Yeah, since 939, its hardly to talk bout hotter intel platform. Between, I had read somewhere that the E2XXX series will have new revision. Is it releases yet in the market?

That is becoz of SpeedStep setting in ur bios. When oc, u should aware those things like temperature, voltage, power usage, air flow, etc..

Try using 32M instead, its difficul to differentiate for 1M cos too small.

Basically for gaming need, go for more cache capacity. From what I read,
Pentium-Dual core(which already reduced cache to 1MB) just on par with Athlon X2. So better go for AMD(for cheap overclocking rig). |

Seems like Intel want to replace all current stepping to G0.. Must wait until at least september to see the stepping around though.

AMD X2 can easily reach 3GHz if ur RAM can easily reach 1000MHz DDR2..

Netburst architecture will be better than conroe if the clock speed is 90~100% more. What a shame...

Maybe ur FSB is high and ur mem stuck at 420MHz(DDR2-840). For me, my Patriot value reach DDR2-1000 @ 56618 @ 2.2v while set FSB to only 333MHz
because of fsb wall. |

I'm using dual channel, does ur single channel will oc better? Anyway the bandwidth already halved and performance will drop significantly.

I think nowadays should at least go for dual core for basic gaming and multitasking coz already tried celeron D 347 on Vista, quite annoying.

I think its better than L2. My E4300 L2 on 965P cant go beyond 3.1GHz stable no matter I adjust the voltage..
