it is issue bro. that is why we have different term for different solat. solat sunat or wajib. if term of solat no issue then, we just niat "usolli fadhu adaan lillahi taala" enought right? but no, we have to specify which solat we are doing. solat name is very important u can goto ask ustaz.

The true teaching, u don't lafaz at all, prophet Mohd also never lafaz niat.

It's about the intention isn't it?

We acknowledge that the differences are linguistic & the terms refer to the same prayer/solat.

You might be surprised that the utterance of niat around the world aren't exactly verbatim a how we're practicing here in Malaysia.

Niat is compulsory even the prophet does it.

inna aqmalu bin niah = every deeds(good deeds) is upon its intentions.

true sunnah = upon takbir / inside your heart you put the niah(intentions)
for salat zuhr/fajr etc even in your own language also ok since its niah

niat = amalan hati

lafaz = mengucapkan dengan lisan

but in term of our country or tanah nusantara ,i believe the wisdom from previous ulama is for the ajam or non arab like
to learn and practice islam little by little / baby steps so not to make it difficult although a bit differ from the sunnah.
and so goes some bidaah practise like yasinan etc just to encourage people to read the quran and do some good amal together and to create
a gathering of zikr/remembrance of allah.

Just now early morning go eat breakfast heard sound from nearby mosque.
Then do some google search. It's call solat fajr, which is around 5am - 6am depending on location.

That means Muslim need to wake up 5am everyday for solat?? Betul kah?
I am skeptical did u all follow?
