Do you guys think Samsung will release an update to solve/minimize the battery drain issue on S20 Ultra? Just can't accept the SOT for a 5,000mAh phone 😃

After the update, optimised power mode seems a lot better than medium power saving on my 20+

You are only getting 5 hours SOT in a day at 60hz display? I think something isn't right. Have you checked if there are apps drawing power in the background? I noticed some folks here being able to achieve around 7 hours on 120hz on WiFi, I'd imagine it can't be so far off on LTE.

Is there any other method apart from Settings>Device Care>Battery>Battery Usage? I'm using data all the time

Below are my SOT per differrent usages :

Usage #1 - If 100% WiFI,120Hz screen, power optimize, no games, no camera and no video call then able to hit 7 to 8 hrs ++ SOT.

Usage #2 - If similar setting as usage #1 but with minor camera usage for video call then will be ~7 hrs SOT.

Usage #3 - If similar setting as usage 1 but mix with 4G data then will be ~6 to 6.5 hrs++.

Normally ~6 hrs ++ unless extremely high usage with mix 4G data, camera, Skype business call, bluetooth headset for songs etc then only drop to slightly below 6 hrs. 4G data did consumed more battery especially worst if move between good and average signal area while camera is another power hungry apps too.

Thx

Maybe you can install some of those third party battery apps but personally I just use the step above. Have you tried diving deeper into which apps are consuming power in the background? Maybe you can disable those apps from using data in the background.

My point exactly. I think that's pretty good for the S20 Ultra.

Thanks for the advise

By the way, someone from XDA posted app to be disabled using Package Disabler Pro, here's the link. According to him, this would reduce the standby drain. Anyone has tried this?

My personal experience as well. Exynos throttles hard and stutters games. Banning samsung phones until it comes with local SD.

Before you purchase the Package Disabler Pro, have you tried turning off AOD? That would be the No1 battery drainer on all Samsung phones.

Hi all, wanted to ask you guys. When you all buy the S20 phone family series you all are entitle to redeem a memory card of 128 GB from Samsung Redemption website right ?

I am using a S20 Plus and i did apply for the redemption few weeks back and i have received email notification from Samsung that the redemption is successful redemption request.

However when i did a follow up email back to Samsung there is no reply from them. 5 times follow up has been made. The email is rms_support@samsung.com

Kindly to ask folks here have you all receive your 128 GB memory card already ?

For me the biggest battery drain is from Chrome.

Its already turned off as i'm using Medium Power Saving. Standby drain would be 1% p/hour from my observation. Is it the same with you guys?
