retail sector is cutthroat industry, every month burning moneh to keep stores afloat

when well dries up dis is wat happens

I am all this while thought retail shops like these are profiting from their termed payment, and not really depending on the gross profit of goods sales

Nothing wrong. Hypermarket is very alive just that Giant cannot compete. Miri here, E-mart and Everwin always full, Bruneians flock these stores because of price.

Giant and Tesco negative profit tell otherwise.

Tax is another issue.
Tax is also called DUTY. It is called duty for a reason, that no one can run away from their 'duty'
