Have been using the Series X for a few days now. It is everything I wanted it to be and more.

Everything loads so fast with the SSD, and the framerates are buttery smooth in virtually game I have tested. I have been out of touch with console gaming recently due to the inconvenience in the past few years. Going back to the ancient long load speeds on my Xbox One after playing COD Mobile or PUBG on my phone didn't make sense. On top of that, the constantly dropping framerates on Xbox One was very noticeable. Because of this, my Xbox Controller has spent most of the past MCO months strapped to my phone mount for COD Mobile. Lot of phone comparisons I know, but I think it is relevant to the times.

I can safely say the Series X is pulling me back in to console gaming again. The drastically improved load times is such a huge improvement, fast travelling in Assassin's Creed Valhalla and switching cars in Forza Horizon 4 feels as fast as loading a game on a smartphone, except it's on a huge tv playing in 4K 60FPS with HDR! Testing out games which have suffered in performance last gen like PUBG and Jedi: Fallen Order and now running in locked 60FPS is just so exciting. Gears 5 is a great showcase and the multiplayer is more fun than I expected too.

Quick resume works like magic. Game pass is also the best value in gaming ever, nuff' said?

Seriously I'm having such a great experience that I am already shopping again thinking of which next Series X optimized game to get. I have been waiting so long to be this excited again for consoles, next gen is definitely here and it is off to an incredible start with Xbox.

Simple, will only give you 1 reason.

Reason 1: If money is a concern, Xbox due to ultimate gamepass + eaplay. Period.

imo if you want the full experience, you gotta get the compatible headphones

my first wiresless xbox headphone was razer chimera 5.1 for x360, it's very good imo compared to normal wired one, except the crappy battery life
next was Sony Gold wireless for PS4, it's good compared to normal one,
then I upgraded to Steelseries Arctis Pro, it's compatible for both XB1 and PS4, albeit no chat function on XB1, it's best purchase of my life, good batt life, comfy, doesn't gave me sweaty ears or head pressure from prolong use, and damn good audio too
too bad next gen both console doesn't come with a optical out anymore, meaning I can't use it there
So gotta look for a new wireless headset for next gen consoles, so far the reviews on Arctis 7x isn't bad, might grab that one once I got my next gen consoles
seems that one is compatible with both camp also, which is another plus point.

I don't have a strong opinion either way, because most headphones just offer stereo sound. Wired or wireless. I forgot which exact headphone claims to offer Dolby Atmos support on Xbox or PC. Turns out the implementation still uses Dolby Access app. So in the end it's still software.

The wireless headphones of course offer less hassle compared to wired. And if you have the Dolby Atmos for headphones app, it can still use Dolby Atmos for spatial sound. If you don't like being tethered to a wire while playing games or watching movies, wireless would be better.

Doubt anything will come out of it. GH will still be GH

My series S is registered as Xbox One in my Microsoft account. Should I ignore it or is this normal?

The sad thing is, GH really was the go-to shop during the 360/PS3 era. I got my first PS3 unit from them too. And despite owning a modded console, I did actually support originals on 360. My 360 games collection is bigger than my PS3 collection. This was the time when I seriously understood the impact software piracy has on game developers. GH and some other shops like Impulse became my places to buy games and accessories. It's actually sad now that we longer talk about GH in the same way...

Ah you ended up canceling with them. I understand why. The friend's brother in my previous post swore off GH more than a decade ago. I suppose I should probably do the same, but every once a while I might get something from them. They no longer get my exclusive business though. There are more places I can buy from these days.

That's why I'm still waiting for impulse - I believe they will actually assist with the RMA process which is the next best thing to a local warranty.

You should consider the razer wolverine 2 as it uses mechanical switches. Wired though ...

I used to have sub par experience with my OG Xbox One controllers related to the D-pad, but not the buttons. They fixed the D-pad on the Bluetooth models. This is honestly the first time I heard about the sticky A button though.
