QUOTE(Justin.Loong @ Jul 13 2020, 04:27 PM) OK. Good shopping tips. I used brands like Soomom before but I don't like the material. Feels thin, flimsy and slippery. You have hard on for Varn Varn?

Garmin edge 5xx ftw, from the cheapest supplier you can find. No need local warranty coverage, they are absolutely useless after my experience dealing with them.

Nowadays my taman ride, since I wear slippers and running tubeless, no need to pack puncture kits just bring nice optics to scope out the Lululemon lycrans. If really bad puncture then walk back home lo

My Garmin hrm Their lowball qc screw holding the back plate thread stripped, so I couldn't open the back plate without forcing it. Haven't used one since and if I was in the market for a hrm, I'd get a cheaper ant+ one.

QUOTE(Justin.Loong @ Aug 4 2020, 06:07 PM) Honestly, I never tried Kabuto, KASK, POC, ABUS, or other helmets although I'd like too. Only using old Giro Synthe, Aether and Specialized Prevail. Luckily all 3 fit my head fine despite buying online without trying. then you should fit kask just fine, because those brands you have are more for oval shaped heads, my old spez only fit nicely with a buff as a go between. abus comes close but i still feel kabuto gives the best fit.

QUOTE(andrewhtf @ Aug 10 2020, 11:02 AM) After some re-adjustment, finally settled for a height which i guess is roughly just 5mm lower than previous height before all those 0.883 or 109% methods. LPPL. pi mai pi mai tang tu. because of the much lower height before, i find that my long ass saddle bag is grinding the tyre liao. have to take off and dump out my air pressure gague, the mini tripod and cable locks, only carry a spare tyre, hex key, and tyre levers in a mini saddle bag. but the shitty thing is this small saddle bag is not blinker friendly, mount the blinker and it points down to the tyre. kanasai then an idea came to me, why use saddle bag when i could just chuck everything into a drinking bottle, place it on the bottle cage, and leave the blinker nicely on seatpost? just that if i have to ride longer, i cannot bring 2 water bottles lah. Tldr Bike fit je

CV is vibration damping tech, less vibe more comfort better endurance and performance. CV use in tennis racket contruction not unlike carbon frame construction is for the same purpose. Downside of CV use in tennis racket is a reduced "feel" because of lesser vibration and thus lack of sensation felt by players make it harder for them to gauge the control and direction of the tennis ball.
For bikes, a muted feel is prefrerred but of the lack of cushioning and suspension elements on a road bike. A muted and smooth feel is nicer than a jarring, "feel every grain of aggregate on the road" sensation especially when combined with a stiff and light carbon bike. Stiff, light and comfortably smooth, isn't that the ideal bike?
