Programmers create apps and programs to replace many jobs in the world.

Then AI rises and will replace programmers themselves eventually to create programs by itself.


But yet many programmers are still brainless and desperate for jobs that they would take jobs creating products that are meant to replace everyone and themselves eventually.

AI and automation is the way to progress.

Maybe it’s time to rethink employment-based economics. If you can build a world where machines serve humans, there’s no point to force people to work so they can pay bills.

The issue is with increased productivity, a lot of people will be out of work, since manual jobs are all automated. Guess something like the below will happen in the future..

While automation will take some jobs away, it'll also open up newer job avenues. We are still a long way off till AI can replace jobs.

unlike programming which has codes and codes and codes of shit, and when the program works, the output works


for AI, the output works. the program? we dont really understand why it works, just that we know that, if we can feed the AI with insane amount of unique and good data, it will work. it just works.

lol dafaq people do understand how neural net works mathematically if not how to create one in the first place , its just too complicated (higher dimension than 3d) to be comprehended by human mind

but for example, when we created the neural net DeepMind AI which beat alpha go just by playing by itself, no programmer can understand what strategy deep mind employed nor "how" it thinks.

its just that deepmind AI is so good, it can beat the best go computer 100 to 0, and that the programmers just:

1) Thought it the rules of the game and win/lose condition
2) Let it play by itself X times.
3) Run above for 3 days.

and within 7 days, it beat the best computer alpha go, which beat the best player in the world.

the programmers or players wants to analyse deep mind, neural nets is such that, there is no way you can extract how the computer is thinking nor how it strategises. its just that, it wins games. it just wins.


Similarly, when we solve self driving, or when we use AI to allocate uber drivers jobs and delivery paterns, the neural net cannot explain why they work and why they are so efficient. it just works.

And when something goes wrong, you dont "go into the code and fix the code". you basically label them as wrong and pump more wrong data into the system, and it will "recallibrate its matrices" and eventually fix itself.

don't understand the mathematics nvm, because i don't either, but in summary its a reward trial and error system where the ai makes each individual decision based on the 'reward' it get from the decision made

imagine the process is reiterated 1 million times to generate the best optimal decision, a human mind cannot comprehend it, but a computer could.

automation is the future. less error, non stop. So your stuff that you buy become cheaper. Human cost are going get more expensive, if you don want to buy stuff at high prices, automation is the answer.

Human cost might get cheaper or even worthless if it can be replaced with AI.

it will depends on tax and operating cost. Automation runs production non stop for extended periods, they wont complain about salary or take leave. Just maintain the machine and you are good to go. Government probably need to increase tax based automation % of a company because less ppl have job and pay tax, and government need to tanggung them via Universal Basic Income

from a company view, they save a lot. From a government view, pros are higher production and less hidden cost, cons are unemployment rate, at least until a switch of education course regarding new possible job fields become commonplace. Old job fields go but new job fields will enter.

You're forgetting that wealth and capital are highly concentrated. The top 5% controls, oh, let's say 50% of the world wealth... I don't think new job fields are needed with automation. There's going to major unemployment and displacement in the future. In the past, this might result in a revolution. Of course with AI overlords and robotics, maybe a revolution will not be feasible.

For the wealthy and capitalists, this is all well and good. For the rest, well
