I think it is becoz M0 stepping. If L2 stepping if reach 3GHz already need vcore increase over 1.4v

fesick, see ur ratio, 5:8 and ur mem speed show 515MHz already. Sure cannot get more than 2.6GHz lor. choose 1:1 divider.

At that speed I think the vcore should be more than 1.4v. hmm.gif

The review from Tomshardware shown that 3.2GHz needs 1.5v already.

Usually for E2160 if 1:1 setting should be ok at 3.2(400x8) @ 44412/55515 (value ram). The ram also need at least 2.0vdimm.

Haha, just want to let him lower down the multiplier. If his ram cant go further then (356x9) should be ok then.

For me value board which is under RM400 will be Biostar P35, Abit IP-35e, and Gigabyte P35-S3, those are capable of doing 3GHz C2D. nod.gif

Usually stock cooling may only cool till 3Ghz. Depends on luck. Above that usually needs aftermarket HSF.

@andyx517, u also need luck. Not everyone here were lucky enuf to get 3GHz on stock vcore.

Kinda same with L2 stpping Id been used on my E4300 before. 3GHz already being walled no matter what voltage u supply.
