Anyway... Nightingale conversion for the MG HiNu frame. Gives you an idea of how gigantic an MG Nightingale or The-O would be should it ever make it to the MG factory.

Somehow I don't like the plastic extensions that protrude outwards when the sword is folded. In addition, the red part of the wings are a bit too wide compared to the anime lineart. These two points seem to be present in most of the modded MG Destiny models found online... If I'm not mistaken Vicious Project's resin kits suffer the same problems too. Nevertheless, BANDAI's own MG Destiny doesn't seem to have these problems. Good job I must say.
And the Turn A is looking sweeter and sweeter by the moment...
Yet it seems shrunken compared to the 1/100 (note this in one of the pics)... smaller rifle and shield, less bulky torso and shoulder armors, shorter pelvic armor... 4K yen for this?

WOOT!! Great find... it is a Nightingale, but probably a 1/144 since an MG would be much more larger than the Turn A. With the release of HGUC Jagd Doga, maybe Nightingale will be released soon.

Hehe... yes bandai is milking CE fans, but the demand for the SF FB is still high enough for bandai to continue with this strategy.

the proportion of 1/100 is better than the MG... although articulation wise MG wins hands down.

We don't know how the MG Destiny's wings will look like... so it's quite unfair to say that it will look 100 times better

In addition, there are some sources from other forums saying that the "organic" looking butterfly wings are not the ones bundled with the MG Turn A, but only a custom made accessory by the modeller in the respective site. So don't worry about the butterfly

What I meant was the Wings of Light , not the normal wings.

The 1/144 gave us a glimpse of what we might get, ie transparent pink parts with some glitter in it... I reckon the MG would get larger ones.

September release... hm, as mentioned by StormV, it would probably be a recolour of an old kit since there isn't really much news about it. An X3 perhaps? It has been mentioned before if I remember correctly. Not sure about this.

haha... I get what you mean.

Anyway, it's hard to speculate what will be the extra gimmicks that comes with the special edition Destiny. The SF FB was expensive due to the supposedly more bling joints (not chrome plated anyway, so no excuse for price hike), dragoon parts + action base, and of course the inclusion of the normal poo joints which makes no sense anyway since the bling joints are included.

Apart from the WoL, there seems to be no other gimmicks that can come with the special edition. I don't suppose Bandai would want to include additional bling joints since it's not a feature of the Destiny. The only thing I can think of is the inclusion of "God Finger" parts... maybe some palm beams perhaps, since the joints of the Destiny permits poses similar to the God Gundam.

Oh man... the box art is so uninspiring... And there doesn't seem to be any Moonlight Butterfly provided There doesn't seem to be an overwhelming lot of parts too, although it's not few either.

Meanwhile... new pic about MG Destiny... nothing new revealed, except that the handle of the plasma cannon can be moved along the long axis.

CE MGs seriously need some bulking up. The two weapons at the back seem too long, while the remodelled rifle look absolutely crap. 5K yen for the normal version seems overboard already... can't even think of the SE version

Not really... The 1/100 had some minor drawbacks, such as the 90 degree bending elbow, the inability of the knee joints to go 180 degrees, weak palm joints, and flimsy joints for the wings and backpack. Nevertheless it is not something to complain of since it's an early CE 1/100, unlike the later releases such as IJ, Legend, Akat, and Saviour which had much better articulations.

Then again, I don't think the MG Destiny will bring much surprises since the frame should be similar to the MG SF. The WoL would probably be the main attraction, but for a 7000+ yen price? Despite the high selling price, special editions should be a great seller like the SFFB.

Looks like a similar frame to the SF... oh well. Still not liking the tiny rifle... and the weapons at the back still appear weird. I never put them on anyway... my 1/100 only has the wings without the weapons rack.

Yeah... the red-white-black one I suppose. What's the next colour scheme for RX78? Amuro Ray Custom with white and violet?

The Clown face is actually nice, and represents Shinn's supposed "downfall" towards the dark side. Note that when Destiny was introduced in the anime it had a background music of evil chants... unlike the sentai music of SF.

Hm... I thought the F91 had one of the best articulations around... 90 degree abduction of the hips... not every MG can do that.

UNCOOL? well... this is kinda subjective I suppose. Turn A has the best "walking" pose of all !!

Virtue... WTF man... look at the FAT FACE

We don't know for sure whether it's a female pilot or not. Currently the pilot of the Virtue is being introduced as a male despite having a prominent female appearance. Another Hua Mulan perhaps?

Man... the fat face and legs look crap, but the bulky torso looks the best among all four 00 units.
