yes but not as significant as most people would think, meaning it might reduce a little bit of wind resistance but not to the point of adding 2-3km/h to your average speed(in a perfect situation meaning in a vacuum) over the course of 20 minutes or even an hour.
so hermaphrodite

Beg to differ. Changed rims to vision metron....my average Naik 3kmh. Usually average 25kmh at gce....on metron I average 28 to 29...on shittiest day dapat 26.x kmh which I struggle on my older rims.

Rode more than 10 times at gce and the findings I got is consistent so it has to be the change of rims

all u reply was "ok"

Actually....no use to debate. Wheelset is probably one of the biggest gains you can get. Either go for deeper section wheel for flats or lightweight thin profile for climbs. I went with 55 for both. Regret in the climb.....but in the flat..it's perfect

get a good pump now.
use current tyres sampai habis.
then change to good ones.
*
I got my floor pump from decathlon. Quite okay...get the metal body one.....can pump 120 psi no problem ( but I normally pump 100 psi)

The plastic body type can't take the pressure. For hand pump I use top peak....fit to side of my bottle cage. Very good assembly ...but as usual....u toceng for 10 to 15 mins baru puas

My bike saddle is about the same level as the handle. My friends bike bike geometry is the saddle is taller than handle. Does this play a role? Aero bike will take less effort to ride?

Take a book ( make sure it's a firm.book). Yank it between your legs and push as high into your balls possible. Make a mark at the wall where the top of the book

Take that mark ( which is your inseam height) and X 0.833

That is your saddle hight. Now measure the middle of your crank spindle to the top of your seat. That's how high your seat suppose to be

Hello riders,

I'm looking out to try out Roadie pedals, initially set eyes on Shimano SPD -SL system, but now also look at Look system due to very affordable Xpedo light weight pedals that uses Look cleats.

Any pros/cons of going either system?
Leaning towards Xpedo pedals/Look cleats as it much cheaper given the 230g++.

I have been using mtb cleat shoes on my roadie for sometime...Do i expect  minor performance gain for switching to Roadie shoes due to better securement of the clips?
*
Look cleats imho don't last long. Average about 10 to 12 month( ride about 1k km a month)

Shimano cleats like bomb proof. Mine running for 1.5 year after change to Shimano SPD....sitll tahan. Done about 14k alrwady

I find that having bigger chain ring....and casset like 11t...not quite suitable for me. I always on the medium...almost crossing the chain ring.....can hit 50 kmh on flat .....but wind is the major demotivating factor....try to be aero but perut buncit

cassette 11t, but what is the biggest cog?
i think perut buncit contributes to aerodynamic advantage.
*
54...compact but still .....when want to aero....perut get into the way....block knee on the upstroke.

Anyone got any suggestion for dry lub? I use muc off dry ...damn rough the drive train.....use ciplak oil the drive train damn smooth like butter ...too thin macam.silicon like oil

I had tried both bryton 310 and 330, their data screen always lag and takes a long time to upload data. better get the newer 4-series, been using 450 without any complains for a year.
*
Am using bryton 320...felt it was okay. However nowdays I use it to seey speed etc ....upload to strava etc is using my Garmin vivoactive watch.....bryton is redundant now ..but useful to see speed and cadence instead of looking at watch.

I was using it to show data while riding on trainer so I noticed the speed, cadence, elapsed time will often go blank or stuck then skip to another number after 5-10 seconds

Another complain is that syncing rides to phone will take a long time, and for longer rides above 100km will often get stuck (end up have to connect to pc to extract the fit file and upload manually. Don't expect to use the auto-upload feature for audax rides doh.gif
*
Maybe u need a firmware upgrade..or maybe you got a lemon unit. Mine has not ever lost or blank itself.

However what has happen I cannot forget is ride to morib from putrajaya. Otw back from morib, after rest ...forget to turn pause back to continue mode and lost the coming back distance...curse myself Everytime I think about that.

Now I just let it run...and autopause on my Garmin. Watch...no way can make it for audax....only last 4 hours max with 10 percent remaining

if only smartwatch can connect with cadence meter, then no need for bike comp too, hampalang kautim in one watch
bryton ONE dont have barometer for altitude sensing. XOSS had some issues with memory management and incorrect GPS tracking (based on what i googled la)

so only left with Rider420 which cost almost rm480.00. but i also found a rider410 at rm490.00 (both on shopee)

garmin more exp for less features compared to brytons. looks like i am leaning more to Bryton liao
*
Can connect to cadence at least tried with Garmin cadence sensor. But battery take a bit

andrewhtf perhaps can angle your red blinker like this picture?  hmm.gif

There's this little loop where you wedge the holder of the blinker right? Adjust adjust a bit a bit can or not?

Failing with, then go with big bag.  laugh.gif  icon_idea.gif

How to check stiffness for bike frame comparison actually?

Gusto Team Sport 2021 with full R7000 groupset
or
Old Giant Propel 2016/2017 with old mixed shimano 105 is better? they are almost same price now..
*
Actually you won't know...every manufacturer claim stiffness so gooding ...few percent more than previous model .....how you know stiff or not.

This is marketing. Though personally aero frame is more stiff than say climber frame. like cervelo s vs r series.

But amongst different brand ..god knows.

I would prefer which ever that has the nicest color and the latest. So gusto probably la...newer model....nicer feeling. Don't like can sell and the year is next year model leh. R7000 105 group set is defi better than the older 105....everything new...is better than a 3 year old bike

Yes . You will only know when you ride it. If you are googling or finding which bike to buy...very hard to decide. Most bike shop only let u pusing car park if you really interested.....but brands may vary....so difficult to test what you want if you just browse online .....
