since i worked so many years in recond
my answer to u is NONE

and since you're not experience in buying recond or in car in general
i suggest u buy new car for peace of mind
recond car dealer only gives u 2 months warranty only
*
if u fork me 200k extra then i will buy new.

trust me, don't be cheapskate
that "cheapskate" will backfire u once the 2 month warranty is over
if u don't know anything abt cars at all, u won't be able to point out what is wrong with the car
and you'll be in serious wallet trouble once it fail

or just forego your vellfire idea and go for other cars that is sold brand new...why must u have a vellfire?
u have to understand that buying a recond is basically buying a used car, there is no difference

there are differences between being a cheapskate and opt for not so high price cars that will devalue quickly overtime.
plus, I am using it for weekend family trip to dinner, shopping and maybe going somewhere, there are 7-8 of us.

Yes i am looking around that year. The 2.5z offering about 190k to 210k. Parts wise there are alot of people in the market selling it so i wont be worrying too much. At least it has gear box not as espensive as my beemer that i am driving now, heck i dont even know why i bought it new when i saw my friend get the same model recond one with 30% lower price and nothing is wrong. I guess is luck.

As for vellfire, there are offers giving 1 to 2 years warranty. I thought its gimmick but no. There are those without warranty but about 10-15% lower price.

I do not want to buy new because it cost RM 400k +, and risk being stolen especially for this models in new.

My wife doesnt like kia grand carnival because it looks bulky and like a van, even though i liked it. Serena is too small, i didnt like it so it boils down to vellfire.

these vellfire are also famous for their ABS module problem
u can't check it, u can only wait for it to fail and it's very expensive to change 1 of them
my friend who owns a vellfire back then changed a few of these every year until he was so fed up...he traded in for a kia instead
the power door sometimes will give u problems too...as always expensive to repair

the SA that u engage knows nothing abt the car they're selling, their job is only to sell u the car u like
they don't even know the condition the car it's in nor that they care
a car that is grade C also they can say it's a grade A...u won't even know laugh.gif
that's why the buyer needs to know themselves which part is wrong and needed replacement

as someone mentioned, he is looking for a 2013-2014 car, it's a 6-7 years car, what kind of car that is 6-7 years old that is problem free?
as compared to a brand new car? laugh.gif

the spec sheet got mention grade rate?
can it be altered?

u can't
but most of it won't even let u see the auction sheet, only the boss hold it...the SA won't have access to it
so u need to get it on your own
and even then the SA will always say the car they sell is grade A
what can u do?...it's in their nature laugh.gif

Difference between Grade A, B, C, D or whatever, is it big? how do they grade it.
