My research to support is currently at "any disease", expect to be helping on the research for covid-19, but currently I'm assigned on a project regarding cancer research. Is there a way for me to choose to focus on covid-19 now since this is probably the most important right now? Or I didn't get the project because everyone is already working on it and they don't need my help for that anymore? If that's the case then I'll just continue on the project I'm assigned to.

Hey there, don't be discourage at the moment. We don't have full control on which type of work unit should we get. But certainly, COVID-19 projects are high priority project for now. It is still not 100% you will be assigned one, but most likely you will get one, oftenly. Every work unit regardless on which type, is count on contribution towards medical research. So just complete whatever you got. Refer to the FAQ and video below:

thats the problem when too many otaku in the world were force to stay at home...
my gpu does not kick in unless i choose medium, any way to make it works on light?
medium makes my cpu temp goes to 90c even when just 2 out of 4 cores are working for my cpu

Unfortunately GPU folding is off at light setting. You might want to set it at medium for GPU folding to run.
You can open the Advanced Control to manually Fold/Finish/Pause each CPU/GPU folding slot for more control.
90'c, probably better cooling solution needed.

I find that whenever I can't get a WU, simply restarting the client works for me. Usually will get a WU quite soon after restarting the client.

If you use advanced control, you can manually turn on the GPU

yes both cpu and gpu got work unit
now gpu is pause waiting for idle

Weird, supposed to fold when you click fold on the gpu slot
