Sorry but pretty sure that's what he meant on medan dakwah. Semenanjung has trying very hard to convert borneo and there has been effect. Talk to the non there and they will all agree. So maszlee with that statement is not surprising. He can twist and turn how dakwah is interpreted but pretty sure that was intention in first place. If no religion agenda shouldn't even mention Islam in first place.

And no to the compulsory jawi. I meant he should discuss with stakeholders first before intro it.

A good value is good value nevertheless whoever said that. Our problem is seems that we are quick to reject something just because of who said what, not actually what is being said. The opposite also happen where we accept whatever being by a person or anyone who we like eventhough our conscience tolds us not to like of what being said.

But he don't come across as an educationist when he changed white shoes to black for whatever feeble reason there is.

White canvas shoes are part of school uniform since schools were established, not only here but also in other Asian/Asean countries.

They are inexpensive, and it has an essential role in educating young minds... go to school in clean shoes and uniform, and take pride wearing them.

There is discipline inculcated into the young minds when they have to wash the shoes and make them whiter than white during the weekends and making preparations to go school on Monday.

I don't think early educationists choosed white shoes, white socks and shirts to be part of the school uniform without deeper considerations. It is foolhardy to dismiss them.
