I'm sure there're ultra-weight performance based laptop. Somehow, those desktop replacement models tend to be heavier.

It's much better if Dell could offer or give 7200rpm HDD. So far, there's still no promotion on FREE HDD upgrade such as larger capacity or faster rpm.

If I were you, I won't be taking such risk. Those paddings are meant for absorbing shocks and protection from scratches.

Laptop or 2.5" HDD comes with either 4xxx, 5400 or 7200 rpm. 7200rpm variant just becomes popular these few years back when mobile users demand for performance.
