Should I get the play and charge kit or eneloop rechargeable batteries? If I recalled correctly the rechargeable battery kit feels heavier with the 360 controller back then.

I am using Q600A. Setup via Xbox to CX eARC to soundbar, bitstream and passthrough. I was playing Gears 5 with Atmos on, the audio lag is way too noticeable.

I cheapskate. I will wait for global release haha

Yes it should display even if it is a passthrough. Basically that banner is showing what is the input/current source data being processed. As you can see from the first pic, the Dolby Atmos button for TV speaker is black out meaning it is under ARC already.

If I switch to Dolby Digital on the Xbox sound setup, the TV banner will display "Dolby Digital" instead of "Dolby Atmos" and at the same time the soundbar will not show "Dolby Atmos" logo as well. Normally my soundbar will show this logo only if the Atmos signal is detected. Same goes for netflix and etc. I believe this should be the same for your Q950T.

I have yet to try other Atmos games. But I am sure it is just Atmos problem. If I switch to DD, there will still be audio lag but lesser.

Yes correct. Everything stays the same just Xbox side change to DD. But if I choose uncompressed 5.1 totally no lag. So I believe its a Dolby / Samsung problem.

Although PS5 does not support Dolby, I am using the soundbar for PS5 and everything is working flawlessly.

I just updated my soundbar last week for 29/10 firmware update and the xbox lag issue still persists. I was thinking to upgrade it to Q950A but it seems like they (Samsung or Dolby) still cannot get this shit straight. So I am not splurging on another Samsung soundbar.

I have both LG CX in the living and Sony X90H in the room. You have a valid point though, maybe I should try and move my Xbox to my room to try on the Dolby Atmos passthrough for X90H.

Yes of course, proper 5.1 setup beats a soundbar anytime. Q600A is terrible for updates. It doesn't support OTA and smart things app and the only option is to use USB. The bar couldn't detect my USB and I had to try different USBs and reformat many times to get it to work.

There is no perfect TV. Anyways, I can't wait to try out FH5 tonight!

FH5 is marvelous. I played with performance mode 60 fps on both HDR10 vs Dolby Vision. I can clearly see more "depth" on DV mode and colors, brightness are more well balanced.

HDR10 looks a bit washed out with over exposed shadow details.

Yes 60 fps is the way to go for me. The quality mode is a bit sluggish to my liking and it kills the overall immersive experience imo. I am fine with losing out some of the reflective details here and there.

I can't imagine myself playing 30 fps on a monitor. On a 4K TV maybe still can accept cause will be playing from a distance.

For series X I wonder if it runs on dynamic 4K upscale or native 4K on the quality mode? But 30 fps really cannot la, plus this is a face pace racing game.

Yes it does, it is harder to maneuver if it is 30 fps.

?? I am playing doom eternal just fine. Couldn’t login to Bethesda net though.

But I was able to sign in my gamer tag on my main page and view game pass and etc.

Still keeping my original DOA3 NTSC original disc.

I spent so many hours to play on the first Xbox (yes still keeping the unmodded version) with a CRT as that was my only game for a while back. Big money to me back then also haha.

Coming from Tekken series, I thought the graphics for DOA3 was outstanding. I didn't get one of those Hori arcade fighting stick though. haha

I am using a jap set bought during 10.10, brand new sealed. I know some sellers selling unsealed sets. So far its working great. Yes you will need those travel adaptor if you use the power cable that comes with it. If you have ps3 or ps4 power cables around, then just use those and it will work just fine. My set comes with 3 months supplier warranty for console only. You can check your Jap set on microsoft account when the actual warranty will end for Microsoft japan.

Mine is ending August 2022 meaning the set is still quite new. But if anything happens after 3 months onward, will I be able to RMA back to Japan? Very unlikely unless I know someone there with Jap address. I would strongly recommend getting SG set from impulse/GH if you have the budget. RMA Rm100 only iinm.
