there are many good players everywhere, but mostly are not selected instead they select other Malay guy, this means wat i duno la, but many talents are burried by those unhealthy coaches. E.G, my fren a bumi, he can play very well, but end of the day, teacher no select him, wholeteam all is Malay. Y? n this keep happening? change who sit the seat also no use la, they should change those who can realli dig out talents n not burried them. peace.

IMHO:

1. Chinese parents focus more on education instead of sports.
2. Chinese are generally more interested in Chinese-dominant sports like basketball and table tennis.
3. Not enough opportunity?
4. Playing football in Malaysia is not exactly the best way to live a comfortable life.

I'm really not sure about this racial-based selection. But due to its sensitivity, i don't think we should discuss about this point.... well, at least not publicly LOL.

Even at MSSD level for secondary schools in the Damansara area, you can count the number of Chinese who play football on both hands. The problem begins at the grassroots level. Only private schools like Sri KDU have a majority of Chinese in their football squad.

What about playing overseas? Many of us have had overseas education where we have the opportunity to get some proper training, whether it be for representing the school or university. I understand that not many Chinese want to end up playing in our local league, but it doesn't mean they can't look abroad. That way, they will have quality training and if they choose to do so, represent the nation.
