Yeah. never happened to me, but I've seen it happen to others on a few rides before. but Continental fixed the problem with the GP4000S2 and after.

Vittoria Corsa Graphene? I remember the early batches of these had manufacturing issues. Seen a few cases where you get a nice clean up to 1 inch split on the sidewall, especially after hitting a pothole. Later batches had this fixed though.

Could it be that the tyre stock / batch you got was defective?
So perhaps can ask the LBS or the local importer for warranty?

his bottlecage broke, his bottle flew and stuck in his chainstay.
rear tyre slides and kapommm instant burst.
really bad luck.

happen to me once that my bottle feel off, hit chainstay and i 180 somersault and fall down

Note to self - add an elastic strap on the bottle to prevent falling off
