From my experience with 85" x90H, with HDR on, it IS very bright.
Sometimes it so bright that FALD is not handling it well, I can see blooming, subtitles can cause the dark bar at the bottom to have minor light leak.
And top left can see some blooming on Netflix HDR movies too.
Do u mean x90h has poor local dimming? have you tried setting like the video below? many ppl were satisfied with the setting. They told no more blooming issues.
guys i just bought 85" x9000 how to play movie from usb ya?
anybody know? my pendrive detected by the TV but empty folder
Need to wait longer. Lol. The system read USB drive/hard disk very slow. Even my 2017 LG OLED can load USB drive faster than this tv. Other option u can install third partry File Manager from Playstore. Or buy Nvidia Shield TV. Lol
BTW, enjoy ur TV. I love this TV so much. 85in truly awesome. Watching Mandalorian in Dolby Vision very gooding. Incredible black level. Just waiting for new firmware update (HDMI 2.1). Why la Sony MY so slow???

My 85" updated with asia pacific firmware. There is 4k 120p and eARC. Works fine on my 4k desktop pc and ps4 pro. So far Havent notice any blur text. Will wait for the 2.1hdmi cable and ps5 arriving december to check out..
