Hye...me also planning to buy Lantis. I fall in love with this machine since I saw it in 94@95. That time I only kid but already fall in love with this thing till now. I already own Saga LMST version 2006 but will change to Lantis soon. Just wait for my cheque to be ready.
FYI, I already contact one fella in Seremban that want to sell his Lantis with complete Mazda Speed bodykit and 18" rim. And its 1.6 manual.
Really cant wait to ride this beauty. drool.gif

I'm looking for a lantis too.

My advice to buy lantis is, go ask from people who actually have one, rather than asking ppl who doesnt own them. U got more clear perspective over your doubts on sparepart la, resale price la, etc etc..

The response that i get from Lantis owners is that Lantis dont have much problem, Spareparts wasn't that hard to get, and it's not expensive. The only main problem with Lantis is that of its power window. Otherwise, IT'S FINE.

If u love it, go get it! smile.gif smile.gif

Better avoid the Lantis... It's getting old & spare parts are getting rare. Own 1 before & it was a headache.

Hi Bro,

instead of getting a 1.8 auto might as well get the cheaper 1.6 model and convert to a v6. Parts are available and shared with the Ford Telstar GE,Mazda 626 Cronos and some Kia models ( you can pick up from Spectra, and Carnival model)

its a great car to drive, super handling and despite its age quite a good looking even now. Join the Lantis Owners' FB group for more opinions. Most forummers here normally whack the Mazda and Ford brands regarding parts etc, but all it takes is some extra effort to cari parts and you have a car which is relatively cheap to run and solid unlike our local proton models.

That said, a 1.8 model is abit hard to come by even spares due to the parts cannibilazation by the owners who convert to the 1.8 Turbo version.

Owned a 1.8M and 1.6 Auto lantis before.. Now a happy Lantis 2.0V6 Type R owner...
