Not so much issue on anh30, during my 6 years ownership for the anh20, exclude my mod and wear&tear, the most expensive repair I spent was throttle body, was quoted 4K by Toyota SC, but my friend use a repair kit that cost me 1k plus. Absorbers, steering rack and brake pad+rotor won't cost a lot for you if you can afford 200k car.

When ppl don't and never own it, will scare you off, so don't bother and continue the hunt.

What you need now is to find a reliable recond car dealer, before place booking, get the Scrut report of the said vehicle and enjoy it.

car from japan is auction off in an auction and japan will do a very detail report about it and u can access by paying a small fee

but most of it won't even let u see the auction sheet, only the boss hold it...the SA won't have access to it
so u need to get it on your own
and even then the SA will always say the car they sell is grade A
what can u do?...it's in their nature

but i can guarantee u it won't be grade A because A means brand new or almost brand new...real mileage is less than 1000km which is impossible for what u wanted

those "auction sheet"...only the boss will have access to it since they're the ones who bid it. bought it and pay for it
the SA will have absolutely no access to it and they won't even see it in their lifetime nor that the boss will let them see it

from the moment the car arrived at port until the car is sold, i can guarantee the SA never touched the car before so they will have absolutely no idea abt the car(that would also affect their mindset to sell the car as well when they know there is something wrong with it)

p/s : i'm not an SA, i'm the one who handles the car when it arrives at port till inspecting the car thoroughly for them(dealer)
and even then i still don't have access to the "auction sheet" but i know where to get it from

Difference between Grade A, B, C, D or whatever, is it big? how do they grade it.

ANH20 2.4 is solid reliability with ample sparepart, but 3.5 plague with gb issue. Anh30 2.5 plague with gb issue for model 2015~2017. 2018 gb is revised model imnm. I m still using ANH20. Initially looking to change 2015, but my mech advise not to unless 2018 but 2018 model still exp.
