I honestly don't know how to improve my GPU performance .Never did anything with it except updated the driver. But now i realise that my driver is outdated with the latest release of beta driver 175.70 etc..

Just curious. Does Inspiron has the same Mylar sealed Keyboard and FULL magnesium frame and chassis as the VOSTRO line? cos i can see there's a small gap on the right side of the keyboard, and i could even see leaked blue led light from the status indicator in the body. I am now using a keyboard protector just in case something happen to my beloved lappy.

QUOTE(¤~¤DaViD¤~¤ @ Jun 6 2008, 10:33 PM) Guys pls comment about my specs. Wow-Intel c2d T7250 -vista home basic (I will manually change to ultimate) 15.4 Widescreen WXGA+ (1280x800) display with TrueLife -3GB DDR2 Ram -160GB SATA HD (free upgrade from promotion) -Nvidia 8600M GT 256 DDR2 -Dell 1505 Wireless-N mini-Card (should I choose dell 1505 or 1490 wireless?what diff? ) -1 year dell care RM4039-300(from promotion -300 for over 4000) total=RM3739 .. My friend tell me that 1gb x 2 is faster compare to 2gbx1 + 1gb x1 when using vista. or he is wrong? if it is good built then I might order it this sunday GOOd specs.and price much better than what i have paid for before. What i read before on some reviews,DELL wireless can be a little bit more difficult to get a successful connection compared to Intel wireless. For games i think WXGA is fine. but for better photos viewing, WXGA+ recommended. I use WXGA because i intend to games. Added on June 6, 2008, 11:15 pm QUOTE(¤~¤DaViD¤~¤ @ Jun 6 2008, 11:06 PM) will buy online, might call them b4 make payment. I got question, I didnt see any bluetooth option in customize..does it mean it don't have any bluetooth? Most Dell nowadays got pre-installed Bluetooth.maybe u can call them to verify this. edit: i got confuse with the wireless network card...got 2 options ...don't know how to pick This post has been edited by elwwmatrix: Jun 6 2008, 11:15 PM |

QUOTE(alexnvidia @ Jun 9 2008, 07:13 PM) sweet.. so that keyboard cover is a thin layer of flat transparent soft plastic right? because from your picture, i dont see the plastic layer forms the shape of the keys of your keyboard, so i assume it has to be flat. does it affect your typing experience? and how about the noise created during typing? where did u get it from and how much does it cost? (im asking too many questions at a time Yes. Very thin layer, and the typing experience are great, I can type silently, as the silicon protector dampen the click clack from the keyboard. The silicon is very soft,it attached itself to surface like magnet. I bought it from the Computer shop here in town for RM12. but maybe at Lowyat can get cheaper. I have attached few photos from the protector box.Attached thumbnail(s) |

Dell studio brand seems very thin and light. whether it the cooling system is good enough for a dedicated powerful GPU if it comes with it.

The GF ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 for the new Inspiron Studio is much lower ranking than the current Nvidia 8400M GS. This post has been edited by elwwmatrix: Jun 26 2008, 07:51 PM |

Oh my.my Windows experience index is reduced when i upgrade to the newer Nvidia Driver 175.97. I think i better revert back to the 175.70 , got more video settings option.

QUOTE(jaaway @ Jun 29 2008, 05:26 PM) guys i am thinking of getting this model of notebook. whats your feedback about this laptop? Is it too outdated? will a new model come out anytime soon? Please help. You can't go wrong with this Inspiron 1520. with this kind of functionality and price, you could compare to others within the same price category range. 1520 excelled in most areas. |
