rclxm9.gif i saw it too, both S20 really hnnnghhh wub.gif but $$$$$$$

The good thing is both can change resolution unlike Note10 fixed @FHD, but the 120Hz i dun see any difference at all ?! hmm.gif
*
Is the display set up to run 120hz when you tried? Noticeable difference would be when you swipe up and down, left and right. It's very much smoother than the standard 60hz. I also don't think many apps would support 120hz right now. So if that particular app only supports 60hz, the display automatically switches the to 60hz when you are using the app.

Benchmark has released and shows that exynos is inferior when come to multi core performance. For battery performance is still unknown.

Mind to share the link to the mentioned benchmark site?

Not only that, with that kind of pricing, storage and exynos chipset, I would say the majority of buyers would be the hardcore fans. You would see the crowds during the weekend. Now its still a bit too early. This is not Apple. Even the Iphone don't pull such crowds already nowadays.

It's quiet because of the corona virus epidemic going around bro.

You could tell the difference if you have used a phone with a higher refresh rate and then switch back to a 60hz phone.

I preorder s20+ from the official samsung website on the day it launches,
I received another confirmation today saying that rather than getting only the earbuds+ for free, it now comes along with a free wireless charger as well,

hopefully the wireless charger they gave support fast wireless charging...
*
Yes. The charger would support fast charging. But it still would not be as fast as wired fast charging.

personally i find it quite annoying to carry a heavy brick along.  i don't think it's too much to ask a top tier phone to last entire day usage without needing a topup charge
*
My previous S10+ could last more than a day's usage even with heavy usage of whatsapp, waze, surfing and calls. Im very sure the S20/s20+ would do much better with a larger battery and better exynos proc.

Hmmm... the s20/s20+ camera performs better than the S20 Ultra?.. hmm.gif Hard to believe as the S20U has better cameras overall.

QUOTE(ohman @ Feb 26 2020, 07:43 AM)
Whats the use of snapdragon chip if all you do is posting about exynos in lowyat android s10,note 10, s10 lite and s20 thread?

Give it a rest and give me a break.

We get you, SD > exynos, we know, we pay top dollar for phone, we know.

Edit:  yes we know, 1 year old s10 and 6 months old note 10 is slower than 1 week old s10 lite. We know how a new phone feels, yes we do.

Inbe4 factory reset your s10 exynos and try again.

Inbe4 battery drain, OMG my 1 year old battery is worse than 1 week old battery. Ok, noted.

Chill la bro.... our bro here is just giving his opinion. Nothing wrong with that. This is a discussion forum on the S20. biggrin.gif

Yeah....I don't carry powerbank as well. I used S8 before and can last me whole day whatsapping  , wechatting and a bit of YouTube. Unless one is a Heavy  gamer than I don't know what to say la. In office can charge the phone ma. As for using Google map and waze, most car now comes with wireless charge pad, so really don't see this is an issue.
*
Yeah.... if we can make old phones last a day of usage, why cant we do the same with newer, better and more advanced phones with a larger capacity battery. Personally I don't prefer charging my phone more than one a day.

QUOTE(starship1 @ Feb 26 2020, 10:28 AM)
Yes , it is a discussion forum but that bro of yours is trolling all over the place by saying , probably a hundred times,  on the same bad thing about his own bad experience with Exynos.
This will affect potential buyers mindset in the S10s and S20s thread whose usage makes little or no difference whether on SD or Exynos.

One man's poison is another man's meat. We all believe it  is okay to give insights and strong opinions some of the times but not "repeating " all over the place.

Peace
*
Relax. I think he has gotten the point already. Just that he is stating his mind when its comes to comparing both the Procs. Anyway, lets move on to constructive discussion about the new S20/S20+ and S20U.

QUOTE(not timid and slow @ Feb 26 2020, 01:26 PM)
my current s10 cannot last 1 day of usage (15 hours). i don't play games,  mostly use for web browsing

Maybe a worn out battery or a wakelock or an app is draining your battery. Have you checked?

Any type of UV Glue type of TG would be good for the phone as this is the only type that has no "hollow" effects on the curve screen and also the only type which can properly stick to the curved screen.

No problem. I'm very sure you guys got your point across. Let us all focus back on the discussion of the phone shall we....

After you take delivery of your phone, head to any Samsung Service Centres and purchase your screen crack protection. There is one at One Utama new wing.

SME covers crack etc within the warranty period. I experienced dropping my old S9 within the month of purchase and they happily replaced not just the screen, but also the body since the aluminum frame had scuffs and dents.
It's FREE. No hassle compared to talking to telco employees.

Oh btw, I went to Samsung The Gardens branch and it was repaired with 2 hours.
*
No bro. SME does not cover screen crack within warranty period. Screen crack protection will only be covered if you have purchase Samsung Protection Plus at an extra cost to you or it was included in your purchase package. I don't see Samsung Protection Plus being offered with PO of S20/S20+/S20U this round.

I'm not sure how much it would cost for the S20/S20+/S20U. But it was either Rm199 or Rm209 the last round for the S10+.

Tbh oneplus ui probably the best in terms of smoothness among android.
Used to have oneplus one before switching to s7 edge and was surprised to feel the s7 edge a bit "sluggish" compared to the oneplus sweat.gif but of course oneplus drawbacks is that they can't seem to get the camera right.
Now on Samsung train since s7 edge broke change to note 9 and now waiting for s20 ultra biggrin.gif probably will switch to other brand after s20 ultra.
*
Oneplus Oxygen is best in terms of near to stock vanilla android, fluidity, minimal battery drain and customization capability compared to vanilla android.

Allegedly even worse on the 20+ with 5 hours of SOT lol. Now I’m thinking of cancelling my order
*
To be fair, 5 hours SOT (depending on how and what you use your phone) would be quite fair. If Samsung One UI comes with a 5G Toggle Button to off 5G (there is not 5G network in Malaysia), I am pretty sure the battery life will improve. I don't think this issue doesn't warrant a cancellation. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(notmycupoftea @ Feb 27 2020, 09:35 AM)
Can you cancel your order? Where did you place your preorder?

Based on T&C it says "Customer is not allowed to cancel the Pre-Order, change the selected device colour or model and the selected outlet once Customer has successfully completed and confirmed the transaction via iPay88."
*
Nope you cant. Your Rm500 would be considered to be burned.

Ikr. Samsung stated it clearly that cancellation is not allowed. Perhaps he/she is okay with RM500 burnt?

I was wondering if he/she is buying from other vendor which offers a more lenient set of T&C.
*
There was a forummer who managed to cancel because he pre-ordered from an Online dealer through shopee or Lazada IINM. So if you made your pre-order with Samsung SME direct then no refund. I don't mind if you pass me the Rm500 ticket though. tongue.gif

QUOTE(bitebug @ Feb 27 2020, 03:12 PM)
Non-refundable deposit. So yeah 500 will be burned. Much better than burning 4k though. Another solution would be using the unit and selling it for a minor loss. Less headache. laugh.gif

I know a lot of casual users won’t really mind the Exynos processor but for a power user, it’s kind of a nightmare.
The reviewer stated he was using Wifi. Might be the 5G chip “helping” the battery drain but based on Samsung’s track history with the Exynos chips, I wouldn’t wanna keep my hopes too high.
*
Fair enough. We will wait for the reviews on the phones with Exynos chipsets then.
