IMO, I think it's better for school to be a purely academic place, rather than embedding cultural stuff in it. On the other hand, embedding religion stuff in a school spells doom.

Within my Roman Catholic Church also got celebrate Ponggal festival by the Indian community as a cultural event, I tak nampak myself atau orang lain praying to sun god etc, except to our Lord Jesus Christ for a bountiful harvest.

Of course other gods do exists, for it is written in the Holy Scriptures, that they are gods themselves for they teach their own teachings instead of God's teaching.

yup, that’s the thing. it is meant to be an Islamic federal agency that guides Muslims whom may lack the knowledge/judgement or in your word uneducated pertaining to Islamic affairs.
Alas, the caveat is as per mentioned is the unqualified individuals who may lack the sensitivity on delivering it especially in our multicultural, multi religious country
