So if I understand correctly, the Dolby Access Code is only for Dolby Atmos "emulation" that turns any headphone into "spatial" or "Surround" enabled correct?
If this is the case Xbox Wireless Headphone is only a "Normal" Gaming Headset with mic. Similar with Arctic 7P and Sony Pulse 3D? all Dolby or DTS:X are done by the software?

If I connect any headphone into the 3.5mm headphone jack on the controller it will work?

I got mine from Shopitree/ GameMartz for RM2465 with shipping. Have to worry about tax and also how to claim warranty. If any problem need to send back SG. That costs a lot also.

Looking back. Impulse only RM300 more. But no need worry about warranty and tax. RM100 they help claim warranty quite fair. Drive down to SG and back also not so cheap.

I don’t see hope of getting RM2199 anytime soon that’s y bought from Shopitree. If Qisahn got stock also definitely get from them. 😌

If don’t want wait get from Impulse. They don’t get SG restock that often also. Next will be EU and JP stock. You’re stuck with 3 months warranty and that’s it. They are not like other shop who’s selling 2999 or 3199.

RTINGS reviews are generally good but for the Xbox Wireless headset cannot rely on it. Coz it doesn't test the Atmos and gaming functions.
I watched most of the reviews from Youtube. Generally not bad.
out of the box it's really boomy and seems not clear, but once you lower down the bass using the custom eq it is ok.
Like mentioned in all the reviews. For USD99 this is very good already.

This generation I really support Xbox, mainly because of Phil Spencer. I respect him as a gamer and all the effort he put into Xbox and Game Pass is the meat
PS5 is not as powerful on paper, don't support Atmos or Dolby Vision, not even 1440p out of the box.
It feels like the have been 'tai kor' all this while and being complacent and taking gamers for granted.
Same like what happened to Xbox in the previous generation. Coz Xbox 360 pwned PS3 and they became cocky during Xbox One.
I don't like Jim Ryan, he is from finance background and focus on making money only. There are no innovation and can see that not much effort being put into PS5.
Now they are playing catching up. Releasing firmware for 1440p, rumours backwards compatibility is coming and PS Now just started USD1 per month.

I was hanging on the fence when Xbox announced procurement of Bethesda and was straightaway sold when they announced EA play is coming to game pass for free.
Now rumours Ubisoft Uplay also coming. It's the best thing that a gamer can ask for. Like TongCN mentioned, it is the Netflix for Xbox games. There are so many games and so little time...
Also first party games "free" on day 1. It's like Returnal launch on PS5 and Sony give it to you for free.
