That seriously wouldn't be a bad idea. I recommend it, as it also lowers the risk of me whamming my head with that heavy barbell.
But....I have to use barbells, no matter what, cuz I gotta oly lift.

I starts smolovs.......

4 sets of 9 reps at 225lbs..... rclxub.gif
10 sets of triples at 300lbs....icon_question.gif
7 sets of fives at 270lbs.... mega_shok.gif

current bw of 162lbs........ cry.gif

i'm sweating already.....

anyone who knows this routine, knows it's insanely difficult.....

so far, my 1RPM are Bench (245LBS), Deadlifts (365LBS), (Squats, 315LBS), Front Squat (245LBS)

I'm lookin at a possible drop in bench numbers, a hopeful increase in deadlifts, to about 385lbs, and a definitely back squat increase to at least 345LBS (oR 365lbs? tongue.gif ), hoping for a front squat of 265LBS and above.

I prays.....

reporting day one of smolov........

100KG (225LBS) X 9 REPS X 4 SETS=quivering legs.

It took about 30 mins to complete, and by the time I was done, I felt really bad and shook and trembled. Felt like puking so badly.....had to rest for nearly 30 mins before I felt okay again. It was pretty fcuking horrendous and I'm sure if I don't eat enough, I won't be able to have enough energy for the next 3 days of squatting.

this is smolov......so......suck it all up and overtrain.....it's meant to be that way.

just an update, i've back squat 5x5, up 2, 295lbs before and it left me with no problems with my leg......i did 4x9x225LBS of smolov, first day.....and my legs are aching........like when u begin to learn to squat, that kinda ache, altho not too bad.

tmr, wednesday's gonna be fun.

he has the frame to support the muscle definitely.....i think it's something to do with your training or your diet king.
