You mean like the Crossbone FullCloth? tongue.gif

Most likely not the case for MG Turn A since there isn't any variation of the mecha in the anime. Maybe MG Turn X perhaps...

But who knows?

i hd some question here....

my bro recently bought d 1/144 scale gundam that cost Rm28...but at the same time, i notice that there is another extreme big box of scale 1/144 too, that cost RM400++.....y is that d scale is the same??

btw...d small 1/144 gundame model actually do not hd d colour same as wat it suppose to b....do u know what shld i use to get it painted??
*
RM 400 for a 1/144? Meteor perhaps?

RM28... I assume it's NG 1/144? The entire NG 1/144 is worthless; if you'll excuse my harsh use of words. I learned the hard way with the NG 1/144 Aegis.

I use the seed line as example,
FG = http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN913552  limited movements
NG = http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN914211 1/100 or 1/60 scale.
HG = http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN914204 1/144 scale.

the 1/60 can consider NG also.  but them the earlier edition of gunpla also know as FG, with 1/144 scale and alticulation like HG 1/144. example... http://www.hlj.com/product/BAN08659
*
I get your point, but NG 1/144s were never known as FG... It's not even called as NG but we refer to them as NG for non-grade since the box doesn't grade them in any manner. Same case with Seed's NG 1/100. Even the good old RX78 doesn't have FG labels on the box.

Oh well, no point arguing over the names as long as we mean the same thing tongue.gif

QUOTE(kurz @ Jun 22 2007, 05:40 PM)
so NG is better than FG?
*
Depends on which one do you mean....

Nobody knows how the FG and HG line for OO will turn out to be. But it'll be revealed shortly as the first batch of Excia will be out in Sept. This means that promo pics, linearts, and previews will be out very soon, probably in July.

Anyway, found some MG Gelgoog pics.... it seems that the legs cannot be bent 180 degrees... sad.gif Chunky armour gets in the way...
There's also some Turn A pics, but the link I've posted earlier had better coloured pictures... Note the hammer... It's BIG.

Brother... The Turn A is the exact same pic as the one I've posted lah... no need to post it again...

About the future release... X3 sounds nice, and it's just a rehash of the X1... I wonder when is X2 coming out? It seems that X2 is more popular as we've seen loads of custom painted X2s already.

QUOTE(JdOtL @ Jun 22 2007, 09:01 PM)
Hmmm...the MG terbalik A doesn't look as bad, wonder what kind of inner frame it got, from the looks of the mag, it doesn't have a inner frame.
*
Judging from the pics of a link I've posted before rolleyes.gif, the torso seems to have several compartments with hatches which can be opened to expose the missile tubes and the foldable arsenal. From the pic you can see the hinges are attached to a grey frame, which is I reckon will be the skeleton. Then again, notice the red parts of the torso seems to be a single chunk hence meaning it might be part of the skeleton too.
Attached Image

As for the limbs, it is highly possible that it will have a skeleton. The elbow joint clearly shows that. Note the back part of the legs which have the entire frame exposed. It can extend outwards as shown in the pics.
Attached Image Attached Image

Conclusion? It's an MG !! The possibility of having a frame is almost certain! The point is, the frame might not look like a normal grey frame that we're used to see in other MGs. Turn A may have a colourful one instead... But it's still a skeleton.

Seriously... This means that we'll get even better stuff with MG Turn A, if a previous model already has so much gimmicks. But compare it to the greyish prototype pics, they look alike, especially the joints and the weapons.

MG Turn A is promising... moonlight butterfly parts please...

OO HCMPro... looks very detailed, but HCM Pros are supposed to be detailed, so no surprises here. Dynamez looks ok but too much like Buster, while Excia needs more meat... What's going on with anorexic legs?

Hahaha everyone is calling out for an MG Unicorn! I've been dreaming of that the very first day I saw the leaked lineart.

Chances are slim though, let's not forget that there's still no MG Hazel despite it's popularity and ready-made frame of the MKII/GM Quel. Of course, BANDAI's spilling all their resources into OO when Unicorn deserves it more.

Speaking of OO... MSIA pics, and note the OO Region which is probably the equivalent of Cosmic Region of CE.

Personally I don't think there'll be any ver2.0 frame for the RX78 since the OYW frame is already a masterpiece. The only thing they could improve on is the inclusion of a transformable core fighter without sacrificing any mobility of the waist.

And I don't get it... The model shown is just a recolored version of 1.5, so why call it a Katoki version? Maybe black-white is Katoki's custom colour sweat.gif However I still think they should have used the OYW frame instead. This might not be a good seller as fans who liked black-white would probably have sprayed their own 1.5 already.

In addition, the price of a normal 1.5 is only 200yen cheaper than the OYW, hence the OYW is a better deal IMO. Nevertheless, I'd say the 1.5 is a good model after playing around with my friend's model.

Hm... August... I thought August is the release date of MG Turn A? This probably means that the black RX78 is not counted as it's only a re-coloured version. Someone posted before regarding September's release of X3... Cross your fingers !!

Everyone is craving for DHC... yet personally I prefer the original Deathscythe which looks more subtle. Legend would probably NOT get an MG, in fact I prefer Providence over it. tongue.gif Akatsuki might be possible as it's another Strike-rehash but the price will be shocking. A normal 1/100 already costs 6K yen, imagine the MG's price... shocking.gif
However the 1/100 is already good enough, if not the best 1/100; so it's unlikely we'll see an MG Akatsuki soon.

Others are very unlikely... Sad to say.
Despite the success of the miniature frames of post-UC mechas, V and V2 remains a troublesome project since they consist of combinable parts. How would Bandai solve the problem of articulations and joint stability with that, I have no idea.

What's with the F words? rclxub.gif

V2 will be a harder MG to make compared to Unicorn. Unicorn only needs opening panels and a changing face, which F91 is able to do. Of course, the opening panels will be a task for Bandai to design, as they need to figure out how to fit the joints and hinges of the panels... Yet I still see it as an easier task compared to V2. V2 probably needs to sacrifice mobility for all the transforming, hence a possible MG might just have accurate proportions (compared to the old HGs) rather than wide articulations of the ver2.0 / F91-Crossbone / CE frames.

If anything, I'd rather sacrifice the transforming part. Just include a seperate transformable Core Fighter like the ones in GP01 and 03.

Then again we could always WISH, couldn't we? laugh.gif

Good luck with scratchbuiliding, if anyone is ambitious enough to do that... We might see some of them in hobby magazines soon, but I doubt it will have moving panels.

MG Turn A is indeed a beauty. In fact it looks so much better than Akatsuki (bias intended) tongue.gif

And remember our debate about the inner skeleton of the Turn A? Well from the large pic it's certain that the MG Turn A will have a frame which bears some similarities to the Syd Mead SE model I've mistaken for the MG some time ago.

The legs clearly show glimpses of an inner frame, as do the underparts of the shoulder armour. But there are no signs of moonlight butterfly parts, so we'll have to bring out our watercolours and plastic wrapping papers once again doh.gif The arsenal would probably consist of the usual rifle, shield, sabres, chest missiles, and hammer as shown in lineart pics posted before.

Not forgetting the cow tongue.gif
Attached Image

I'd probably give it a miss, not because of the design (I like it, it's unique!!) but there are simply other kits I'd rather spend cash on. Like Char's Zaku... Anyway I can't get models here anyway since they are horribly overpriced... have to wait till I get back to M'sia sad.gif

FG = NG 1/144 apparently...
note that the FG has the exact same flaws of the Seed NG 1/144 line of models. Single coloured parts... EXTREMELY limited joint movements... horrible proportions etc.

It seems that only the 1/60 Excia is confirmed to be released, while the other 3 are just prototypes. In addition, I feel that the Dynames is going to be the most popular design among the 4 since it resembles old school Gundam the most.

The Gelgoog is absolutely sweet, but it's not as exciting as the Turn A...

Hm... it's confirmed now... FG = NG 1/144 tongue.gif

But it seems as if the Excia has bendable elbow joints, unlike the Seed series counterparts. Maybe it's exchangable parts? Not sure though... Don't really care much anyway.

Still cannot stand the designs though doh.gif

Come on BANDAI, at least come out with a HGUC Unicorn please, if an MG is too much trouble.

WOW... the master does it again thumbup.gif

I prefer this Sazabi compared to Keita's recent works such as the Saviour and Strike Freedom. The aforementioned Gundams had extra long feet which was reminiscent of GP01Fb's sandals which looked funny to me. This Sazabi had minimum cosmetic surgery and yet remained faithful to the anime lineart. Great stuff!!

Apparently in the anime Loran used the chest missile tubes to carry cows tongue.gif

The articulation is absolutely sweet. When it does the flying posture with one leg bent and the other straight, the streamlined design of the Turn A looks stunning!! Now this is a beautifully engineered kit. To think that it's cheaper than the Gelgoog rclxm9.gif

No moonlight butterfly to be seen though sad.gif

Exactly my thoughts. I've never really liked the traditional red-white-blue colour template, hence I feel that the OYW version with a lighter shade was a better looking one. There seems to be another black-white version of MG RX78 coming out soon which is based on the ver1.5 or ver.Ka (can't remember tongue.gif), they should probably release the black-white OYW version instead.

Unicorn = Ongoing novel at the moment, probably won't be finished in the near future. Chances of it getting a model kit at the moment should be quite slim since Bandai's resources will be focused on the upcoming 00 (sienz...doh.gif), and even if we get one it might just be a normal HGUC. Even the popular Hazel from AoZ did not get a MG treatment despite having ready made frames of the Quel and MKIIver2.0.

Fingers crossed. tongue.gif

Oh yeah, anyone who's interested in Unicorn and AoZ can read them in the link below. Unicorn only have 4 chapters translated there, but if I'm not mistaken the 5th chapter has already been released. AoZ can be read in the monthly Dengeki Hobby anyway, but I suppose most of the people here would have known that already rclxm9.gif

grunts suits from CE would probably never get MG treatment... in fact they dont deserve it as much as the other gundams do. tongue.gif Astrays would probably never get MG too since the 1/100 is already MG-like... just need to change the palms with moving fingers. Murasames are weird looking designs IMO, kinda like a poorer version of the Zeta Plus which looked much more classier.

I'd like to see an MG GINN or Cgue though. That'll be awesome.

amongst the 1/100s, Destiny is better than SF yet poorer than the IJ and Legend. I didn't like the anorexic IJ so I'd say the Legend was the best among the 4. Yet Legend was too skinny compared to Providence (but the articulations were better since it's so much newer)

WOOT !! great preview pics of the MG Destiny and HGUC Jagd Doga.

Let's speculate:

MG Destiny seems to have a similar frame to the SF (judging by the lower limbs), but the feet are a tad too big. However it seems that the waist movement together with the shoulder joints is going to be very impressive, allowing the Destiny to pose with a "God-Finger" stance. A small complaint here though is the position of the wings, which are slightly too high for my liking. Nevertheless that's only in the lineart as the model seems to have the correct wing position. Weapons wise, nothing special at the moment; the sword and cannon seems pretty much similar to the 1/100's but probably longer.

As an owner of the 1/100, I hope there will be several improvements such as the loose joints of the wings and weapons holder on the backpack, as well as the hands which are relatively weak to support the heavy weight of the large sword. They better include a stand as well for the Destiny since the SF has one.

As for the Jagd Doga, it looks absolutely stunning. The weapons layout are complete, even including a small holder at the waist for the army knife/beam sabre, similar to the HCM Pro. The proportion looks good too and reflects the bulkiness of CCA-era MSes. Will this signal a release of an MG Doga? Or at least a HGUC Sazabi/Nu? But chances are Quess' custom Doga might show up... It's just a modded head plus a gatling rifle anyway.

Great stuff by Bandai coming up. More poison rclxm9.gif
