Should I get the play and charge kit or eneloop rechargeable batteries? If I recalled correctly the rechargeable battery kit feels heavier with the 360 controller back then.

QUOTE(tripleB @ Nov 4 2021, 10:01 AM) I personally prefer using the official play and charge kit. Though mine is technically the old Xbox One kit. The battery pack is still the same type. I just need to use a USB C cable instead of the original micro USB one that came with the kit. Ok thanks for your info. I will get the official play and charge kit. |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Nov 8 2021, 10:24 AM) How come ur TV banner will still show Dolby Atmos when you are using External device, hmm .. Yes it should display even if it is a passthrough. Basically that banner is showing what is the input/current source data being processed. As you can see from the first pic, the Dolby Atmos button for TV speaker is black out meaning it is under ARC already. The delay u mentioned is applying to all games or only certain titles? If I switch to Dolby Digital on the Xbox sound setup, the TV banner will display "Dolby Digital" instead of "Dolby Atmos" and at the same time the soundbar will not show "Dolby Atmos" logo as well. Normally my soundbar will show this logo only if the Atmos signal is detected. Same goes for netflix and etc. I believe this should be the same for your Q950T. I have yet to try other Atmos games. But I am sure it is just Atmos problem. If I switch to DD, there will still be audio lag but lesser. This post has been edited by Kahlamx: Nov 8 2021, 03:17 PM |

QUOTE(TongCN @ Nov 8 2021, 03:36 PM) You mentioned that DD will get audio lag, so your setting still same: Yes correct. Everything stays the same just Xbox side change to DD. But if I choose uncompressed 5.1 totally no lag. So I believe its a Dolby / Samsung problem.Xbox - bitstream > Dolby Digital TV - eArc + Passthrough Correct? I didn encounter audio lag under this setting, just that i totally cannot pick Dolby Atmos with Home Theater. Although PS5 does not support Dolby, I am using the soundbar for PS5 and everything is working flawlessly. I just updated my soundbar last week for 29/10 firmware update and the xbox lag issue still persists. I was thinking to upgrade it to Q950A but it seems like they (Samsung or Dolby) still cannot get this shit straight. So I am not splurging on another Samsung soundbar. QUOTE(tripleB @ Nov 8 2021, 06:27 PM) So you're experiencing the lag if audio processing is taking place. Sony probably just uses PCM or LPCM without any processing. I still can't wrap my head around the audio lag thing. My other setup is a Samsung QN85A, Xbox One X and Samsung Q700A. This setup does not have audio lag. I also didn't have lag with my older Samsung Q80T. Nice QN85A you have there. How's Q Symphony working out? QUOTE I think we discussed this a while back. The lag seems to be happening with LG TV over eARC to soundbar, playing with Xbox. But you're using Sony TV right? I don't know about other brands like Toshiba, Philips, Sharp, Panasonic etc. But enough sample data exist to suggest it's on the TV side. I have both LG CX in the living and Sony X90H in the room. You have a valid point though, maybe I should try and move my Xbox to my room to try on the Dolby Atmos passthrough for X90H.This post has been edited by Kahlamx: Nov 8 2021, 06:40 PM |

QUOTE(tripleB @ Nov 8 2021, 07:37 PM) Q Symphony is like a free audio upgrade if you have a Samsung TV + soundbar. It still can't replace my home theatre setup with proper 5.1 channel, but the audio is clearer and louder now. Yes of course, proper 5.1 setup beats a soundbar anytime. Q600A is terrible for updates. It doesn't support OTA and smart things app and the only option is to use USB. The bar couldn't detect my USB and I had to try different USBs and reformat many times to get it to work. Err I actually haven't tried updating the Q700A since purchase. I do actually have Smart Things installed. I should probably give it a go. FH5 is marvelous. I played with performance mode 60 fps on both HDR10 vs Dolby Vision. I can clearly see more "depth" on DV mode and colors, brightness are more well balanced.
HDR10 looks a bit washed out with over exposed shadow details. |

QUOTE(thesnake @ Nov 10 2021, 07:15 PM) FH5 absolutely a beast to play with.. i felt the controls are more tighter than FH4. And the 60fps is superb. Too bad i don't have Dolby Vision supported TV. Really eyeing the LG C1 soon! Yes 60 fps is the way to go for me. The quality mode is a bit sluggish to my liking and it kills the overall immersive experience imo. I am fine with losing out some of the reflective details here and there. This post has been edited by Kahlamx: Nov 10 2021, 09:17 PM |

QUOTE(tripleB @ Nov 11 2021, 11:05 AM) I can't do 30fps at all now. Too used to playing FH3 and FH4 on PC with 60fps. And now up to 120fps with FH5. I do actually notice the hit to visual quality when playing on Performance mode, but I'd take that over 30fps anytime. I can't imagine myself playing 30 fps on a monitor. On a 4K TV maybe still can accept cause will be playing from a distance. For series X I wonder if it runs on dynamic 4K upscale or native 4K on the quality mode? But 30 fps really cannot la, plus this is a face pace racing game. |

QUOTE(Kidicarus @ Nov 11 2021, 09:41 AM) Managed to 3 star all the drift zones at 30fps but I had to switch up to 60fps for some of the story missions.. So yeah, in my experience the fps does have some effect on gameplay.. |

Still keeping my original DOA3 NTSC original disc. I spent so many hours to play on the first Xbox (yes still keeping the unmodded version) with a CRT as that was my only game for a while back. Big money to me back then also haha. tripleB liked this post

QUOTE(tripleB @ Nov 16 2021, 03:14 PM) I really, really should have bought DOA3 when the OG Xbox was still around. I did actually love it very much. But back then I just played pirated stuff, didn't have enough appreciation for originals. And now I can't find DOA3 anymore. I did end up buying DOA Ultimate when I was in Japan. But sadly I couldn't find DOA3. Who doesn't? Coming from Tekken series, I thought the graphics for DOA3 was outstanding. I didn't get one of those Hori arcade fighting stick though. haha |

QUOTE(NewB-MX @ Nov 19 2021, 07:01 PM) Hi all. Considering getting XSX. Anyone knows whether Japan set has any disadvantages compared to Spore (apart from needing an adapter)? I am using a jap set bought during 10.10, brand new sealed. I know some sellers selling unsealed sets. So far its working great. Yes you will need those travel adaptor if you use the power cable that comes with it. If you have ps3 or ps4 power cables around, then just use those and it will work just fine. My set comes with 3 months supplier warranty for console only. You can check your Jap set on microsoft account when the actual warranty will end for Microsoft japan. There is a seller for Japan set offering 12 months supplier warranty for both console n controller. A few other sellers for Spore set only offer 3 months or 0 month for controller. Tx in advance. Mine is ending August 2022 meaning the set is still quite new. But if anything happens after 3 months onward, will I be able to RMA back to Japan? Very unlikely unless I know someone there with Jap address. I would strongly recommend getting SG set from impulse/GH if you have the budget. RMA Rm100 only iinm. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by Kahlamx: Nov 20 2021, 11:48 AM |

QUOTE(tripleB @ Nov 29 2021, 03:19 PM) Uhh what happens after I do a manual transfer? I've made the transfer, but on my order, it still shows 'Make Payment' under the Payment Information. How do I update that I've made payment? I did the update payment thing as well as forward order email to shop@qisahn.com with transfer slip. They replied me within 30 minutes and updated my payment to verified and paid. |
