I have absolutely no interest in baseball but it's so weird seeing the playstation logo on the xbox.

I have absolutely no interest in baseball until I actually witnessed the actual game and the facts and etc behind it.

Ever since then I am hooked. Most of the muricans guai low buy xbox for 2 must have games, Madden and MLB (2k sports)

The new Huawei TV 4K 120hz at RM2999, does it has HDMI 2.1 as well? seems like a good budget TV for new gen consoles
*
Huawei Vision S

Looks like only 3x HDMI 2.0. To achieve 4k @ 120hz with Hdmi 2.0(assuming hdmi 2.0b) you will be forced to 8 bit color depth without HDR. But 1080p @ 120hz or 1440p @ 120hz should be possible.

For this price just top up around rm600-700 and can get 55" Sony X90H, FALD, HDMI 2.1, proper HDR and DV with around 700 nits at peak.

Mine is SG set. Box also say SG set. Bought from shopitree SG. I’ll try again. 💪🏻

How and when you get from Shopitree? I refresh qisahn + shopitree daily looks like no hope for restock.

I don't feel like paying RM2799 or RM2849 for a jap set. I believe all SG set at 2799 no longer available. All prices increased back dy.

I know that feeling, I was the same, don want pay higher price. That time I also refresh Qisahn and Shopitree daily. One fine Friday night while I was putting my kids to sleep, I refreshed again and saw it listed in stock for Shopitree. Can't believe my eyes, jumped out from my bed and straightaway switch on my pc to double confirm and made the purchase. Was damn happy. But shipping is very expensive. SGD90.30. End up paying SGD789 = RM 2465.
Also, there is a risk of getting taxed. Buy from Qishan is better. No extra shipping and no tax. Or wait SG set from Impulse. normally the price quite ok and if buy from Shopee can get 10% discount. biggrin.gif
*
Yeah i know about the 10% "coinsback".

Problem is i refresh day and night, day and night, signed up to all the qisahn + shopitree notification. Macam no hope.

Qisahn sent me the email for restock for series X + fifa 21 bundle on May 9 or something at 2am sunday. Who the heck stays up at 2am to buy xbox. dry.gif

Then qisahn might be a better choice for shipping. I was just trying to check out for the series S and they charge RM45 only via poslaju. Total RM1399 + RM45. I presume series X would just be slightly higher than that.

the other day i saw jap set with lazada cash RM9 off every RM99, I could get it down to Rm2599. Regret didn't pull the trigger during 9.9.

I saw gamerboy store posted SG set for whopping RM3099 now. Bloody exp.

I activated my dolby vision for my Sony TV and started up mass effect andromeda. You can definitely see the difference.

Oh yeah don't go wondering why there's no 120 fps for dolby vision because it's not even a thing yet.

Another tip disable motion flow on your tvs.

Good news, VRR and ALLM X90H firmware is being released in China. Apparently FALD and X-tended dynamic range will be disabled if VRR enabled.

Tired of waiting for SG set. Took the plunge for a Jap set for RM2670 after Lz bonus reward and vouchers.

Shopee no longer gives unlimited coins back. Mostly all capped already.

So what’s the best way to get GPU? My last Xbox was a 360 and that was more than a decade ago.

On a side note LG Cx users will get 4K 120 DV update by end of Oct according to HDTVtest.

for GPU, stack your gold to max of 3 years, then sub the GPU for one month, it should convert the rest of the gold to GPU automatically  <= that's the current method IINM

QUOTE(SubRoutine @ Oct 12 2021, 09:47 PM)
Best method. No need to deal with Xbox CS to get everything converted.

With that said, if you get lucky they will essentially buy 1 month of GPU for you to convert everything lol. Happened when I helped my friend setup his acc.

Sorry I am a bit noob for this. Which region should I go for for XBL?

Thanks for all your input. I guess I will stick with getting it via xbox.com US site then straight upgrade to GPU $1. I notice that on xbox.com there isn't a 12 months option but instead a 3 months sub option. Let say if i buy a 12 months digital code via Amazon 3 times and I can still upgrade to $1 GPU via xbox.com right?

But it will be quite expensive if I go this route. $59.99 x 3 + $1 = $180.97. Almost RM756 after conversion. I wonder if there is any website that sells cheaper US region XBL gold for 12 months?

I got mine from offgamers for around rm220 for 12 months.  They charged an extra rm20 transaction fee so total for 3 years so total came up to around 690ish? But I’m sure there are cheaper options than them

Thanks man. This is not that bad of a deal. Cause newegg 49.99 still needs to pay state tax and would come up to around $54ish. So RM222 is pretty fair.

I successfully did it. I stacked 3x XBL US Region on offgamers. Ended up RM668.83. There wasn't a RM20 handling fee. Only RM1. Then I proceeded to Microsoft account on PC, turned on US VPN and redeemed all 3 codes.

I key in my CC on xbox.com for $1 and it automatically converted all my 36 months XBL to GPU. Then I turned off CC recurring billing for 2024. Hassle free!

Thanks to Kidicarus.

OTA I guess.  It just happened automatically and was just pleasantly surprised when i saw the DV badge on some games that didn't have it previously.

Just checked again on my 55" CX that it's indeed on 4.30.10 and my 4k TV details on the Xbox says 4k DV @ 120hz.
*
Hmm that's odd. I am still on 3.23.35 on the 65". I have tried to refresh multiple times on the TV itself and it says no updates available yet.

Edited: Nvm. Just when I was about to do it manually and I did one refresh moments ago and got 4.30.10. Now Xbox shows 4K 120Hz DV. 😂

dang! now u guys make me even more regret of not getting the 6.7K CX deal few months back sad.gif

You are good to pass it. 6.7k for 55 CX wasn't the best deal I have seen. During 9.9 it was going for RM5.9k and the C1 was around 7.8-7.9k. So the CX was a better buy during that period.

CX and C1 are very identical in terms of both SDR and HDR brightness. The only diff C1 performs better is the option to enable cinematic movement for the 24p movies judder.

But of course if money is not an issue go for latest C1 and you will get more updates in the future.

Never buy the Sony X90J/X900H, it only has two HDMI 2.1 ports and one of it is eARC, you will struggle with soundbars/home AV + connecting future HDMI 2.1 devices.

Also their VRR support is horrible. Gotta rely on their promises to deliver better functionality OTA.

*
Sony X90H/X90J is a mid range LCD, it is not a flagship TV. It might not be the best gaming TV but the price of the 55" X90H last year for RM3.6K I would say it's fair with FALD, HDMI 2.1, and decent HDR10 / DV.

However I do agree the recent VRR and android 10 update is trash. I updated my backup X90H and the overall UI becomes so sloppy and laggy. Enabling VRR will lose the local dimming feature which is the very basis for proper HDR implementation.

A second VRR update was released in the US yesterday though and supposedly it is PS5-centric with Auto HDR tone mapping (like HGiG) and will resolve some of the VRR issue. I believe HDTVtest reviewed the first VRR update only.
link

Having said all this, the X90H will be my last Sony TV though. I am really disappointed at how they handle PS5-HDR and this so called overpromised PS5 ready TV.
