The video tells us that the Z Flip's display is made of plastic and glass underneath. You are touching plastic which you cannot remove because it is part of the display. Kinda pathetic of Samsung to fool people into believing they are touching actual glass. lol
Buying high end phones with super camera and just use free unlimited google photos cloud is not a perfect solution unless you opt to pay for extea storage.
Utilizing technology is what is good for us. I usually transfer old photos to my laptop but keep a backup of them in cloud. These free "high-quality" photos are good enough to relive old memories from time-to-time.
Somehow I don't feel sakit hati to pay over RM4k for my iPhones, but very reluctant to do that for Android seeing how fast the price drops. Aiyo, no way la, not with their financial muscle.
HTC was once a powerhouse company with the best designers and engineers. They briefly became the no.1 smartphone brand in 2011. They were who Huawei is now. It's always Samsung vs HTC.
We won't know what can happen to Samsung if they don't fix their asking price of their latest flagship phones. The fact that pre-orders are not out of stock means consumers won't pay them that much unlike iPhone buyers.
Just checked out the S20 duo and all I can say is it looks fine. I'm not a fan of the pale looking grey color. The back looks like a generic China phone but the display is perfect.
I just wished Samsung made the front symmetrical. Again, the bottom bezel is bigger than all other sides. My OCD killed me earlier.
You know how Android OEMs want to make the top and side bezels slimmer but they can't do the same with the chin for hardware reasons.
Here's the best example: iPhone 11 Pro vs S10e. Notice Apple's attention to detail. The top, sides and bottom borders are even. Even the corner radius of the body AND the display itself are equal. Galaxy S10e's borders are uneven at the top and bottom while the side borders are thinner.
We couldn't blame Samsung tho because they wanna boast the best screen to body ratio in expense of design.
Yeah, I think I'm also done buying Samsung's latest and greatest Exynos powered devices now that I have had a taste of how the device would run on a SD chip
This is what Samsung Malaysia owners have been missing out all these years. Former HTC owners who migrated to Samsung or Huawei felt how inferior Samsung phones are when it comes to performance.
any seller sell AP unit for snapdragon version online?
Expansys and T&L Telecom. But T&L is currently not selling Samsung devices from HK (it must be due to corona where shipping from overseas is suspended).
You can also check online sellers who are selling US sets but do note these are refurbished (sold as "new") that's why they are cheap.

Thinking of getting the Slim Armor from Spigen for my S20+. Can't go wrong with Spigen right?
I suggest you to get Liquid Air or Rugged Armor. You can scratch the glass of your phone IF sand/dust particles get in between the case and your phone due to friction of both materials (hard plastic and glass).

just asking - any of you with this 90/ 120Hz refresh rate have compared to a flagship without same and then with an iPhone - say XS - notice any major difference?
Yes, it's easy to spot the difference between the 60hz from the latest iPhone vs 120hz from the s20.
It's VERY obvious when you scroll down from notifications panel or just go to settings and scroll up and down the settings menu. Disable dark mode so it's easier for people who can't distinguish between the two.
This is just like a youtube video playing in 30fps vs 60fps. That's how obvious it is. I'm not sure about 60hz vs 90hz refresh rate because I've not tried a phone with a 90hz display.
In my opinion, we should not use the iPhone to compare with the 90Hz / 120Hz Android phones because they are using different OS.
Refresh rate has nothing to do with the OS. An iPhone or any other "normal" phone has a refresh rate of 60hz.
A lag or stutter you experience on a phone is NOT part of the refresh rate. You might be confused that a phone is laggy because it has low refresh rate. These are 2 different things.

I only see S20 Ultra camera reviews but not the regular S20 models. I hope someone will do a camera comparison of the Ultra and a regular model to check if the dynamic range and detail on the S20 is as good as Ultra's.
To be honest I think that's the prominent selling point for the S20 series, the S20 Ultra's camera. Beyond that, it's hard to ask someone with a Note 10 or S10 series to upgrade to the S20 series non Ultra.
I think it's a bad thing. The S20 looks like an inferior product since they compare Ultra vs iPhone 11 Pro when they should compare the Pro to the normal S20 and S20+ variants.
Thats why i get telco set.. got screen crack insurance, of coz additional payment la.. cheaper than break and go replace ourself.
SME covers crack etc within the warranty period. I experienced dropping my old S9 within the month of purchase and they happily replaced not just the screen, but also the body since the aluminum frame had scuffs and dents. It's FREE. No hassle compared to talking to telco employees.
Oh btw, I went to Samsung The Gardens branch and it was repaired with 2 hours.
