the limited peak brightness which affected the tone mapping. At least should be ok for anything graded up to 1000 nits. Because of the limited peak brightness of X90H, I notice content in HDR10 is deemer most of the time compared to same contect but in Dolby Vision which correctly instruct the tv to adjust the tone curve.

yeah. X95 series are really not bad.

I was at Sony Centre the Curve, only has the A8J in 55" on display at the moment.

Also, I am thinking of getting a Sony Blu-Ray player UBP-X700 to replace my current player, hoping it can play codec 265 movies.

Any comment on the player?

It is cheaper to buy a Xbox as blu ray player.

Thanks for the suggestion. Does Xbox require a hdmi 2.1 connection?
*
only the newest xbox series x supports hdmi 2.1 but that one is only needed if u are using for gaming.
for watching blu ray discs, just the cheapest Xbox One S console can do the job already.

most of the current movies are still shot in 24fps. u totally do not need hdmi 2.1 to watch any blu ray disc.

it can play 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray support with HDR as well.

it can be used to stream netflix, amazon video etc. too.
