so it is concluded that the average m0 stepping wall is at 3ghz

and that p35 chipset can do 448 fsb easily with an e2140 and it can be done up to 495 with an intel e6850.

at first i manage to bump my E2160 to 3.0Ghz !!! Stable !!! but after than i tried to go 3.33Ghz (which is FSB 370 X 9)... but my RIG won't boot !!!! so i lower down to 3.25Ghz and everything works fine. i'm using Kingston value ram 667 and everything AUTO. I also never touch my Vcore... Everything AUTO !!!

Lucky im not the only one with E2160 ! now im happy to have u guys here in forum to discuss with !

planning to get E2160 what motherboard is suitable for it and good overclockable and not so expensive

i was overclocking my e2140 with my 965-s dark
but it wont go above 250fsb
i increased the voltage (VTT, CPU and DRAM, and NB)
but the dram speed can only go up to 710mhz
haha

i guess its my ram cannot go more (MUSHIN VALUE ENHANCED 667MHZ)
that is 5-5-5-15
i tried to tighten it to 3-3-3-9 but it will only get to POST
shucks

really want to see my e2140 go to at least 3.0ghz
now only 2.2 and no more

so the coretemp readings are the correct ones?

CPU temp is the temperature measured by the sensor at the motherboard, which is below the CPU die.
As heat transferred along from the CPU die (is that what we call die? or core?) to IHS > Heatsink Base > Heatpipe > Fins > Air
When the heat reached heatpipe, temperature is way slower than the CPU temp unless u have hsf with HDT, maybe the difference won't be that big.
Thus, what u feel on the heatpipe should be way lower than the CPU temp.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

This is getting so frustrating. I;ve already followed your steps. disable it. cpu host = 200 . system multiplier = 3.33 which equals 667 . SO basically its 200 x 8 = 1600 which is the default but i set manual but still will not boot up. ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH. I really do not know whats wrong anymore.

Do I need 2 stick of rams to overclock or 1 will actually work.

guys, just a quick check, any M0 user here? if there is, how far can it fetch?

yup, mine is mo e2140 too...  what's ya highest clock with stock voltage (1.325v)? i'm currently burnin d chip, not doin so well (2.8GHz) but just a fore play as i'm still nuts in intel oc... 
ic, thanks bro. one thing i notice bout this 2140 is regardless voltage, be it stock or way up to 1.375, d load temp is alot diff then idle temp (usin coretemp 0.95.4). on load it can go as high as 60'C, while on idle d temp read is just only 30 (+-3)'C. is this normal? 

btw, i'm runnin d chip on old skool 965p ds3 (rev 3.3) board with a pair of d9dcl, d chip cooled by katana2 used on my old rig b4, kinda outdated... 

Currently at 3120 MHz (390x8) at 1.376v. Am using a CM silence on it (Rm45 ! ) but I have fans everywhere on the board. Idle is 37c. OCCT/Orthos load pushes it up to about 67c. The nice thing about M0 is that the max Tcase is 73c, so you can push it up a bit higher before the protection kicks in and lowers everything.

I have two fans blowing on the RAM (just removed them from old processor HSFs), one fan on the processor MOSFETs, and one 8cm case fan above the NB. Also I have EIST, C1E and TM2 on so the divider drops when I'm not gaming.
Load is 67c here... but then max Tcase on the M0 stepping is 73c, so I still have room. Can't do much higher w/o pushing voltage though.

hi, what BIOS version is on you guys P35 DS3 motherboard? I faced a problem, I can only push my E2140 to 350*8. cant boot up with anything more than 360*8 even with 1.4vCore. I'm using Crucial value ram (D9) and I did set the ram timing to 5-5-5-15.  what is the problem? would updating the BIOS would solve my problem? currently F5 BIOS with my motherboard.

same like mine, but mine can't pass through 390 x 8 although had loosen the timing and pump 1.5V vcore.
confirm not caused by temperature though. the RAM divider had been set to 1:1 but still cant pass 390FSB.
maybe got fsb-walled processor..

F4? now latest is F9. or should I try the latest?  I set it in BIOS. any different if I set using memset?

try using 1 stick on every single slot, still the same result.
wanna ask, my friend said it maybe caused by ram slot voltage short.
is there such thing?

i thought E2160 easier to reach 3ghz than E2140?
